Skenderija pedestrian iron bridge is also known as the Eiffel Bridge among Sarajians. It is one of the bridges over the river Miljacka in Sarajevo. It is located near Skenderija (part of Sarajevo). The original bridge was built in the 15th century by order of Skender Pasha, to connect the buildings of his endowment on the banks of the Miljacka. The Miljacka River often washed away Sarajevo's wooden bridges, so it was with the original wooden bridge as well. In 1893, the Austro-Hungarian administration built a bridge with an iron fence upstream from the original one. It's said that bridge is designed by Gustave Eiffel, the builder of the famous Eiffel Tower in Paris, but there is no document that confirms this. You won't find any additional information about the history on the bridge itself, which is a shame. And the maintenance of the bridge could also be worked on.

The Skenderija Steel Bridge is a pedestrian bridge that is known to Sarajevans as Eiffel's Bridge. Somewhere near the bridge's current location the Ottoman governor, Skender Pasha, had a wooden bridge erected at the end of the 15th or beginning of the 16th century. One whole neighborhood on the left bank of the Miljacka bears his name – Skenderija. The unpredictable Miljacka would often wash Sarajevo's wooden bridges away, which is exactly what happened to this bridge. It was for this very reason that the Austro-Hungarian administration took action to regulate the river's flow and rebuild many new bridges, including the steel Skenderija Bridge (1893). While there is nothing to back it up and there isn't a single written document to confirm the claim, there is a legend that says this bridge was designed by the famous Alexandre Gustave Eiffel, the architect responsible for the iconic Eiffel Tower in Paris. The bridge was badly damaged during the last war and underwent reconstruction in 2004.

Urban legend has it the bridge designer also designed famous tower in Paris.Today bridge weigh more because of hundrids of the " Love Padlocks " hanging on the fence.

It's a bridge. Why would anyone want to give it stars? There are events here sometimes, in the summer, but they are only hindered by the bridge, not because of it.
