Recommended by our Airbnb host Nick. Fantastic place and delicious food👍👍👍 This restaurant is off the main walking street inside a narrow lane and a bit hard to find. Always busy and full of customers. Staffs are super good and professional. I would say the best we had during our stay in Sarajevo. Really enjoyed their roasted vegetables and bean stew soup. We visited the city in August 2019. Remember if you come here in a rainy August night, if you have no choices and are seated outside, make sure wear something thick to keep you warm😳😂the cold air flow through the lane is quite chilly.

Chicken lasagna was good and I was starving, but almost didn't have chicken... So that's my review is good, not amazing. Music was nice. Atmosphere is cool. Btw only cash!

Food was ok. Staff were very rude and they seemed like they don’t want to work at all, they just keep ignoring you. Waited for so long. The smell of the Rakija is so strong it was annoying.

A gem hidden in the old town market! Amazing food and atmosphere. A must when you are in Sarajevo. Can take a while to get the food, but it's worth the wait. Soak in the surrounding and enjoy a nice drink while you wait for your food. Will definitely be back next time I visit Sarajevo.

Barhana is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike, as it caters to a more cosmopolitan crowd than many other local restaurants. The pizza is among the best in the city, and that's really saying something. They're also rightly known for their lasagna. An extensive list of rakija, standard beers on tap, a good list of bottled beers, and relatively inexpensive wine round out your alcohol options. As has been noted in other reviews, this place can get really busy on Friday and Saturday evenings, slowing service to a crawl. But sit back, share a rakija or coffee, and take in the Bosnian experience.

Food here is outstanding. Concentrate on the ambience and food, it’s the best. I had the lasagne, I know it’s hard to go wrong on a lasagne, but this one is the best I’ve ever had in my life!

One of my favourite spots in Sarajevo. You hide from the crowds yet you are immersed in the true Bosnian experience. The food is great, the service is good, it’s great value for money and a perfect location. The only downside - wish it was bigger 😉

Food taste okay overall, not really wonderful or excellent level and NOT WORTH TO WAIT 1 HOUR tho. We ordered spicy chicken soup and Bosnian pot but chicken soup was obviously lukewarm with no taste. Service of waiter could be better to be honest. Waiter didn't bring the manu so i had to take one from another table. He came to our table for asking order and finally cleaned plates from previous guest. Overall this is not the place to come again for their food with being patient 1 hour.

Worst and most unfriendly service! He was bringing us the wrong wine, then forgetting our food, taking the order a second time and forgot one plate. No sorry, no try to offer us something else!! One person left without dinner after waiting already 1,5hours!!! Gulasch was also just ok, Sarajevo Plate was good.

Amazingly tasty food! This place is unique and the food is delicious. Try grappas, they have an excellent selection. Out of several restaurants we tried in the old town neighborhood, this place was the best. I read negative reviews and cannot agree with any of them. Our waiter was very nice, polite, and attentive. Come for the atmosphere and experience a traditional Bosnian dishes.

The waiter was very rude and tried to scam us. First he says Beer on tap is not available and pushes us to buy more expensive drinks whilst he is serving the locals with tap beer. Then refuses to give more than 1 menu card even when explicitly asked for 2. Lastly, he said the bill was 10-12KM more than it actually was. When asked to provide a bill, he said there is no bill here and gave us a menu to find the prices ourselves. Overall a very bad experience.. Would not recommend anyone to go there. PS: Food was decent at best.

One of the places in Sarajevo that you will quickly fall in love with. Variety of food, very warm atmosphere and the service was quick and polite.

Barhana is one of those places that you come back to again and again after many years. They have a brick oven and a nice rustic and special atmosphere where you always have the feeling that you can have a good meal and a good laughter. It's positioned in a small alley with a lot of charm full of old town vibes, and it's good to visit both in the winter and in the summer. During the summer they have a lot of outdoor sitting space available for sitting.

One of my fav places and must go on every trip to Sarajevo. Great food, reasonable prices and nice atmosphere. Locals coming here as well, so no a tourist trap. Friendly staff, fast service. Busy place, so make a reservation or be lucky.

Lovely cute restaurant in the middle of old town Sarajevo with very nice atmosphere. Plenty of national dishes available to try. Highly recommend the Bosnian pot and the tomato soup.

Great restaurant hidden off the main streets in Old Town. Awesome value for a meal & glass of local wine. The Chicken with blue cheese sauce & lasagna was delicious!

Very warm place: inside is full of plants and very familiar. We took the bosniac pot and a bean's soup. It was all very good, genuine, and with very honest price. I'll come back next day here, also to taste the rakias.

Best place for traditional Bosnian food. Great variety, location and atmosphere. Price might be a little bit higher than other but it is totally worth it. Come here, you will not be disappointed

We accidentally discovered this place after hitting the closed door in restaurant nearby. We were not disappointed, everything was delicious.

This food is amazing, ordered Pizza Margarita, Fungi Pizza ( cheese, sauce and mushrooms) and the bolognese lasagna. It took usually 30-40 mins, but the waiter told us 1 hour to have the order. A bit too busy in the weekends.
