This is a great park to bring the kids to! It's open year round. Always busy. Recent renovated. Unfortunately it doesn't have spray shower. Bring your sunscreen and snacks, the kids are not going to want to leave. If they had a bathroom, could be here all day.

Great park and well maintained. Love the area for the kids where people donated push toys and ride on toys for the kids. Fell in love with the big swing!!

The Melrose Common park is one of the jewels of Melrose. I walk my dog there a couple of times a day. For many years I walked/ jogged around the common in early morning. Loved seeing the sun rise over the trees. The common is well kept by the Park Department crew. The kids playground is large and always active. The baseball/softball area is well maintained. The Common Market is great and they carry a large selection of Richardson's ice Cream. Grateful to have the Common within walking distance. The number of barrels around the park are also bonus for dog walkers. It's also comforting to have a Fire Station there with all the children and activities in the Park.

This is great subarbian park, its nice and usual kids amenities and has section for each age group. Best part of this park is, city of Melrose has setup a decent set of toys for toddlers and young kids along with ground for basketball, baseball for bigger age group. My son loves it here and doesn't want to g back once here !

We live very close to commons and take our daughter there almost every few days. She enjoys a lot by looking at other kids and interacting with them.

Grew up going to this park with my younger sis, brought my fiance here and we swung on the swings, it's very lovely for how much they updated it! They have two little parks one for the kids and one for the older kids and they have a are where you can drive in a little tykes car and scooters, then you have the baseball field where sometimes their girls softball games going on, who will win? You never know!

This pack at summer they have so many toys.my 3yr old loves playing and running around. Best swings and the playground is perfect for all activities.

A mom's dream! I love the flat fenced in area where the kiddos ride bikes and other donated toys. There are several structures appropriate to multiple ages. There are two swing sets as well. It is clean, safe and enjoyable. The nearest bathroom is just down the road at the little store and while there you can purchase slush.

Great place for kids. People bring many toys and bicycles for all to use. There is a basketball court and baseball field. It would be nice if they had restrooms here.

I love Melrose Common! It's got something for everyone. A playground for the small kiddos, another area for the big kiddos, sports fields for the biggest kiddos and a large area for learning to ride a bike with a bunch of free trikes, balance bikes, scooters and bikes. There is an ice cream and convenience store at one corner (common market) and a fire station in the middle where the kiddos can see fire trucks being washed often. Best of all, there are always friends kids there, so I can take my five year old there whenever she wants to play!
