One of the oldest place long before Hindu Dynasty. I don't know why the Archaeological Survey of India is not taking responsibility to maintain the place it is also the responsibility of the government to spread the awareness so The villages near the Kaushambi Palace did not damage the Raj Mahal as I have seen that many of the villagers took some stones from there to build the huts and houses. I don't think that the key person ever go to that place even in a year. The huge fund is comes from the government but don't know what happened why the Archaeological survey of India is not maintaining with that fund.

    >2500 years old palace and fort of King Udyana of Kosamb. Nice to visit. It is known for the famous incidence took place due to enanimity of Queen Magandiya towards Queen Shyama (Patron of Buddha). Due to fake charge on her Queen Shyama inflamed herself. And afterwards when King Udyana became known to the truth behind the inflammation by Queen Shyama, he passed the order to burn alive the wicked Queen Magandiya.

Kaushambi, presently Kosam, in the bank of the Yamuna, is established by changing capital Hashtinapur , the capital of Kuru's dynasty, was frequently effected by flood. It's 55 km from Allahabad, UP. It is believed that the name Koushambhi is created according to name of Kaushamb, the son of Kush which is told in the Adikanda of the Ramayana. One can come here in various mode through near Sarai Akil. The direct bus is available from the Leader Road, just near Rail Station and the time about 2.30 hrs or via Pura Mifty, Monouri. The accommodation may available at the Srilankan Monastery or in Monastery or in the Jain temple. The required time for knowing the place is about 3 days. Here came Lord Buddha, Ananda, Heu En Yuang and Lord Mahavira near Pavosa and it's also a place where some Bouddha philosophy was created. The Ghositaram, the Asokan Pillar, the ruined of the palace of the king Udayan of Vatsya dynasty ( about 2450 bc ) speak with us. And the other bank of the Yamuna speaks us the life of the Chedi Raj Shishupal, Pradyut , the king of Avanti, Basabadatta, the fianche or the catching of elephant by the Vatsya Raja and the travel of Ananda, the disciple of Lord Buddha from the Ghositaram to Pavosa.

Lack of all the basic facilities for tourists. It can be developed as a very good tourist spot but due to carelessness of government go to be fully or completely ruined and extinct
