This year, our family embarked on a remarkable vacation with Funky Tours along the Adriatic coast. Our journey commenced in the picturesque city of Tribunj, and we sailed through enchanting islands, including Zlarin and Zmajan, before reaching the breathtaking national park, Kornati. The experience amid nature was truly exceptional, with crystal-clear waters and awe-inspiring views that left an indelible mark on our memories. The trip was incredibly relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable, offering us the opportunity to witness some of the most stunning sunsets and even catch a glimpse of dolphins in the morning. Funky Tours played a pivotal role in making our experience seamless and unforgettable. They efficiently organized our transfer to the port and provided a skilled skipper who not only guided us to remarkable destinations but also introduced us to some of the most magnificent bays along the way. The local restaurants we visited were charming, serving delicious fish and contributing to our immersion in the authentic coastal experience. Most importantly, our family discovered an entirely new and enriching way of vacationing, thanks to Funky Tours. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Funky Tours for orchestrating this incredible journey and providing us with memories that will last a lifetime. We wholeheartedly recommend them to everyone seeking a similar enriching experience.

I did three tours with Funky Tours: the Siege tour; Travnik & Jajce; and Total Herzegovina Tour & Transfer. All three tours were excellent, with great guides and lots of wonderful experiences. It was challenging to plan things during the pandemic, but the team at Funky Tours helped me see a lot of the country. Thanks for everything!

Emir was a fantastic local and all round tour guide for my tunnel tour of Sarajevo. He was really sensitive about making changes for my mobility issues. He answered the sixteen million questions I had about the country. I'd recommend this tour for anyone as a must do when in Sarajevo!

Funky tours was amazing. Nadira, the clerk was really good accommodating our family to the tour we took. Almir, our driver and tour guide was great, he really went above and beyond, our whole experience in Srebrenica was full of knowledge, he’s probably one of the most knowledgeable guy I ever met. Our other tour guide Tarik was also very knowledgeable and it was great he gave us other perspective of what happened in his country. I highly recommend Funky Tours.

We did a couple of trips with Funky Tours whilst in Bosnia and they were both great. Really easy to book and they were super friendly and helpful. The guides were full of knowledge and we saw so much and learnt so much about Bosnia's history. We did the tunnels tour and the connecting tour from Sarajevo to Dubrovnik.

I did the free walking and food tasting tour and it was absolutely amazing. People from the office are super friendly and my guide was excellent! One of the best guides I’ve ever had for a tour. Sometimes guides can sound like they play a recorded tape and read a script… but Ahmet really explained everything in his own words which made it super interesting to listen to. All the important buildings now really got a meaning when I walked past them after the tour. Wish I had a chance to do some of their other tours too as they look amazing.

Visited Sarajevo a few weeks ago (June 2023) & did 3 tours with Funky Tours. I started asking them a million questions by email months ago when I was first planning my trip & it was very helpful, great communication with friendly staff. I also spent hours reading pretty much every link & article on their website so I suggest that alone as a valuable planning too! The first day I had the morning city walk (free; tips only) with Mary. She gave us a good overview of the city & its history. The route also provides a handy orientation which let me plan where to visit later. I also took Mary's suggestion for where to eat cevapi & later had a delicious dinner! That afternoon I had the "siege" tour with Almir. He told us personal stories about his experiences during the war & made sure we had plenty of time to view all the sites. He even drove me to the ICAR beef monument after the tour so I could snap pics of that, a bonus visit :) For the full-day Srebrenica memorial visit our guide was Mustafa, who also shared his personal stories with us & a historical overview of the events. We had lunch with Leila, a local survivor. It was very touching to meet her & of course the meal was delicious. Finally Funky Tour also helped arrange a taxi to the airport for my very early flight, much appreciated! I hope someday to visit again; Bosnia & Herzegovina is beautiful & Funky Tours was fantastic. I had a wonderful hike in Sutjeska National park. We left on time. The guides were funny and entertaining. I liked that we were a small group- only 5ppl. Unfortunately, I wanted to do more tours with them- as they have some unique ones, not the "traditional" ones you find at the other agencies, but my time in Sarajevo was cut short. Hope I will return to Sarajevo soon and for sure I will contact them again. Also Ema, the manager tries all her best to accommodate all the needs.

We took an afternoon siege tour of Sarajevo with Mustafa which gave an insightful overview of life during the conflict. We also took a day transfer tour from Sarajevo to Dubrovnik. It was a long day but an amazing way to transfer between the 2 destinations on our trip. Even better was that it turned out to be just mum and I so we could set our own schedule. The sights along the way were stunning. Alja was an excellent driver, guide and good company throughout the day. Would 100% recommend funky tours. Excellent communication and a fantastic tour company! Thank you

During a one week trip to Sarajevo I made three tours with Funky Tours. Especially the Mostar-Trip with Almir was funny. Although I was the only guest they didn't cancel the tour and so I spent a day with a guide who turned out to be a music-soulmate (... a lot of eighties Rock in the car all along the way :-) I can recommend the agency - all the people witch whom I had conntact were very friendly and helpful. Bosnia in general is a country well worth visiting - rich of history and natural beauty.

I had the pleasure of completing the Total Herzegovina tour from Sarajevo to Dubrovnik. My guide Merima and driver Arif were exceptional. They were both friendly and easy to get on with, which made the day enjoyable and comfortable.Their English was perfect. They both had lots of knowledge and information that they shared with me and were also interested to hear my story. We stopped at Blagaj, Počitelj, Kravice Waterfalls, Konjic and Jablanica. The waterfalls were amazing and there are lots of opportunities for some great photos. I would definitely use Funky Tours again as they have so many interesting tours available. My tour was a full day, 10 hours and I couldnt have spent the day with anyone better than Merima and Arif. Thank you to you both for a wonderful day.

I did two tours (Dubrovnik -> Sarajevo, Sarajevo -> Belgrade) and both were fantastic! The price is very reasonable for the number of sites visited / length of the trip (~7-8 stops on both, entrance included to all attractions), the guide and driver were very knowledgeable (and went above and beyond to share their own personal experiences, history about the locations, providing social and political context where appropriate, etc.) and I'd absolutely recommend them to anyone. The days are long, but that's to be expected when you're traveling overland and seeing some of the sights off the beaten path. 10/10, would absolutely use Funky Tours anywhere I'm going in the area!

A fantastic experience! We did the trip to Jajce and it was fabulous! The tour guide is very friendly and professional, with detailed guidance at each sightseeing. We did tours with MeetBosnia as well but it was a horrible experience so we switched to Funky Tours. Highly recommend Funky Tours!

Wow! What a phenomenal time we had during the Mostar tour. Even though there was a little hiccup in regards to meeting time, we managed to enjoy the rest of the day with beautiful sights. Almir, our tour guide was fantastic! He knew the perfect spots, was extremely knowledgeable, and not to mention hilarious. Truly made our experience one we will never forget. Thanks Almir! He deserves a raise;) One improvement comment: I’d recommend stopping for lunch at BLAGAJ by Dervish house as those views were beautiful, compared to Restaurant ADA. Otherwise, extremely well planned out. We learned so much! Thanks again Almir!

I can’t recommend these guys enough! We did the full-day Srebrenica tour and free walking tour and absolutely LOVED them. It’s an absolute must if you’re in Bosnia/Sarajevo to understand the history of this place. The Srebrenica tour was an unforgettable and touching experience - and we got to have lunch with a local family in their home. So by booking this tour, you are also supporting a local family. Funky Tours have many other tours you can choose from - you can trust they will have guides who are knowledgeable and engaging (Adnan from Srebrenica and Ajla from walking tour!! Thank you guys)!🤍

We had such a sweet morning with Emir! My friend and I really wanted to see some Jewish sites and he took us around, even introduced us to members of the Jewish community. He was funny, knowledgeable, serious when he needed to be, and gave us recommendations for the rest of the trip. Really top notch. (And a very reasonable price)

Really well done, we enjoyed the siege tour a lot. Our tour guide put a lot of effort in it and told us a lot about his personal experience, all in all a very sympathetic guy who experienced much here.

What an amazing experience!! My group of 8 had a private tour from Sarajevo to Dubrovnik via Mostar. Salim was an incredible guide!! So much to do, see and learn. One of the highlights of my vacation.

Thanks so much to the Funky Tours team for the great tour. It seems weird to say that we thoroughly enjoyed our Siege Tour, but we (including my two kids, 14 and 12) really did. Salem was a great host, and he gave us interesting insights into his experience and the experience of his country. I wish we had had more time for more tours. Highly recommend Funky Tours

In August my wife and I went on a tailor-made journey across all the countries of Western Balkans. The tour was organized by Ema Konakovic of Funky Tours. Ema proved to be a brilliant planner. She organized the tour carefully in order to cover every important sight in seven countries. It was so well planned and executed that things went like clockwork. The journey was an incredibly rewarding and thoroughly enjoyable experience. Even the smallest detail on the trip was attended to. Aside from superb hotels (much superior to what I expected), a very comfortable and spacious private air-conditioned vehicle, and excellent guide and drivers, there were walking tours with local guides in every city we visited. Our main guide Stefan who stayed with us for the entire journey was not only knowledgeable of the countries we traveled, he was exceptionally polite and courteous and narrated numerous anecdotes and humorous stories about the people and culture of the lands we covered. He was greatly entertaining. Mark and Senad were not only excellent drivers (they drove us from Ljubljana to Tirana through seven countries), they were also exceptionally polite, courteous and helpful. From the moment we met Stefan, Mark and Senad in Slovenia to when we were finally dropped off at the airport in Albania, they treated us like royalty, going way beyond what they were expected to do. Even the walking tour guides were exceptional. In particular, I remember Andrea in Trogir. Five stars to Stefan, Mark, Senad, Andrea and all the rest, but above all to Ema who stood behind and made everything happen. Will remember them and the journey for a very long time.

My partner and I had done a tour with Sarajevo Funky Tours before and were so impressed by the tour and Sarajevo decided we must come back. This time we did the Srebrenica Genocide Memorial tour. This is without doubt one of the most interesting (and saddest) travelling experiences we had. Our tour guide was amazing. We had the honour of meeting some local people in Srebrenica who gave a very moving first hand account of some of their experiences. My partner and I felt it was very important to have this experience and share it with others. I can't recommend this tour enough. Both the tour company and our guide did a superb job. Now back home, I tell everyone I know - go to Bosnia, learn the history, meet the people and have the same wonderful experience we had. Sarajevo is a truly wonderful city to visit, friendly people, great food, wine, coffee surrounded by rich history (already thinking of our next trip back).

Sailed around the Kornati Islands with the amazing crew from Funky Tours and had a blast. We stayed in the Sali Marine and visited some nice restaurants and bars along the route. Our skiper was very skillful and knowledgable about the area and its historical meaning. We also did a small hiking tour in the Nature park Telašćica a saw the wonderful Cliffs of Dugi otok. Would very much recommend. Very professionally organized and worth visiting.

I had two extraordinary tours with Funky Tours (Sarajevo Siege & Sarajevo-Dubrovnik Transfer). The guides did a fantastic job of explaining the complex history of the area and making sure my needs were met. It’s been 10 years since I’ve had such a thoughtful and compelling experience. Make sure you book with them! I’ll certainly be back.

I cannot speak highly enough of my experience with Funky Tours. I had the pleasure of taking two tours with the company. Both Filip and Mustafa were were excellent highly knowledgeable, enthusiastic and engaged guides. The tours themselves are incredible value for the quality of the experience. If you are a lucky enough to find yourself in the beautiful city of Sarajevo, I encourage you to use the services of Funky Tours.

What an amazing tour agency! Nadira and Alam were truly wonderful and passionate Bosnian youngsters whose live and admiration for their country was palpable! I did the Free walking tour of Sarajevo with Alam and it was a wonderful and extremely knowledgeable experience!

Amazing tour company. We initially booked the East-Bosnia and West-Serbia tour. Unfortunately there weren't enough people to do the tour, so they offered a few other tours as a replacement. We went with the Mostar & 4 cities tour instead. This was a good choice, we were with just 3 people (the two of us included) and 1 tour guide. So practically a private tour. The tour guide was the best, had a lot of interesting stories and told a lot of facts. Worth every penny! Definitely recommend Funky Tours.

Tour to Srebrenica with lunch at local family Today I went to the tour to Srebrenica. We went with Almir. The tour wouldn't be the same without Almir. He had al lot of humor and he tells a lot about history. He is very passionated and charismatic. The whole story and visit was very impressive. We visit Potocari and saw a movie and learnt a lot of things After that we went to Lejla and her family. She is a very strong and brave woman. And she prepared a great lunch for us. I would highly recommand this tour.

We did the Sarajevo Siege Tour and had a very interesting and insightful day. Thank you so much to Mustafa for sharing his stories. The tour was really worthwhile and gives you so much more context to understand the war. Would highly recommend!

We did the 'Tito's' bunker tour, which also covered the Olympic sites and sites associated with the siege of the 90s, so really covering decades of Yugoslav history. The guide was really informative and I learned a lot - even though I thought I was reasonably familiar with the history. It also allowed us to see a lot of things within a single day, allowing us to spend the next day at a more leisurely pace

We took three tours with Funky Tours, and loved each one: a Sarajevo Siege tour with Almir, and a Srebrenica Genocide tour and Mostar tour, both with Adnan. They were all excellent (though the first two were depressing in many ways), with excellent guides, and we'd recommend them all highly.

Funky Tours went above and beyond to create a terrific experience for us. Our guide, Emir, was incredibly knowledgeable and super-accommodating to our group's mobility issues. All of the accommodations were great, especially Hotel Colors Inn in Sarajevo. When our return flight home was canceled, Ema at FT even helped us secure a hotel room and set up the cab to get us back into town. Highly, highly recommend!

Almir was my tour guide and what a hell of a tour he gave me!! I did the Sarajevo war tour and it felt like a semesters worth of history condensed into 5 hours of information. He not only shared his countries rich and complicated history but his own personal experiences during the war. He was such a sweetheart and I recommend this tour as an essential part of anyone's visit to Bosnia.
