Seeing only a sign indicating 'garden view restaurant' I intended just to see the garden. The location actually has more to offer than garden views. You'll be overjoyed to find beach and castle views as well. The clinking of glasses and plates made me hungry! Instead I stayed for a late lunch/early dinner. RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED! I didn't abide, unknowingly. They sat me outdoor in the extended section. Stunned with my view! Exceptional service! Three people waited my table and the others around! I witnessed only courteous politeness and meaningful gratitude. Delightful food! Their eggplant balls are perfect! Lightly crusted, the inside has mozzarella and mashed eggplant. Thank you for this creation! I'm hooked! It's not your regular pasta, guys. My dish was so rich in flavors! The pacchero cozze con pecorino e limone was amazing! Pasta was al dente, which seemed interesting that it was placed over the nice layer of cheesy lemony mussels!

A small cute lido in the amazing Bay of Cartaromana. We stayed there twice and benefit from the discount given to the Hotel Don Felipe customers (in September 12€ p.p. instead of 15€) You can enjoy dips to the sea (there's a little beach for easy access or 2 ladders perched on cement platform) and the small bites and/or cocktails they can take you to where u r lying to sunbath. Otherwise you can sit by the restaurant overlooking the bay or by the bar and nibble amazing food during the hot lazy midday hours.

They have a beautiful location! Good service and good food. If you preferred to come by water they have boat service and boat dock right on their location. It's a very cozy and romantic little spot.

What a wonderful place to spend a day. You can hire beach chairs, umbrellas and towels and swim in the clear waters. Marco very attentive to all your needs from bar service to keeping you in the shade. Mauro is the perfect host whilst dining in the amazing restaurant. Tip. Try the fish fillet baked in potato crust. Takes dining to a whole new level. Well worth a visit. Another tip. Catch a water taxi when you leave if you don’t like lots of stairs. Establishment has only improved since our last visit and nice way to impress our friends. Good on you Mauro

Amazing restaurant with the best food in Ischia and amazing views! My friends and I came here for an engagement dinner and they were extremely accommodating — provided flowers, gave us a private table set apart from the rest, etc. I cannot say enough good things about the wait staff and the food, which was extraordinary! Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the island.

Very lovely little beach club! Beautiful swimming area, sandy entrance to the water if you want it, even floating sun beds to use. The restaurant is delicious though more expensive than your usual island fare, but worth it for the setting!

Beautiful view of the Aragonese castle here, and mind-blowing fish and spaghetti pomodoro. I won't forget the flavor of the pezzogna (sea bream) I ate. Amazingly attentive staff, absolutely lovely service. My friends and I had a wonderful lunch together here. Beware of ordering your pasta al dente; it may be too al dente for American tastes--read crunchy. :) Eggplant parmesan bites and stuffed alici were delicious.

This place is really special, don't miss it. Absolutely the best restaurant, and view, on the island. Thanks to Mauro and team for a other excellent visit to Gardenia Mare, it was perfect. Grazie Mille!

Gardenia Mare is wonderful. The restaurant food is delicious, the accomodation is clean and comfortable, the cove is a great swim spot with a fantastic view of the Castello. The best thing about this special gem is the hospitality and service of Mauro and his team. If you haven't booked yet you should do so immediately!
