The hotel was apparently taken over by new team in June 2021 so I guess older comments and reviews are not applicable any more. They renovated the rooms and invested in personnel. My own personal experience at the end of September 2021 could really hardly be better. I stayed 4 nights and had to take care of 10 other guests who attended the academic event I coordinated. But this was not at all a problem with such hosts – there were not a single problem they couldn't solve, and it was always with the smile – be it early in the morning or late at night. You cannot beat the location – at one side you drive to the hotel, at the other you are at Bascarsija old district. And the hosts show just perfect combination of German efficiency and Bosnian charm and unbitable hospitality. I really don't think you can find better hotel in their price range in central Sarajevo.

Pros: + Location + Friendly staff. Reception works 24/7 + Large king suite with 2 rooms + Modern design + Cleanliness + We received a very nice compliment related to our wedding anniversary Cons: - Breakfast. We stayed for 2 nights. On Saturday the breakfast was good (not a very wide selection of food, but everything was fresh and tasty). On Sunday at 7:20 still not all the food was served (the breakfast starts at 7:00). The restaurant was overcrowded because of people waiting for food. The tomatoes were at least not fresh (of not spoiled). - The bathroom is really outdated. The shower cabin was especially disappointing because of its size and leaking. - We came on Friday at around 11 PM. There was only cold water in the bathroom. The next day there weren’t any problem with water.

Definitely bad experience with this hotel, it is not worth staying in, rooms without AC and it’s very hot you can’t even sleep, and the security level is not very strong, as at night there are a lot of drunk people walking in the hotel.

As many times before, I stayed at Astra Garni hotel this week. Rooms were clean, bathroom also, and everything in it in the working order. But what this hotel makes extraordinary are the people who work there. If you need something, you will get, no mater what it is. I appreciate that and wish to thank to everyone there, specifically to Mrs. Karac Sanela and Mrs.Jahura Ivanka. I will recommend this hotel to all fellow travelers if they want to stay in the clean and efficient environment, extraordinary staff and respect. I can't wait to come back!

I had a very bad experience staying at the Sahat hotel, the room itself was not hygienically acceptable, starting with the bathroom, bedding and carpet. The breakfast that was included in the price of the stay, not that I am devastated, but I advise you not to take the more expensive option with breakfast because it will only waste your money, specifically I ate two puddings and an hour of juice from the entire breakfast. In addition, the location, even though it is in the center, I can't say that it is good because the hotel is located on one side of a very busy road, and because of this, if you are a light sleeper, you will not be able to sleep normally. The heating is only available until 9:00 p.m., and it only starts working at 9:00 a.m., so that is a big complaint, and for that reason I do not recommend staying in the hotel in winter. That's my experience, I think there are much better hotels that may be a little more expensive, but believe me, every price is for a reason.

I'm very satisfied, nice clean rooms. Friendly employees at the reception, if a problem is solved immediately e.g. if you don't like the room you can get another room straight away in the possible sense if there are empty rooms. Price, performance hammer, I can recommend it with a clear conscience 😍😍😍

An absolute disappointment. The room is in terrible condition and you don't get anything for your money here! No room service, no air conditioning, sockets don't work and the radiator. The bed and bathroom are in terrible condition, mold and outdated furniture. I just don't understand how a hotel like this can even have 4 stars? This is an unworthy hotel for Sarajevo!

This hotel is located in the middle of Sarajevo's old town. You can park at the Hotel Europa - a few meters further. It is clean and very quiet despite the central location. We'd love to come back! Absolute recommendation. Top

Just a hotel in a good location and nothing more. It's not a good experience starting with the heating being turned off during the night and a very bad breakfast that if it wasn't for the pudding we probably wouldn't have had anything to eat. There is no parking, which is not specified, so if you can, it is better to avoid it.

Located right at the heart of Sarajevo Old Town. Town square, restaurants, museums and souvenirs are within walking distance. Plenty of mosque nearby. Plenty of money changers and grocery. Found only 1 laundry shop. Room is small and tight. No kettle or drinks provided. Parking is difficult.

The hotel is in a great location and has good facilities. But it is the service that makes it top notch. They are responsive, attentive and helpful -- all the way from the front desk to the breakfast. Highly recommended.

The Sahat delivers attractively renovated accommodation and welcoming, professional staff, but some key aspects of a hotel stay were subpar: the breakfast and the shower. For sightseeing, the location is simply ideal. It is easy to stroll to all the highlights of the old town from here. The streets were lively and felt safe until well into the night. If you have a car, the public car park under Hotel Europa is reasonably priced and only 2 minutes away. The rooms contain a lot of comforts for a reasonably priced city hotel: large bed, fridge, safe, good work desk, bidet, quality toiletries, fast wifi and effective air conditioning. The refreshed design feels instantly welcoming. The only weak point was the shower: there was no hot water. The bathrooms have not been renovated yet and are certainly ready for some maintenance. The reception team was very professional, responsive and well organized - at every step from booking via e-mail to checking out. They spoke excellent English and made an effort to build rapport every time. Although my stay was spread across multiple sequential reservations, they had anticipated that and ensured I could stay in the same room despite the hotel being fully booked. Breakfast was not on the same high standard as the rest of the hotel. It is a limited selection of lower-quality continental breakfast foods served in a dingy basement room. The coffee was weak. The gym is spacious but sparsely equipped. There are two benches, about 4 weights and a handful of aging cardio machines in a gloomily lit basement. A row of saunas in their own private rooms with a shower and changing space adjoin the gym.

Hotel Sahat is great! It was my first time in Bosnia-Herzegovina and the front desk ladies were super accommodating. You’re in the heart of the city, breakfast is great, the gym is good, and the service is remarkable. The staff makes the experience very nice and easy.

I chose Hotel Sahat primarily for its location and wasn’t disappointed. Situated right in the heart of the old town of Sarajevo, it's surrounded by an array of bars, restaurants, and all the key attractions. During my three-night stay, I never needed to use public transport as everything was conveniently within walking distance. The hotel is easily accessible from the airport, and although I opted for an overpriced taxi, there are other transportation options worth considering. The check-in process was swift, and I must commend the hotel staff, particularly Fatima at the reception. They were always cheerful and readily available to assist with any questions regarding sightseeing, transportation, or any other inquiries. As for the room, I opted for the King Suite, which featured both a bedroom and a separate living area. Both spaces were impressively spacious. However, the bedroom had only a small portable air conditioning unit. While it worked surprisingly well and kept the bedroom cool, the living room tended to get warm and stuffy due to the lack of air conditioning or a fan. The beds were comfortable, but the bathroom was somewhat compact, and the shower area could benefit from better lighting. Nevertheless, the water was reliably hot, and the water pressure was excellent. The room also came equipped with a minibar, a safe, a kettle, a television, a work desk, and a couch. Unfortunately, the absence of air conditioning in the living room made it impractical to get any work done. The room had ample power outlets, with a few conveniently located near the bed. Just remember to bring a travel adapter if needed. The Wi-Fi was decent, providing sufficient speed for regular internet use. Breakfast was served daily from 7 to 10 AM and offered a satisfying spread, including eggs, sausages, croissants, cereal, juices, tea, and coffee. While the hotel did show some signs of wear and tear, and certain areas of the room could use a bit of maintenance, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. The exceptional location and the attentive staff who went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant trip made it a worthwhile choice.

Warm Bosnian hospitality We had an enjoyable stay at this hotel, just on the edge of the Old Town, near the Latin Bridge and right next to the 14th century Bascarsija (market area). Parking is easy if you reserve a parking spot. The parking is right in front of the hotel but it’s tandem style, so you have to leave your car keys with reception. Our deluxe king suite had a comfortable king bed, lounge area and good bathroom. All the reception staff were super friendly and helpful, and we thought that the breakfast was excellent!! There were no tea/coffee making facilities in our room, the bathroom was a little dated (particularly the small shower cubicle) and the WiFi was very slow and spotty but other than that it was a perfect stay!

The impressions are phenomenal. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only minus is that the Wi-Fi signal in the rooms is weak. Either way, I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent place with exceptional staff, right at the heart of Sarajevo. The staff & the Manager everyone is very helpful. We had to bother them for key multiple times day for almost a week due to sharing of the rooms, but not a single moment we had any issue getting help. The whole new young crew - the receptionists, the waiters & the Manager have made our stay best beyond expectations.

The value for money and location are fantastic. That's why you should choose this hotel. The wifi is very bad. Almost unusable. The gym and breakfast were also not great. The saunas weren't working.

In fact that we had reserved a room at different place but they forwarded us to this hotel because of having no place. It's location was perfect. It is very close to old Town, Başçarşı. The room was acceptable width and the breakfast was so so. But the wireless was very bad. It was online just at lobby. We could not connected when we were at room.

Very nice and cosy hotel near Baš Čaršija. Extremly friendly and helpful staff. Very good breakfast. Rooms are big enough and it is really clean. Parking is a bit tricky. Reserve your place well in advance (just cca 5 places) an leave your keys in reception, because they have to move it sometimes. It costs 10€ per day. You can find parking garage just a few minutes up the river if it feels more convenient.

Clean and big, comfortable rooms, nice service and staff. Beds are comfortable. Wifi was really strong, card is accepted. The variety of breakfast was not bit, but enough. Good value for price.

Broken shower head, lots of noise from outside (even with closed windows), beds are rock hard and breakfast was... not good. Location and size of the room are the only thing saving it from 1 star.

I give 5 of 5 just because the employees, they was more than perfect , but the room wasn’t ok. The shower was broken, and the AC doesn’t work good.

Personally, I had a very bad experience with hygiene, the breakfast was very poor and the hygiene at least in that room was not at an enviable level, the heating stops working after midnight. The hotel is only in a good location. There are 3 parking spaces in front of the hotel, not as indicated.
