👍 I am a tour guide always looking for places to orient my clients to. Yesterday I visited this museum with my son who loves trains, trams and subways. There are few pieces on display but they are beautiful and very suggestive. It is possible to enter the trains, sit in the seats, in the ticket spa... People often mention trains, tram,

I am a tour guide always looking for places to orient my clients to. Yesterday I visited this museum with my son who loves trains, trams and subways. There are few pieces on display but they are beautiful and very suggestive. It is possible to enter the trains, sit in the seats, in the ticket spaces, in some in the control station. It's a nice leap into the past. I recommend it, especially with children

(Translated by Google) A piece of Rome's transport history! You can read the various technical sheets of the various trains and touch the masterpieces that have transported us over 70 years and more!

A few years ago I wrote a positive review with photos: "This hub preserves and gives added value to the means of public transport which in just a few years have become period pieces. The genius of livening up the hub as a crossroads of cultural events is admirable and exemplary, as culture vanishes if it is not experienced". Unfortunately everything has changed! Now this wonderful Museum is in total abandonment and ruin, the pressing protests of the "Transport Museum Center Committee" established precisely for the protection of this common good are useless. The inability of the ATAC managers to guarantee even the minimum such as surveillance with video cameras and the restoration of historic vehicles is disheartening: tram 404 Rome-Cinecittà from 1934 and car 070 of the Castelli Romani line from 1908, recently the object of vandalism as see in the last attached photos...

What you don't expect where you would never believe. Nice display of well-kept tram vehicles that can be visited in a well-kept park. The testimony of a great railway that no longer exists. Free entry, parking on blue lines in the adjacent street.

Very characteristic museum open to the public, there are several vintage locomotives and carriages that can be visited. Inside the open-air museum there are several kiosks where you can have an aperitif or dinner, this evening in particular also with live music.

) Consigliatissimo!

Free entry, open space with tables and sofas, vintage trains, live music, drinks and street food style kiosks. In short, paradise!

A permanent exhibition of historic locomotives and trams restored and subtracted from the degradation of time and the oblivion of memory; a concrete testimony, together with the individual logos, of the various public transport companies that have succeeded over the years: the last century with regard to the movement of the city but also for others, those that led to the sea, the Castelli Romani, Fiuggi and Viterbo.

Small but nice. An absolute must for railway fans. A ticket is required for entry as the entrance is on the platform.

The name of the place doesn't tell everything about what you find there. Among the railway "pieces" that tell of an experience of the past, not just a technical one, there is a small privileged corner of the city in which to pleasantly spend time, for example on warm summer evenings, benefiting from interesting cultural initiatives with the possibility of consuming food and drinks or share an aromatic moment around the hookah. Entrance is free.

Neglected, disorganized, poorly managed and with a bar that is decidedly insufficient even for the most banal things

A small but fine collection of local trains. Entrance is free and most of the trains can be visited from inside too.

(Translated by Google) Truly beautiful, a summary of the history of transport in Rome over the last 170 years. I trust that it will be reopened even with a change of management, the "widespread museum" proposed previously is not to be done.
