Interesting collection of art on three floors. The ground floor has some sculptures but the information leaflet I was not available in English to provide some explaination of the sculptures. On the 2nd floor is a good collection of art produced entirely by Bosnian artists. On the 3rd floor, artistic themes are explores through three sections: Garden, Landscape and House interiors. Cost of Entry is 5KM.There is no elevator.

Great, welcoming. Excellent contemporary art exhibition had just opened. It was the best one I have found in the entire region. Upper most floor was the permanent collection. Free lockers to hold your stuff. It is currently undergoing renovations and entry door wasn’t so easy to find on the day I arrived. One construction worker growled at me for wearing a mask.

A must-visit when in Sarajevo. It is a mid-sized and intimate gallery but with an extensive collection of Bosnian artists. Do not miss!

The gallery is nice but average. You can see permanent exhibitions of the local paintings. When we visit there were two topics. Intimacies of rooms and a local painter's work. They are about to have a grand opening of another painter that day. Some of the paintings were really exciting.

Yes it’s a humble gallery with a small collection, but it’s super interesting in its unique way - it’s not in every gallery you get to see the history of its museology and the development of art scene in this nation. I really appreciate the curation effort, and some paintings are amazing.

(Translated by Google) Perfect place to acquire new knowledge ... to enjoy the arts with excellent recommendations and explanations from the historical as well as the biographical part of the friendly and hostess curator Aide Sarac. If you are in Sarajevo, be sure to visit. Very nice exhibition of different local artists. The curator was very nice and genuinely happy to see us and guide us (although he spoke French to us). It’s definitely worth visiting and supporting. One ticket was 5 KM.

Thoroughly enjoyed my visit. Starting with a very warm welcome from the gentleman working at the front desk to the beautiful collection of work by local artists. Absolutely stunning Jurkić exhibition! Definitely worth visiting.

You should allocate at least 30 minutes to see all three exhibitions. Nice collection of artworks by local and foreign artists. However by far my favorite exhibit was the museum cat. Make sure to see and pet it as well.

The collections were nice, but they were presented in a poor way. No air conditioning in the buidling in the middle of July. So hot and stuffy inside. I felt sorry for the art pieces. Shouldn't they preserve the art in a proper temparature and humidity?

This was a highlight of my time in Sarajevo. Captivating works in both the permanent and travelling exhibits. Take a hour in your day to stroll among these beautiful pieces. Also say hello to the resident cat, who is perhaps the best part.

This is a very nice gallery hidden from the streets of Sarajevo. The exhibitions spanned across three floors, the first floor exhibiting temporary exhibitions and the other two permanent. The artwork exhibits motifs located in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the surrounding areas. It is hidden from the street, so you need to open two doors into the building in order to find the gallery. A ticket is 5 KM. There is also a nice museum cat!

It was great. The artwork is really amazing and there were two more installation additional to the regular one. They also have a kitty that they took in that will greet you and try to get in your lap on the first floor. Will be visiting again.

The current exhibitions are great and the permanent collection is also very good. The staff is friendly and welcoming. If you like painting don't hesitate.

Small collection, but worth a visit. Easily can spend 30-40 minutes to get an idea of Bosnian art and its history. Access to some parts of the permanent exhibition was limited (could see the paintings but from afar). The space is nice, and the building itself is very beautiful

This day we tried visiting several art galleries in Sarajevo but unfortunately a lot of them were closed or shut down. When we finally arrived at The Art Gallery of B&H we were really happy to visit two exhibitions there: the permanent one "intimacies of space" and the temporary one with Milton Glaser. Both were well curated and really interesting! The staff was very welcoming and helpful and we had a really nice talk in the end of our visit. Opening hours are great (Monday-Sunday, 10 am - 8 pm) and the price of 5 KM (2,50€) is totally fine! We hope that in the future many more people will appreciate the effort of the people working there. Since Sarajevo has a lot of great art to offer it is tragic to see that it doesn't get the necessary support. Love from Germany

My review addresses only the permanent exhibition on the second floor, which was the only section open to the public the day I came. I was quite disappointed. Sure, there are some beautiful paintings on display, but the whole idea of a national art gallery is to convey a narrative or at least a sense of what Bosnian art is (what’s particular about it, how it has interacted with international tendencies, who the major artists are, what the evolution is over time...). None of this is articulated at any point in any way, and all you’ll find are 4 panels explaining the 4 major topics around which the exhibit is structured and small placards next to each painting with some very basic information. Overall, quite disappointing, but then the 5 mark admission fee won’t cause major harm to your budget, so you may just as well drop by.

One of the worst NATIONAL GALLERY I've visited worldwide. Not worth 5 KM but it offers a taste of Bosnian Arts. Was dissapointed to be here.
