It was hard to reach there especially in the winter times. Part of the road was coveted with the ice. And standard 1km of steep road to reach it will put your physical condition to the test. This was first time to visist it in the winter times i didnt expect it to be frozen. If we waited enough we could get some cool shots of the ice falling down.

Very special winter hike. All trails were passable. Except the descent to the waterfall. It was closed for security reasons. We enjoyed the views and the frozen waterfall. Definitely recommended.

Great hike! U can go by ar and then walk in the park. Or walk for 3:20 minutes from the Sarajevo City Hall which is a nice but an exhausting, and sometimes steep walk. But, for me, it was worth it.

Very nice family experience. There are two routes to approach waterfall Skakavac. From below through the forest and from above the waterfall. We took the first route through the forest and returned using the route above the waterfall making a full circle and finishing at Hotel Promaha where we started hiking. With a three year old child, we covered 9.4 km in approximately four hours. In spite of fact that it might be challenging at some points, I warmheartedly recommend this hike as family experience. Bring comfortable walking shoes, water and sandwiches and don't give up :)

The highest waterfall in Balkans, almost untouched part of nature, yet close to capital of BiH...Kindly recomend to hikers and all lovers of nature..Others better stay in nargilhana's and popular places in town..😉😉😉

It was Sunday when we visited this site. Shame to know that so many Sarajevo residents haven’t visited this place yet. Well preserved, not accessible for cars and requires a bit effort to get there. But once there it’s breathtaking.

About 6 km long route easy to follow easy to do it. We went after rainy day so it was a little slippery, but not so much. Reaching the waterfall is mind-blowing. It is really huge. The upper bridge is still standing, but it going to break some day for sure. You can take a lot of photos from there to the opposite hills as well. Really recommended to go there
