Igor is just the Bosnian host you need in your life. Rakija is the mouthwater that keeps things smooth and sound. Showers are amazing, beds sleep very well and the hospitality is just out of this world! I would recommend to stay here!

Incredible hostel. It's an experience. Igor is super friendly and fun and will help you out with whatever you need in Sarajevo. Super social hostel which something I enjoy. You can write your stuff in the wall and leave a mark forever :)

Had a great stay at this hostel. Right in the middle of the city with a great view of the streets below. Best part of the experience was hanging out and talking with the owner, Igor. What a friendly, kind, and interesting person. I stayed during the slow season and was the only one at the hostel. Still, I had a great time. Igor and I chatted a bunch and drank rakia. He then invited me out for drinks with his family at one of the local bars; I felt like family. Thank you Igor.

I stayed here because a friend stayed and said this is the best hostel in Sarajevo. He was right. Here's are my reasons: 1- Quality rest & sleep in a nicely heated (winter) room with privacy curtains, individual light & power outlet, and very comfortable bedding (Igor gladly gave me an extra blanket as I always still get cold... some hostels here want to charge for it). 2- Truly home like cozy, clean and eclectic living room where I made friends and had amazing conversations. It's creates an atmosphere in which it's easy to talk to people, play board games, have group conversations etc... just what a hostel should feel like - home. 3- Very nice, super clean and heated bathrooms and toilets with ample warm water (and free towels). 4- Not a wild party or druggie hostel, but a very social and friendly hostel. 5- It feels amazing to sit in the glass covered heated balcony looking out into the old town's main street - to work on a laptop, soak in light, people watch or sip free coffee/tea. No need to spend money in coffee shops. 6- Last but not least... Igor the owner & manager of this place is a special guy. It feels like this hostel is his life and soul, and his joy are his guests. He goes out of his way to make everyone comfortable, makes sure their needs are met and best of all are the witty and enlightening conversations I had with him. He is the life of the party. Igor... you're the best! Igor even helped me find cheaper longer-term accommodation options - at the determent of his own business profits. Like most Bosnians - a really honest well-intentioned guy! Note: Igor did tell me on the phone when I called to book that he doesn't have a full kitchen. There's a fridge, tea kettle, cups, plates, silverware etc. I think I've convinced him to get a Microwave - Igor... ;-)

Igor was really welcoming, generous and interesting to share back and forth with. They've just done a full renovation and everything is new and clean. The space is inviting and cozy and the guests were all chill and interactive. Curtains, lockers, plug sockets, and lights for each bed. 16 Bed small hostel, good vibe.

I have been in too many hostels in Europe and Asia, literally the number is over 50. I can say that the owner, Igor, can be the coolest owner i have ever met and the hostel can be the top three. The place is too warm both metaphorically and literally. Thanks to the structure of the common area, you got no other choice but to socialize with other people. Beds are very comfortable and every bed has their own light and curtain. The place is so close to Ferhadija Pedestrian Street and the famous pubs. I am sure that i will come back and i will stay here again.

Had a great time in Sarajevo in the Good Place hostel. I already miss the beautiful views over Sarajevo’s Main Street from the beautiful common room together with the new friends I made in the hostel. The hostel is very clean too. Igor definitely makes you feel at home in the city, and I felt very welcomed by Igor every day when I arrived “home” and we would have a rakija with all. He helped me a lot and gave very good tips and recommendations. I found it very lovely to find out that the hostel owner was born in the house that is now the hostel; it felt like a home and you can be sure to have good conversations with Igor about the country and more in general. Would definitely recommend!

This place is just amazing. It's clean, perfectly located and super comfortable and spacious beds. Everything looks very new, so there is nothing you will miss. But the best part is the hospitality of Igor, the hostel owner. He's always around to help, pour you some Rakija and have a good and honest conversation. Also, Igor really managed to create this atmosphere where you get to meet your fellow travellers and end up talking with them all night. We stayed here for a full week but were still sad when we had to leave; it really was a special experience we won't forget. I have stayed in quite some hostels already and this one was probably the best. So if you're not sure where to go in Sarajevo, just come here - I promise you won't regret it. Thank you for everything Igor! We'll surely miss Sarajevo and you, and come back soon (whether you want to not) :)

The Best Hostel in Sarajevo. Booked for a night and ended up staying for 4 nights. Everyone book for long nights, bcos it get full soon. igor the owner is amazing guy you ever met and make sure you read the wall poster when you stay there

This hostel is one of the best I encountered. Clean, Enough space to chill and in the centre. But the real gem is the owner Igor. He is a very warm person and you will feel welcome the moment you meet him. Hvala Igor. I enjoyed my time and hopefully I will be back soon in Sarajevo!

Probably the most social hostel I have been to. The small space forces everybody to get to know each other, which is what you look for in a hostel. This has been one of the greatest hostel experiences (I visited close to 50 hostels) • Homely experience overall, feels like you are living with siblings/roomates • Igor, the host is super friendly and goes out of his way to make you feel at home. Huge respect for you, Igor! • Proper comfortable beds and lockers. Beds have curtains, lighting and sockets. • Take a free walking tour with Enes from Spirit Tours, you won't regret it! Things to keep in mind: • Tiny. It's a three bedroom apartment converted into a hostel with 16 beds. Two shared toilets and two shared showers. Could be tricky if you have a large suitcase or lots of belongings. Living room can hold up to 8 people so it can be very crowded • Loud. Since it is social, people drink, laugh and talk in the living room until very late night and you can hear all of it through the walls • No kitchen. Coffee and tea provided, everything else you have to go out for. Ask about particular cheap places in order not to overpay 2x

Perfect location in the heart of Sarajevo. Great common area, comfy beds, nice clean showers, and plenty of rakija ;) But it’s Igor that turns what’s already a great hostel into one of the best I’ve ever stayed in! Fantastic host who will make you feel at home right away, he fosters a perfect social atmosphere in the hostel. Stay at The Good Place, it really is great.

Amazing place and awesome experiences! I stayed at The Good Place Hostel for a month. Every second was so good…. Perfect location in the main street, always clean, beds are confortable… And the place that made me love rakija!!! Igor always made me feel at home. Thanks for everything! And many thanks to Igor's friend Denis for his always smiling and pleasant conversation. Remember me when you eat dolma. We’ll see each other again.

From my personal perspective of being a permanent traveller this is without doubt one of the best experiences that I had in a (very comfortable!) Hostel. The room is spacious, warm and silent, the bed is comfortable for a wonderful rest, the shower is big and enjoyable, the covered terrace is a perfect parlour at any moment.... But the real deal is Igor, the authentic superhost with his very nice and easygoing treatment since the first moment!... He is very sympathetic (good empathy;) with a very nice conversation also with good tips and advices about Sarajevo... And he shared one of the bests rakia that I had never... THANK YOU for everything IGOR!

Awesome stay at The Good Place. Location is right on the main walking street in town (which could be a noise hazard, but isn't because of the interior design of the place). Drinking coffee or sipping rakija and watching the world go by from the second floor is one of the hidden gems of this hostel. The other gem is drinking (coffee tea or rakija) with Igor, the owner who has a gift for hospitality. The hostel is clean with comfortable beds. There is no kitchen, so if you need that, go to Hostel Kucha instead.

Igor, my man, a great host and always available. Great beds and curtains. A view of the very center of Sarajevo. The price is very reasonable. And if you are waiting for a visa, don't worry, you will get it, this is a lucky place. Don't think too much, just come and drink some Rakijaa

My best hostel experience so far ! Igor is a wonderful host who will welcome you with some traditional rakia ! You feel directly at home there and you can meet so many different people ! What a hostel! This is such a cosy place to stay, it really feels like a home away from home. Beds have sockets, privacy curtain and reading light. Large lockers with locks for luggage. Central location and overlooking one of the main streets (great for people watching). No cooking facilities but not sure why you'd need them with so many well-priced places to eat nearby. And how could I not mention lgor: great chat, really friendly, good reccommendations, makes the hostel a good place to stay!!!

Great place with the most perfect location. Rooms are spacious, beds are super comfy, showers are amazing. Quick note: there is no kitchen. But a lot of nice bureks all over the old town ;) Igor was very accommodating and we didn't start any of the check in process before we drank a cup of coffee :))) See you next time when I'm around 👋 (I drank from the fountain so I have to)

What a place. Couldn't recommend the plush beds or the fun, caring host, Igor, any more. The good place is what has made Sarajevo one of my favorite cities.

The location is great, but the hostel owner is better. Really comfortable atmosphere, Igor will make you feel very at home, give the best recommendations, and will ensure you have a good time. Was one of the better hostels I’ve been too for sure.

Nothing to add except that is perfect! Located in the very center of Sarajevo the hostel is easily accessible. Rooms and beds are also super comfy. The owner Igor will help you with every question about the history or the city

The Good Place hostel is a gem in Sarajevo! Upon entrance, you'll be greeted by Igor, the hostel owner, who is one of the most open and friendly people you'll ever meet! The hostel is clean, the beds are comfortable, and the facilities are perfect! It's a small intimate hostel, loaded with great conversations, drinks and memorable nights!

After 4 months of traveling in Europe, I finally found a hostel that has it all. Super social hostel (which has been hard to find during the pandemic, sadly). I made so many friends and we went on tours together, out to dinner, for sunset walks, and hung out in the common room every night sipping Rakia. Average age is mid-20s to 30s I think (this is a plus for me). The beds and pillows are super comfy and set up well with curtains, reading lights, and sockets by the bed. The bathroom and shower are great too. And Igor is the best, making everyone feel like family as soon as they walk in (Go get some rest, Igor!). Hope to return one day soon!

Cosy common room, excellent location and extremely comfortable beds made for a wonderful stay. Of course Igor and his expansive CD collection and Rakija made it even more special than other hostels. Will stay here again if I make it back to Sarajevo.

I stayed in this place a night last minute call, Igor the owner was so friendly and helpful he told me where to book and what to see in this beautiful city. This place is fun to be, so I came back again. It has a great location that is unbeatable in this city! Clean bed and comfortable. And guess what you will have a free shot of Rakjia but sip it slowly! Cheers Igor and thank you for a great hospitality. I will come back again soon!

Conveniently located, beds very comfortable. Great hospitality and nice crowd. It was cold and Igor he did a beer run for me too. Great tips on things to eat and do. Igor is very welcoming and funny.

The hostel really is nothing extraordinary. Not fancy, Not especially beautiful. But Igor is so nice and welcoming, always has an open ear for you and will give tips for Sarajevo. Also, very clean place. Would recommend!

The Good Place is Not a Hostel, I would call it more “a life experience” Since you first set foot on Igor’s planet you will immediatly feel at home 24h surrounded by creative and amazing people in the hearth of Sarajevo makes it hard to feel lost. I can’t wait to visit him again, I am glad I spent my holiday days in the most friendly place you could find in Bosnia. Thank you for the laughs, the good mattress and the Rakija! <3
