This fountain in Forsyth Park is very picturesque. It is a spot for lots of photo opps and has a long pathway leading to the fountain that can also be grate for photos with the fountain in the background. The fountain is surrounded by lots of Spanish moss trees that makes for lots of shade. There is lots of places to sit a round the fountain to take it in and relax and enjoy it’s beauty from benches to lots of green space. This fountain is the center piece of Forsyth Park. I would definitely come back here again if I am ever in the area and recommend checking out the fountain the park and the Historic District that is in.

I found the Forsyth fountain when researching things to do on Trip Advisor. After I got there, I loved all of the details that went into the architecture. In addition, you’ll see Spanish moss trees close to the fountain. If you’re decent with taking photos, you can snap some very beautiful pictures. The park itself is huge. You’ll find many activities held here like a farmer’s market, weddings, engagement photos, etc. A must see if you decide to visit.

Beautiful spot. Perfect place to hangout in a hammock or chill with someone just laying on the ground. Plenty of shade. Love this park. A must to see and visit in Savannah.

Today we strolled through Forsyth Park and it was so beautiful! The Artist there is extremely talented so I thought I would post her lovely painting. I will post her Card too so everyone can buy something extraordinary from her! It's exciting to truly meet a super special artist.

Beautiful fountain no matter what angle you see it from. Perfect place for picturesque views of stunning Southern architecture. The best view of the fountain is from the walkway connecting to Bull Street. Day or Night, this is a must see of Savannah!

This fountain is beautiful and worth taking a walk too. We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon and there were a few art vendors and paint exhibits as well as vendors with hand crafted jewelry. Nothing over whelmed and they were not pushy. If you are looking for a nice stroll - stop by. We parked in the Limited spaces by the tennis courts. Make sure you lock your car.

Home to the poets, artist and tourist. The place has a unique outdoor charm which invites all walks of life. The Spanish moss is just the topping to a must visit if you are in town

Fountain is beautiful. But alot of homeless folks in park trying to get money. It was sad. Monuments in park has some graffiti. There is tons of people. There are two playgrounds. We were supposed to do a scavenger hunt that evening there but chose against it after seeing it in daylight. Didn't feel like it would of been safe.

Absolutely beautiful setting. We were there for a wedding and the view was spectacular. The area we were in was closed off to the public for the event. And our view was the postcard. With the old oak canopy over the fountain. It did get loud a few times from cars and motorcycles. But overall it was an amazing place for a wedding.

If you appreciate art, people watching & and nature, this is a magnificent place to experience. There is always a handful of creative artists near the fountain. One of my favorite artists is Pearl. She does magnificent wire wrapping. Pearl keeps a good selection of pieces. Always different, unique, and one of a kind. I have included pictures of her work. If you are ever in Savannah, it would be well worth the trip to stop by and see her. I met another artists Derek Lawson. I fell in love with his artwork & purchased a piece to bring home. Benjamin makes flowers, crosses & other designs out of palm fronds. There were plenty of other artists & vendors. Each time I visit, I try to meet new artists and share their work. There is history here, a place to eat, a stunning fountain & two playgrounds for the kids. There is literally Something for everyone!

Such a fun park to enjoy! Especially during community events such as the greening of the fountain before St. Patrick’s Day! This is a central spot in Savannah where both locals and visitors hang out. You may see a proposal or wedding and you’re sure to find some excellent artists and musicians around this fountain which dates to 1858. Forsyth Park was laid out in 1853 and completes the 24 square plan of Savannah. Enjoy the coffee shop at the end of the park, the cafe in the middle, or a restaurant around this area.

Fivr generations of my family have visited this park and have taken pictures of this fountain. It's incredibly beautiful and pictures don't do justice. Peaceful and quiet. There is now a coffee shop a short walk away from the fountain. A walk up window for refreshments when the cafe is not open. Very clean bathrooms monitored by security on site. Sweet memories over the years

Never been here before but my girlfriend and I were on a road trip from Florida to DC and she had a few places she wanted see on the way up. The weather was prefect, kids being kids playing, people lounging in the sun or in the shade just enjoying the day, it was great. If you're in the area on a road trip or if you live in the area and need an excuse to get out, I would definitely suggest Forsyth Park.

This is one of the best places to take photos in Savannah! I wanted to visit the Fountain at Forsyth Park since watching Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. This famous landmark is easy to find and free to visit. The fountain is in the heart of downtown Savannah and feels as though everything else was built around it. It's funny that so much attention is given to this landmark since it was originally purchased from a catalog. There are several others similarly placed in the world. It is certainly beautiful and worth a visit. It's a great place to sit and reflect on the beauty and history of Savannah.

Amazing fountain. If you want to spice up your day, the fountain is waiting for you. The benches are great as well, and so is the fountain. It’s gone to the point that people are willing to take a nap on them. My grandma almost took one too. By the way, you should visit the fountain, it had water!

It was nice exploring Savannah. Walking throughout the city’s downtown, City Market, and River Walk was such an adventure. I didn’t know I was going to walk the entire area without the trolley. I went from one place to another and realized my feet were aching until I stopped to sit at my last stop. By then, I was ready to call it a day.

I would imagine this is a popular spot for photos, the aged Spanish Moss and beautiful white fountain make for a very calming experience. Despite being there on a weekend, it wasn't crowded at all. The smells from the nearby cafe are very enticing, so definitely check them out while you walk through the park.

The fountain was stunning, intricate so many small details and elegant designs. Bigger than I expected. It’s a very popular place for everyone to hang out in I recommend seeing it in the day but also at night. There’s less people and you can appreciate the fountain more closely without the commotion.

This is our favorite place in Savannah. It was really crowded today with all kinds of fun things going on. There was a farmer’s market, people playing all kinds of activities and a wedding. Such a nice place to sit and relax. The only negative is there is a lot of homeless people hanging around this park sitting on benches and such. But everyone was super respectful and always enjoy stopping here.

When we visited the first time during our stay there was a farmers market going on (Saturday). Lines for the women’s bathroom had a sizable line. The second time we visited the park, we walked from our hotel. The shad from the trees allowed for a nice break from the sun. There was a movie being filed near the fountain as well. The fragrance garden was nice to walk through as well.

What a great "chill" park! Dog friendly, people friendly! It was relatively easy to find a parking space and the walk around the park was beautiful! Sitting around the fountain was relaxing and the native Savannah residents were very open to sharing their city pride and offering recommendations for restaurants and things to do!

Did a little walking tour since I was with a fan of the movie Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. She thoroughly enjoyed it.

Absolutely beautiful and lots of fun! I enjoyed not only the scenery, but all of the vendors!! The food establishments surrounding the park were phenomenal as well!

Nice fountain. The park is fairly quiet and the fountain is the standout feature. There isn't a lot of activity around the foundation. You'll find some limited seating in the area, but there aren't a ton of benches.

Beautiful outdoor experience. Plenty of room to wander and plenty of shade to enjoy. Even if there's a lot of people, the place is big enough to be as close or far as you want from others and the fountain is beautiful!

Beautiful park. The city needs to get a hold of the homeless roaming the park and making the visitors feel very uncomfortable. I could have done without one following us and then getting in our faces.

The highlight of this park is the beautiful backdrop of the fountain for photos - it's quite romantic. Went on a Wednesday afternoon in July and although it wasn't as busy as o thought it'd be, it was quite hot out. The best time to take the photos was early in the morning when I went back the following day at 7am just after sunrise.

I love the fountain at Forsyth Park, but finding a parking spot isn't easy. The park is beautiful but there did seem to be several homeless folks hanging around the park. Guess if you have to be homeless that's the place to be. It's so beautiful.

Absolutely GORGEOUS for wedding photos! We went in the morning so that the park wouldn’t be as busy and it worked out perfectly. I also wasn’t sure how safe we would feel, since we weren’t from the area, but honestly it felt very lively and fresh and we even befriended a very brave squirrel while there. Lol!

Beautiful fountain. Great place to people watch. Always an event going on. I went on Saturday morning so it was super busy. If u want a calmer atmosphere, maybe during the week would be better. Long line at the restaurant. Didn’t bother going in

A must visit, I do every time I'm in Savannah. This is a large Park to relax, have a picnic, play with your kids and dogs. It's so beautiful and I love sitting by this beautiful fountain. Make sure to add it to your "To Do List".
