One of the Highest waterfalls in Iran. If you want to visit the waterfall you need to go to the Shahandasht village and then walk along the village to the waterfall. There is a castle behind the waterfall and you need to do a challenging hike for about 45minutes to turn around the castle and see the whole view of castle, mount Damavand and the Haraz valley.

An amazing huge natural waterfall coming out of an ancient castle. it is a perfect place for a daily tour and it is better if you ask a local guide to take you there, without guide it is challenging to find the hidden path to the castle and beyond the castle. If you are a real amateur hiker do not risk to go to the castle.

Shahandasht waterfall is the highest waterfall in Mazandaran. It is one of the popular attractions near Tehran. It has a spectacular collection of waterfalls and has added to the beauty of nature. The way to reach the waterfall is one of the most popular hiking trails in nature, especially for the people of Tehran. Its name appears in the list of national monuments of Iran.

It is one the tallest waterfall in Iran located in Mazandaran Province, Shahandasht in the Haraz road between Tehran and Amol. Best time to visit this waterfall is about April to August. You must park your car in the parking near Shahandasht and walk to it. There is an ancient castle on top of the waterfall which has about 3000 year history and called Malek-Bahman castle. You can go above the waterfall and there is so beautiful plain there.
