This is one of the oldest heritage assets of the Satara City. If rumours are to be believed, there are few tunnels below the water surface that lead upto Ajinkyatara. Current state is very dilapidated. Municipality has not cleaned it in over a decade. People dump garbage. People need to own pieces of history and start taking care of it like our own. We need to preserve it for our future generations.

It's lake in middle of city. Not so big. People says it's haunted as lots of people had suicide in the lake. But, now a days it has beautifully designed with lots of fountains. And the suicide attempts has also stopped.

Nice place for morning or evening walk. Place is surrounded with trees and in morning it is mostly covered with fog and air is also very clean to breathe. There are also benches where you can sit and enjoy the view of Talav. You can also see peacocks and many new birds. It is a nice place for bird watching and photography of birds and reptiles.
