Very helpfull staff, tge store didn't have what i was looking for but called a local store that had it in stock and got them to reserve it for me to go and get. Great customer service. 😁

The entrance isn't wheelchair friendly. Also i would suggest that they had two different ques. One for selling and one for buying.As i was in the que for along time behind people getting all their details took. So i left not buying and going elsewhere.

Always something you want a buy from gadgets to games to media one of the best places to buy from

I brought an Xbox in to sell. They told me they couldn't buy it because there was "wood in the fan", and to OPEN THE XBOX to get the wood out. I opened the Xbox, dusted off the insides and took a tiny wood chip out, closed the Xbox up and brought it back to sell. They then told me they wouldn't buy it because it had been opened. Which they explicitly told me to do. I mentioned this to the same member of staff I spoke to both times, who said I needed to leave due to "becoming violent" - I was not violent nor did I raise my voice, I asked to speak to the member of staff's manager. Will not be going here ever again.

Horrible I always use to bay iPhone here the last one I bay have issue with battery and it is in warranty I went to the shop i explain to them what’s rong with my iPhone they didn’t do nothing very disappointing

Store looked nice outside and in, but I went there for two items. Both had a broken case, and one of them was put in a 4K case (should have been in a collectors Arrow case) with a fake reprinted cover, and they had the cheek on ask £10 for it, when it is £15 elsewhere when the official case, cover, and not broken. Wasted journey, and it cost me for parking up as well. Disappointed.

The shop has a great selection of games, films, consoles and other electronics. The manager on site was extremely polite, friendly and helpful. He was very knowledgeable and able to answer my queries.

Great shop if looking for electronics and tech items. Prices can be a bit unusual at times - Second hand items they sell in their stores are nearly the same price, if you were to buy the item brand-new. This particular store looked a bit drab and could do with a revamp.

Over priced second hand games and the staff looks like they don't want to be there

I used to think it was a shop that ran on cheap energy drinks, low testosterone, 4chan and the frustration of ripped off people off. Where else can you buy 28 year old computer games for 15x their original market price? Or sell your mint console 1 week after release for 1000th of its worth? But having seen the joy, the kids get out of buying games for the older PlayStations and Xbox's with their pocket money. It hits you right in the feels even though the whole place and the business model feels "sticky" like Blackpool - but without the fun.

Over the years I have spent hours here. Most of them were spent standing in the queue, but the rest of them hours were spent hunting for DVDs to rebuild my collection with.

If you sell DVDs, they will buy it for a penny literally. Better to give it to charity shop. Otherwise you can get secondhand mobiles, videogames, gaming console or even laptop here. Mobile/TV accessories also sold here.

Sold me an earbuds that only one works, it also doesn’t charge properly. And I was told I couldn’t test them until after paying. After paying and found out one of the ear buds wasn’t working right in the store I was told I couldn’t swap and the only way I was to get a refund was through a voucher. Being that I only needed the earbuds for my trip as I was transiting through Liverpool it was pointless getting a voucher, and I told the attendant but no help was rendered. I almost missed my bus, and I had to run to the bus station cos of how slow their service was, spent almost 45mins in store just to get a trash earbuds that is faulty! I’m so appalled!!!

Purchased a mobile phone December 2023.Sale assistant told me I could not hold the phone myself to check it out. He then gave me demonstration.I purchased the phone. Too big to go in my pocket, too slippy to handle without a case.Refunded my purchase to a gift card. They never give cash refunds at Cex only gift card refunds.I will be more careful next time.

Staff are friendly and would happily answer the questions we had about products and when they didn't have the answer with them right away would look it up for us.

Picked up a nice Canon fit wide angle, As there are not many camra shoe around anymore, jessops, has, gone (again) and buying online you can't really tell what condition it s in till it arrives, So you can pic up a good deal,

Really disappointed and frustrated at the continued unresolved issue I have had with this store since before Christmas. I traded in a phone on the 22nd December after booking in via my CEX account. I was due to recieve the funds next day, I still have not recieved my funds over 3 weeks later. I raised the request in the site for support and was told I was paid. After sending bank statements and essentialy investigating the problem for you, you finally confirmed you made the payment to an old CEX account connected to a closed bank account. You confirmed this on 7th January, I was informed I would recieve my payment to the correct banking details and I still have not recieved this. One response every couple of days from the support is not good enough. Please can someone contact me and make the payment I am due? UPDATE* Now 3 days later and still no payment (17/01/2022). I traded the device in on 22nd December, so we are now approaching 1 month delay on this payment. Please can you update me?

I bought a Nintendo Switch, a few games, and some accessories that totaled about three hundred and fifty pounds on Lord St.. I bought a game called Rayman Legends for 16 pounds. I am from the states and a new customer. On the bottom of the game package in small lettering it says download code only. I didn't see that. I brought back the game expecting to get store credit for a different game in the store. They would not give me credit though I had the receipt. That is not how business is done. Cex, sort it out. I will not be a return customer.

Had to return an item that was sent incorrectly from an online order in this branch and the customer service was great. Lovely staff in general but Lily in particular was super helpful, thanks for the help!! I was also pleasantly surprised to see a couple of GBA games available in store (a rare sight these days), made my trip extra worth it

The staff are always friendly and helpful, it's fun to look at the games while hearing them having detailed geek conversations about new movies or games coming out. They definitely know their stuff. Plus the last time I went I was able to ogle a super hot tgirl that worked there.

I like this shop because it offers more than your average CeX store. The basement (yes, they have a downstairs!) is not just Dvd & Blu Ray but music cd's too. Please don't give up on all these formats because of live streaming! Upstairs for all game formats and electronic gizmos. If you trade, take a store credit over cash as you'll get more. That said, cash is important so the option is there.

I've bought a few games from here lately and they've all been missing a disk, or had the wrong disk in. Plus they purposely hand over the wrong disk with the box when it comes to things like game of the year editions, or classics that include dlc on the disk. And I'm quoting here on why they do that "it's good enough for us". Never mind it's never said or written anywhere.
