Disappointing experience at Chipas restaurant I recently had the unfortunate pleasure of dining at Chipas restaurant and I have to say it was one of the most disappointing restaurant visits I have ever had. From the moment I entered, the waiters seemed stressed and extremely unfriendly. It seemed as if they had no patience or kindness for the guests. Paying turned into a real nightmare, even though you had to go to the cashier yourself. There was chaos and stress, and it seemed as if the staff were completely overwhelmed. Instead of ensuring a smooth process, you felt like a number that had to be processed. Not only was the food cold, but it didn't taste very good. There was a lack of taste and quality. It was obvious that little care and attention was put into the preparation of the food. What shocked me the most was the claim that there was no water. However, I could not understand this as I had previously visited the toilet and everything was working fine there. It seemed as if the staff were deliberately lying to deceive the guests. All in all, my visit to Chipas restaurant was an absolutely disappointing experience. The stressed and unfriendly staff, the cold and tasteless food and the untrue statement regarding the water make this restaurant absolutely unrecommendable for any tourist. I strongly advise against visiting this terrible restaurant.

As regular customer at this facility, I've become disappointed in a service quality they provide. Span ratio between price and quantity/quality is so high, that you could eat same quantity/quality food for much less price. Corona came and with it inflation, so as it follows prices went up (understadably), but I don't see a reason for lesser quantity/quality change. I have to give praises to staff for being friendly and communicative as always.

Cheap eats all based on chicken meat. They also serve pasta and delicious cakes and sweets. The price for every meal they serve is 4.5KM (€2.5), making it the favourite place among the younger generations. Nice ambient too. Totally recommend!

The cheap prices and the good quality of the food make this place perfect. The meat is always fresh and waiting for the food isn't long usually. The only thing is that on the weekends and when it's lunch time, the place gets completely crowded. The waiters aren't always nice, but most of them are.

This is a good value for money restaurant and they have many options in their menu. I took pasta with Bosnian dry beef and it was okay. In the downstairs, the restaurant has patisserie section that you can find small well designed cakes. However, their taste is not as good as their design. If you don’t want to spend much money, you can try this restaurant.

The pasta was on good. The food came quickly but there isn’t enough vegetarian options. There was some confusion around their halal status as one waiter mentioned the food was halal and the other said no- this maybe because they didn’t have a certificate to prove their meat was halal but none the less did leave us feeling conflicted about eating any meat there. They mentioned the fried cheese was halloumi but it was mozzarella- also they didn’t have a couple of things on the menu which was a let down especially as they were mostly vegetarian options.

Potatoes are like ice. I ordered chicken burger but breads are cold also. Waiters cant speak english. We ordered food. Then we decided to drink something with food. But waiter bring beverages after we ate. And after that he act like he is kidding with us. As a tourist that was disgusting experience. I do not recommend this place.

Portions were huge and prices were very cheap. It’s always crowded, nice place for lunch.

The food was ok, but the waiters brought us the wrong food and when we said it was the wrong food the waiter was very rude and uncooperative then we had to pay the meal I asked the waiter if we could pay he said to wait, 10 minutes pass and still no waiter. Me and my friends went up to him to ask if we could pay he said yes and for those 15 seconds of paying for the food he was very rude.

The service was quite fast and the food decent and affordable. The menu on the table was only in Bosnian so I had to ask for a recommendation from the waiter, which in fact turned out to be good. Perhaps the only thing I didn't enjoy about the place was people smoking around me.

I ordered some chicken strips and they tasted pretty good but the prices are a bit high for what you pay for. Before it was 5.90 KM and now it's 7.90 KM. I wish they had salt and pepper available since the fries weren't that salty. Would I go here again? Maybe if my friends invited me but I personally wouldn't want to spend 10 KM every time I want to head out and eat something.

The waitstaff was very friendly and answered my questions about the menu. The food was prepared quickly. Great late night spot.

Awful. I went there once and never again. The food was dry, not even warm, you could tell nothing was fresh. They had two or three waiters and only one was nice. The other two didn't even know if they had any free tables. Better spend your money elsewhere. It might cost more but at least you will eat nicely.

The food is great. The prices are really good. However, every time I go there the staff is very mean and doesnt even get my order right most of the time. Ive been avoiding going there because of that.

By far the best food in Sarajevo with amazing price to quality. If you are looking to grab a quick bite or chat with your friends this is a great place to go.

They have very affordable delicious dishes based on chicken. The service is very fast and the staff are nice. It tends to be crowded from time to time but other than that everything is great.

Chipas are located several places in Sarajevo. I usually visit the one in midtown. Always crowded but I still mange to get a table. Other wise wait a few minutes and a table will show up. Very good prices and actually delicious food. I have been here so many times that I have tried the whole menu and will recommend everything on the menu :-) The service level could be better but that is very common in Sarajevo.

Amazing restaurant, been there for the first time and loved it. The waiter is really polite, meal was very well made. The chicken is in almost every dish so if you dislike chicken, this isn't the restaurant for you. The prices aren't expensive, all meals cost the same, the design is very calming. Recommend for everyone!

Great place if you like chicken! Also, they have very good cakes for an amazing price! Also chicken meals are not expensive, only 3eur, and the cakes are 1.25eur, so you can have a very good meal for a super good price!

Excelent prices.. All meals are 2.50€ or cheaper. It can get little crowded due to low prices, but if you are in need for a cheap and tasty meal.. This is a place for you.
