My friend and I were exploring a local neighbourhood and we stumbled upon Veranda. We liked the look of the Ramadan menu that was posted on the window so we stepped inside. The gentleman that greeted us was so kind as he explained everything in English to the best of his ability. We ordered a meal with a few courses and were not disappointed. The meat was done to perfection and there was plenty of it. The ambiance of the restaurant was classy yet comfortable. Thank you for making us feel welcome!

Amazing restaurant next to the old city center, the owner is very nice and helpful. The food is really good and the portions are huge. Definitely recommended to go there while you are in Sarajevo !

Highly recommended hidden gem in the centre of Sarajevo, but without all the cars and crowds. Really cozy and good vibe, plus the food was awesome! They helped us to decide the dishes since we were new to the city, really nice hospitality, feels like home! Really affordable even compared to other places in the city.

BE CAREFUL!!! UNPROFESSIONAL BUSINESS!!! It is expensive and they don’t accept credit card. I got meat stew and paid 20 BKM. Prices are really high for a restaurant which is not in central area. Food is ok. I don’t know how it got high ratings. Not recommended. UPDATE: I am changing the review from three stars to one star because of the reply. Clearly business owner needs training on communication. I will not reply insults because I will be in same level with them. I would never trust my food with people like this.

Tasty food, good prices and kind owner.

Really nice and welcoming owner, great barbecue food, and chill atmosphere. It is very beautiful during the night. This is a must-visit rare gem for anyone visiting Sarajevo.

We had really good traditional food here. The food was fresh and homemade. The owner is really friendly and explains you the menu with pictures on his phone. I would definitely come back to eat here.

I came twice because the simple and authentic food is delicious and the portions are just fine. You always get a nice advice what might be best for you. Ask and listen what they might offer you. I probably have to came another time - try and find out by yourself. This time I had Dolmar - there is more to find out!

A nice place with very friendly service, just a bit more than 100m up from the cathedral and out of the tourist zone. Very reasonable prices. Excellent food!

Wow. I had the lamb and beef stew with a lemonade to drink. The stew was amazing and one of the best I've ever had. The homemade lemonade was wonderful as well. The man running the place was extremely kind. Make sure to bring cash. Will definitely return.

The best vegetarian food that you can get in Sarajevo. It was absolutely fantastic, large portion and extremely tasteful. Also the service was very good, the waiter explained dishes and give us recommendations. If I could eat the same thing over and over again, it would definitely be this!!

Greatest food we've had in Bosnia by far, you must eat here if you're in Sarajevo. Good vegetarian options, and the meat platter is the best I've ever had! Great service as well, very pleasant experience.

The food is amazing, the vegetarian food is amazing, the owner is unbelievably friendly and hospital (not in a touristy way), the location and atmosphere are superb and last but not least, it is very affordable. Best breakfast we have ever eaten! If we could we would give it 50 stars. The owner is extremely polite,kind and helpful. If you want domestic, rustic feeling of real Sarajevo this is the place to go.

We waited for 10 minutes without waiter even realising we were there.. he was serving the table across us and didnt even bother to say hello or give us a menu. And the place smells very bad! Dont go there

Truly amazing food and very friendly staff/owner. They were very helpful with deciding on what we should eat. It felt like we had been invited to someone’s home. The prices were also a lot lower than most of the places around.

Absolutely cracking place - food and price just terrific. Menu only in Bosnian but the owner will show you photos and describe as best he can, also can connect to their wifi and use Google Translate via camera. Recommendation: Just go to the Bosnian /local food section.

Me and my 8 friends turned up here late and asked if he was closing or able to take us as a table. Despite working alone and the time, we were welcomed into this restaurant, and the owner put on the most amazing spread of traditional Bosnian food and grilled veal. The portions were seriously massive and good value. We had two vegetarians in our group who he also catered to without problem, and it was clear real thought and care had gone into their meals too. The restaurant itself is very beautiful, and in a nice spot slightly away from the crowds.

I fell in love with this place. It’s crazy cinematic. There was no one there, but the owner and a couple of friends. Once I sat down some neighborhood guys walked in and out for a chat, but no tourists. The food is pretty much all meat, but it’s made with love and the sides are all perfect. If you want authentic, go to this place.
