I hope it's open to public. From downtown it looks impressive So I decided to climb to the white fortress. It is in the location for good view but it is closed by fence . Not much to see there. I prefer the view from yellow bastion.

Great place with even better view. Even though its a lot when walking there its all worth it. I heard that they know sell tickets to go in which makes me very sad considering that is one of few national beauties of Sarajevo...

If you're staying somewhere around you should visit this place. View are amazing. Unfortunately, there are no information about the place inside! You have to read something about it beforehand, otherwise the visit won't be so interesting. Entrance fee is 5 bam.

Closed! Looks like it has been closed for quite some time, I suspect since covid. The kiosk has a sign that says 5 marks entrance fee, but the sign on the gate says no passing. I wouldn't bother hiking or driving up here. Just go to the yellow fortress.

Was closed to the public and loads of trash / graffiti. You can walk around it once up to get a cool view of Sarajevo. Also where the view is theres a chest height fence between you and going into the fortress…

How dare they make us pay five KM for this terrible place ? It is an absolute shame and it hasn’t been renovated at all. It has been left to abandon to rot and they’re trying to make money out of it. Absolutely flabbergasted - don’t go there.

This is not a place for 5 stars...not for the price. This costs around 5 bam per person which expensive if you visit a fortress which is in ruins, without any indication on what this was and especially how much dangerous this is in some parts, with occasions to fall down by around 3 meters. The landscape worths all the 4 starts of this review, as for the rest, do not waste your time.

Picturesque place . Old fort Bijela Tabija is a protruding part of the wall of what was historically known as the old Vratnik City

Entry fee required but great views on Sarajevo and the surrounding mountains. Caution when walking towards the walls as there are no guide rails.

Old castle overlooking Sarajevo and all around, it's a great place to walk up to and very quiet area.

Interesting ruins of a fort, not that well presented sadly, more information would be good. Costs 5KM.

Not worth the price.... an old fortress, abandoned nothing to do there not even a small museum. The only good thing is it has a nice view.

On of many view points in Sarajevo. Unfortunately, not open every day. Price for entrance is expensive. Best part is walking from center through narrow streets.

What a great view on the city of Sarajevo. If you're coming to Sarajevo, you should definitely go there and enjoy the food and view

I was sad to see all the writings on the walls and stones, wishing that they will be removed & the fortress renovated.

Very lot trash around the fortress. A lot graffiti are on the walls. The view from the castle is amazing. There is a restaurant before the castle, there is no entrance fee.

Call a taxi to come here. It's 100m uphill. The taxi from downtown costed us 5€. You can go back to downtown by foot in a 15 minute walk downhill

The views here are great, but the fortress itself is in very poor condition and there are also no safety railings next to 10-15 ft falls into various pits. Graffiti colors every available surface.

The best place for sunset in Sarajevo, amazing view. Bring pizza, beer and enjoy the view! It can be reached by car, but at one point of the road macadam starts and you can leave the car there. This is an old fortress that was a part of the wall of the city Vratnik, along with Yellow Fortress. According to one opinion it was built in 1550, and according to another it existed during the Middle Ages.

When we walked there it was closed with no reason. Just closed gates. It was friday 13:00. But anyway, it cost 5 km, but as my opinion it is nothing for what to pay. If you need viewpoint you can go to yellow bastion with free entrance.

although the walk (+/- 20/30 min.) up the mountain is pretty steep, you'll be rewarded with a beautiful view over Sarajevo. it's possible to climb on the fortress to get a full 360 view which is amazing

Great view of the city. Do not expect too much.

5 KM for absolutely nothing. There are much better views around... for free !

Must visit place. One of my favorite places to visit in Sarajevo. The 360° view is stunning and one of the best overlookes to city.Historical background is also important. Whats most important it is amazingly close to city center, and gives you opportunity anytime to hop on escaping city noise and rush, great restaurans can be found closely near by. Has special meaning to me. Simply flawless

👍👍 An absolute piece of paradise in the middle of Sarajevo. It is such a hidden gem definitely worth visiting and exploring. Your kids will love it here, but be cautious, it might be hard to make them leave. There is no entrance fee. You can come with a car but have to pay for a parking place. Parkin...
