This is a really lovely family-run hotel- as first time visitors to Bosnia , we did not know what to expect but the staff and own of Kandji introduced us to the sincere hospitality of this culture. They were so kind to our family and did everything they could to make our stay comfortable in the heat wave. The breakfast offers many choices and is served with real care. This is not a fancy place but it is a truly comfortable place with a lovely communal garden. The staff help create an environment where travellers connect and relax. We can’t wait to return!

The hotel felt like home. Room was nice and clean. They had amazing breakfasts and a lot of advantages for guests, but the best thing about this hotel was young man working as receptionist. I personally had feeling like he was our friend. He was helpful at any hour we needed. Thank you

Best place to stay in Sarajevo. Very friendly and helpful personnel. 3 minutes walking to Bascarsiya. Private parking. Haris,Eldin,Azer and last but not the least dear Rafa made us feel we were staying at family. Thank you so much. Each time when I sat outside they would offer me Bosnian coffee. Haris helped us to carry all our luggage to our car. Rafa makes the most delicious omelette in all Bosnia. She spent minutes to search a Bosnian song called Ayşe because my daughter has the same name. We will absolutely come back. Rooms are very authentic decorated and you have everything you need. Perfect location, kind and helpful staff, 24 hour Reception, nothing was too much trouble, delicious breakfast. Room quite small for two people plus suitcases but hey, who spends time in the room when one is a tourist! Highly recommended!

Very friendly and good service. It is a great base to explore Sarajevo since it is close to the old city.

A friendly staff waited us at the train station and drive us to the pension for free. Room is huge and the very clean. The Bosnian are extremely friendly and nice, food are unbelievably good and the price is reasonable. Breakfast and wireless is included in price, but the room price is slightly higher than the Bosnia standard.

Guest House Kandilj is located in a perfect neighbourhood. Perfect because it is quiet and close to old part of Sarajevo center (Baščaršija). Staff is really amazing and helpfull with their usefull advises. Room is basic, very clean and cousy. Breakfast is the most spectacular adventure where Mrs. Rafa prepares egg omelettes like you want. She prepares nice muffins and rice pudding. And there is a nice secured parking place. Absoloutely nice place to stay.
