If I could give more stars I would. Johnathan our server was knowledgeable and very nice. The food was remarkable. Definitely fresh and homemade. Our table had the meatloaf dinner, fried chicken dinner and the country fried steak dinner. All were fantastic and the side accompaniments, mashed potatoes, fries and hot apples were delicious. Desserts were just as good, egg custard pie, strawberry cream pie and key lime. Portions were generous. Definitely will visit again and recommend that you try them out.

Road trip and ended up at Yoder's because that's where my partner wanted to go. She heard that it was a great place to visit. She ordered the fried chicken plate and I had the bacon chicken sandwich. The fried chicken looked great and tasted good. It's not seasoned a lot like southern fried chicken. The chicken was crispy and golden brown. She had a side of corn which was good and a good cornbread muffin. I had a bacon chicken sandwich which was also good. All the toppings were fresh and the bacon crispy. The fries were great. I love good crispy fries and they didn't over salt them. The server was very friendly and the restaurant was nice and clean.

This is my favorite type of breakfast dinner! Low-key with excellent food! The service is great 👍 quick and friendly always with a smile. The coffee is everything you want in dinner coffee, light roast in a good old fashioned mug. I had the eggs benedict. It was sublime 😋 that dish is a subtle dance between light and airy, and rich. They nailed it.

The food and service is the best. Portions are huge and taste amazing. It was the best sloppy Joe I have ever eaten. Pot roast and chicken livers were amazing. They also give you homemade bread with apple butter. You can not leave without trying world famous pies

I've eaten here several times and have never been disappointed. Today I had garlic grilled chicken, green beans, carrot salad, and the best cornbread muffin ever. I was trying to stay on the healthy side, then I blew it with a huge piece of chocolate cake. It was so yummy! I did take half of my meal and cake home to have for later. The pies here are great too. Service is always great.

A friendly place to get a meal. Our server was attentive and professional. Stopped in for breakfast and although not perfect was very good. I ordered the mushroom bacon and cheese omelet with grits and biscuit. Not a fan of sliced cheese on top of omelet. I'd rather have graded cheese inside to mix with the other ingredients. The grits were excellent but swimming in butter. The biscuit was moist goodness. Add a little homemade apple butter for extra deliciousness. Another at table got the bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich. He thoroughly enjoyed it. The hash Browns were tasty to. Not a perfect meal but a nice experience. Would definitely return.

Yoder’s has some quality home-cooking in the heart of Sarasota in a small Amish Village. The service is friendly and attentive as expected. The portions are large and plentiful. Loved the gravy, but the meat was either very bland, or super salty. Still tender though. I’d recommend Yoder’s as a great alternative to the usual Italian/Mediterranean/Mexican/Seafood places that dominate the area.

Expect long lines to be seated when snow birds around. And ALL Parties need to be there, otherwise you will not give you the seat. The food was good. I got their famous fried chicken with coleslaw and mashed potatoes. My friend wasn’t satisfied with the chicken pie unfortunately. They have daily special so make sure you check it. They are popular for their pie but I was craving for cheesecake for the last couple of days and their strawberry cheesecake of course not disappointed! Will surely come back to try their pies. Sweet pies. Service was excellent, they keep checking on us. I guess because they need us to leave faster since they were busy. And the food comes out quickly. When I arrived and queue to get seated, they were even longer line for people to check out / pay but I didn’t need to wait when it was my turn to check out. Be aware of non cash fee. I am so used to pay with credit card but they charge 3% if you don’t pay with cash. Who carry cash these days? Oops! This is Mennonite/Amish restaurant so yes they do pay with cash I guess. And I enjoy the atmosphere of the place so homey setting.

We had breakfast and it was delicious! Good portions for an unbeatable price. Staff was really friendly and they have packed goodies that you can buy and take home. On the right side they have a market with produce and a lot of different products prepared by them, it's a must! And in the left side of the restaurant there's a gift shop, really cute store. Everywhere we found helpful happy people.

My sister recommended we dine here. Was very excited to see chicken livers and okra on the menu. Delicious. Fried perfectly. Surprised to see our orders were such large portions except the chicken fried chicken seen in the photo. It was plenty but I recommend portion size should be similar across the board. Sadly My husband's Fried chicken was under seasoned. A warm stack of complimentary Amish bread slices were brought to our table to share before the meals arrived. Fresh Apple butter is on the table and both were excellent. The most disappointing was the service. We were prepared to wait as most places are short staffed, however once the food was delivered nice and hot, the waitress Never once came back to our table to check on anything, to order dessert, refills on drinks, to go boxes and our check. My husband who has the most patience in the world was the most frustrated. We finally had to flag down the passing hostess who was very sweet to help us. Our first experience here started out great and quickly Became a disappointment. Many positives but dropping your customers like a hot potato is bad for business. We truly felt unwanted. Hopefully this won't happen to anyone else.

This has always been one of my favorite Amish restaurants in town, so when I’m in the area it’s always a must to stop by here. One of my favorites on their menu is their chocolate cake and that’s what we stopped by to get. The regular menu is of course, great home style cooking and options. The added store near here is a must to stop into, lots of cute items and something for everyone!

Yoder's is so good, on our 4 days in Sarasota, Florida we ate there three times. Their portions are generous, but it's not a matter of quantity over quality. The food is some of the tastiest home cooking I've had. The apple butter on the table is a treat, and I strongly recommend living your best life by having a slice of pie BEFORE the main course.

We stopped in for an early dinner and we were very impressed. The service was excellent and we all ordered different entrees and found them all very delicious. We tried their country fried steak, fried chicken, Shepards pie and the grilled shrimp. Our server talked us into ordering strawberry cream pie, butterscotch and blackberry pie. Yum yum. We would definitely come back here again

Great fried chicken and kids love their kids selections as well. Their okra is the best side I’ve had. The service was good as she kept checking our table. But it can get really crowded even on a weekday. Parking may be difficult.

We were sat right away. The restroom is in the server alleyway. Strange and small. The chicken salad was delicious. The country fried steak was great. The pie was amazingly delicious. The crust is crispy and the portion of pie is shareable. Our server did a wonderful job.

Delicious food, I couldn't leave Sarasota without visiting this place. I must say the meat and noodles tasted strong, a touch too salty for me, but the consistency and texture were great. The service is fast and efficient. I will definitely come back again.

Yoder's Amish Restaurant in Sarasota, Florida, is a hidden gem for those seeking delicious comfort food. Their pot roast melt is absolutely delicious, tender, and bursting with flavor. The desserts here are out of this world, and I highly recommend trying the Trio option, which allows you to choose three cream pie minis. It's perfect if you can't decide or want to experience a variety of flavors. On top of that, the service at Yoder's is top-notch, making your dining experience even more enjoyable. With generous portions and excellent service, Yoder's is the perfect place to satisfy your cravings for delicious comfort food in Sarasota.

Today we visited Sarasota from the West Palm area. I had never been to the city, & the 1st thing that struck me on Google maps, when searching for lunch was an Amish restaurant in Florida! Yoder's is delicious! All I could think of was what good taste these people have. I mean, moving to Florida, & being able to cook some of the best food I have eaten anywhere! I have NEVER had grilled chicken so juicy. The cooked apples were so tasty. And there are so many gluten free items. I chose the gluten free Coconut Pie, & I was in awe of the flavor & SIZE! Worth a drive to eat here, even if we did nothing else in Sarasota!

Food was good quality home cooking like grandmas. Everything was fresh and moist. Service was very prompt and polite. There was a line on the take out side and on the dine in side as well. This is not a large place and seating is a little tight. Go for the food if you like good home cooking.

Love Yoders! It is definitely a unique experience. The food is high-quality and definitely homemade. Local Amish eat here so when locals eat somewhere, you always know it’s good! They have some great gift shops and farmers markets in the area. Fun trip to Sarasota!

First time visiting and I'm forever a fan. A friend of mine lives nearby. I live about 2 hours away so he knew just where to take me when I asked what we were doing for breakfast. The biscuit was mouthwatering and buttery. The bacon was delicious and not too salty. Such a simple breakfast but so good. Can't wait to come back for more. Took home 3 different types of pie. . . The produce in the market next door looks excellent and the vast majority is local. Can't wait to get home to try what I got. Also excited for buttermilk, butter, and cheese! Update: My roommates and believe the pies were the most glorious things we've eaten in a long time. The veggies were just as amazing as they looked. The fruit was sweet and juicy and all the dairy was fantastic. Can't wait to come back for more!

The staff as we entered were all very cheery, and unlike 'chain' restaurants, you didn't feel it was anything it genuine. The food was superb, fresh, huge portions, all served by the excellent Tina. The crown jewel was the pie...oh my...the pie. I had the chocolate peanut butter, and just wow. Perfect isn't adequate. I hate cream, and didn't realise it came with a huge portion on it, so I gave it a try anyway, and it's not like any cream I've ever had in my life...despite being thick it was so smooth and light...and yes, we took two slices of pie to go as well. We will be back, we're just kicking ourselves that it took so long to find out about it in the first place.

This is a must stop if you are down here in the area. Get there early otherwise they will most definitely have a line out the door. The food was to die for. I had the roast beef Manhattan. Everything was cooked to perfection. Sometimes the gravy can be a little too salty at some places but not here. They serve homemade bread to the table before the meal and have a bottle of their homemade apple butter at the table. After the meal there is always the gift shop with a lot of nice things and the market with a ton of local fresh produce. Loved it! Will most definitely be back.

Yoder's is a fantastic Amish restaurant in Sarasota. All of their food is made from scratch and delicious. They have whole pies and cakes for sale, with my favorite peanut butter cream pie. It's very popular, so there might be a wait. It's first come, first serve. They do have a take-out window for to go orders. The service is warm and welcoming, and you will be you came.

  • 4/5 Alejandro B. 10 months ago on Google
We came to this restaurant looking for a unique experience of Amish flavors and found it! We ordered the chicken, some Amish version of potato pancakes and a key lime pie. Everything taste good, was reasonably priced and served fast. Also the service was friendly. Unfortunately the place was full so given time constraints we had to order for take out but might come back to dine in.

Delightful, delusions, fantastic, home cooking. The food is all fresh handmade and welcoming. You can eat there or take it away. The portions are large. I had fried chicken mash potatoes and Mac and Cheese. Their Chilli was spicy good. All excellent. The chocolate cake was so great and large you can eat it for days.

This place is awesome! So clean and simple, and the food is very fresh. It's not overly salted like most Southern restaurants. The homemade pies and cakes were phenomenal. I order for dinner the pot roast, mashed potatoes (real, not instant), broccoli casserole, and green beans. Side salad was good too, but the ranch dressing wasn't great gave me a bottled hidden valley ranch vibe. Side note: one of the soap dispensers in the bathroom was filled with D batteries ... and I can't figure out why. Check it out, Georgia!

Stepping into Yoder's was like stepping back in time to a simpler place. Warm wood paneling, gingham tablecloths, and the gentle hum of conversation created a cozy, inviting atmosphere. We knew we were in for a treat, but little did we know, a 25-minute wait awaited us. It was a Tuesday evening, and the place was buzzing! Now, some might be deterred by this, but trust me, the wait was well worth it. Once seated, we were greeted by a delightful waitress whose smile brightened the room further. Her genuine warmth and attentiveness added to the homey charm. And then came the food... Ah, the food! The star of the show, without a doubt, was the fried chicken. Crispy, golden perfection with a juicy, flavorful interior – it melted in your mouth with every bite. This wasn't your average greasy fare; it was clear the chicken was cooked with care and seasoned to perfection. The sides played their supporting roles beautifully. The macaroni and cheese was creamy and cheesy, the sweet corn bursting with summer freshness, and the mashed potatoes like fluffy clouds of comfort. Each bite was a testament to quality ingredients and home-cooked goodness. But save room for dessert, because the pies...oh, the pies! We opted for the sweet cream pie, a slice of heaven filled with rich, custardy goodness and topped with a light, airy whipped cream. Every spoonful was a pure delight, the perfect ending to a remarkable meal. Now, I won't sugarcoat it – the wait wasn't ideal. But if you're looking for a taste of authentic Amish comfort food, served with a smile and in a charming atmosphere, Yoder's is worth the wait. Just be prepared to share the experience with others who are equally drawn to its culinary magic. And hey, the wait might even give you more time to anticipate the deliciousness that awaits! Highlights: Delicious, authentic Amish food Cozy and inviting atmosphere Excellent service To-die-for fried chicken and sweet cream pie Things to Consider: Can get busy, especially during peak hours Be prepared for a potential wait

Incredible food, great service. I had the pleasure of eating here twice this past weekend, once for dinner and the following morning for breakfast and it was an amazing experience. The food that I carried out on Friday evening was just incredible but was quickly outdone the next morning by the incredible breakfast and service we received. I highly recommend Yoder's for either dinner or breakfast, you will not be disappointed.

After a mini get away down south, Yoders was along the route home and was recommended and has been on my list so I decided to give it a try. This little Amish restaurant is known for its pies but this go round, I did not order pie as I was traveling and was super stuffed from the main course but they sure did look good! I ordered the hamburger steak with potato cakes & green beans and it hit the spot! Their gravy is so flavorful! No salt needed! My party ordered the meatloaf which was thick and covered in gravy & the other ordered the fried chicken! They loved the fried chicken and the only thing they would change was the texture of the meatloaf- they said it was very finely ground and compact/dense. Really just a personal preference as I am sure many people love it that way! (Personally, I make mine meaty)

I always love this place. I can't believe I haven't reviewed it prior. The food is always phenomenal. It's hard not to spend a fortune stocking up on all the amazing baked goods they have. The chocolate peanut butter cream pie is my absolute favorite go-to. I also LOVE their chocolate cake. I tried the butterscotch cream pie this last time and that was also a winner. I doubt they have a pie that I wouldn't like. My entree was the pot roast melt and it was phenomenal. I have also had their fried chicken. Delicious. The only thing I am not a huge fan of- but would still totally eat- is their meatloaf. It just has a different flavor than I am used to. Still good. If you're EVER in this vicinity- even just driving through on 75. STOP.THE.CAR. you won't regret it.
