The daytime waiter was extremely professional, attentive, and provided great service. Unfortunately, the night time waiter was the complete opposite. He spent more time taking to the men at the bar than attending to the rest of the patrons. Not only did I have to call him every time to get served, he short changed me at the end of my time there. The bill came to 9.50 KM and I gave him 20 KM, then told him to just give me back 10 as I wasn’t satisfied with his service. He then didn’t come back for 10 minutes, when I went to him and said “can I get my change back?”, he simply smirked and said you only gave me 10KM. This place is very cozy and has a nice atmosphere but I will not be returning simply because of this behaviour.

Balkan express is definetly a place you should visit in Sarajevo during any pub crawl, or just in case you want to grab a cold beer or rakija shot.There is a lot of 80's and 90's soul in this bar. During hot summer nights, covered in cigarette smoke and smell of rakija, you can see an old face of Yugoslavia spirit. ;)

This is one of those cozy places where you feel like home and can relax. Staff is very friendly and prices are very much affordable. The whole idea of the interior is actually inspired by ex-Yugoslavian design, so when you walk in you feel that vibe. There are pictures of all things Yugoslavian on the walls, and the design of the furniture is from that period, which is kinda cool. One of those places where you'll probably meet new people, because atmosphere is relaxed. All in all worth visiting.

Great atmospheric place with interesting interior and alternative crowd. Great music! Not for those not accustomed to the heavy cigarette smoke since space is relatively small and often packed with smokers.

Cool bar in some kind of ex yugoslavia style. Everything reminds on some good old Yugoslavian times. There; s also a very nice collection of foreign money, from all around world, mostly left by people who visited bar. Its popular among foreigners i would say. Anyway it is my favorite place for morning coffee when im in Sarajevo, and also for beer. Must see place when visiting Bosnian capitol.

Great atmosphere, affordable prices. If you're non smoker beware of slightly bad ventilation system, you might end up smelling like an ashtray.

A caffe for an overview of the good 80s Yugoslavia. Nice way to expirience the whole zeit-geist.
