We enjoyed our stay here overall. The pool was such a treat after a hot day in Savannah, and the breakfasts were generally good. It’s in a nice quiet neighborhood close to the action. We stayed in two rooms and the first was nice; the second really needed a remodel, but that might be already happening now. The service was decent overall. One disappointment was that our room just wasn’t cleaned one day, for no explicable reason. The housekeeper later told us that no one was helping her and they had her doing too much, which might have had something to do with it. We also asked for help putting our suitcase on the second floor since my mom has a bad back and I am pregnant, and we were told later that I was the heaviest suitcase ever (not exactly gracious hospitality…). Again, not a bad place to stay, but we have stayed at another bed and breakfast in Savannah that was a step above.

What a truly beautiful stay we had!!! My husband and I were passing through and decided to give The Azalea Inn a try. We called late but the staff person made it very easy to confirm the reservation and offered a late self check-in. Upon arrival, we found our marked envelope at the desk and showed ourselves up to our room. We were very happy with the well lite room, big comfy bed and oversized soaking tub in which we very much enjoyed after a long day of travel. The best part was the delicious breakfast with fellow travelers the next morning. When making my initial reservation, I was asked if we have any allergies or dietary restrictions. I’m gluten free. My breakfast was a beautiful gluten free fruit assortment and vegetable quiche!! The setting was very old south with every detail and proper placement perfectly arranged!! We had great conversations with those at the table. I wish we would have had more time to stay! This was truly a treat and felt like we stepped back in time, but with the modern amenities you come to expect today. We will most definitely return!!

Absolutely stunning bed and breakfast. The staff and breakfast each morning was really top notch. We stayed in the Chinaberry Balcony room. The room was very nice and the bed was comfortable. Would definitely stay here again!

Southern hospitality to the fullest! We met with Scott, who is such a gracious host. He assisted us with recommendations, and directions for basically everything. The Inn is set up to make guests feel comfortable and welcome. Our accommodations were excellent! The room came with a fireplace, jacuzzi tub, lounging area, personal balcony, extra large king bed, swimming pool, and lounging area. If you choose to sit on the front porch of the Inn, you will enjoy all the charms and beauty of Savannah. If you ever take a trip to Savannah, The Azalea Inn is a must.

Had the most amazing time staying at Azalea Inn & Villas. The adorable rooms, exceptional service & mouthwatering food all exceeded expectations. I ended up leaving my glasses in the room and the staff promptly mailed them to my home without any hesitation. Would 100% recommend this stay to anyone, I can't wait to go back again.

What a fabulous place to stay. First check-in was so easy. Everyone including guest was full of world famous southern charm. Thankful since it was midnight and my husband and I had been driving many hours. This made falling asleep easily knowing we were waking to fresh faces and warm personalities. Do yourself a favor and stay here! We will be back!

Where do I begin? If you are looking for a quaint, quiet and historic site to lay your head, Azalea Inn and Villas is exactly the place for you. During our stay, my significant other and I, stayed in the Live Oak Room. It was beautiful, comfortable bed and relaxing fire place. The amazing staff and breakfast absolutely surprised us. The food and dessert were some of the best I've ever had. Not to mention, during breakfast, you get a history lesson on the Azalea wall art, how neat is that?! They truly have something special and I'm so glad we got to experience it. Neither of us has ever stayed in an Inn but we will definitely reconsider after our trip. I would recommend to anyone needing a place to stay during your travels. Alisha, the manager, was so hospitable, from the moment I made the reservation. My now Fiance, gave me a ring in our room! Talk about a beautiful moment in such a beautiful place! Alisha is one of the first people I shared the news with. All in all, Savannah now has a piece of my heart, as well as the Azalea. We will definitely be returning. Honeymoon, maybe?

This place is so special! Me and my wife stayed at the Azalea Inn and Villas for 4 nights and had an absolutely amazing trip! The property is beautifully maintained. Its location right next to Forsyth Park is outside of the main historic center, but close enough that you can easily walk to town. And with how beautiful the nearby streets are, you're going to want to walk as much as possible. Breakfast is included and is different every morning. Every single dish was perfect, and the portions are just the right amount. Complimentary sherry is provided in the common area as well, which was a nice touch. But the best part (at least for my wife) was dessert every evening. Again, the dishes change every night, but who doesn't love a good homemade dessert after a long day of sightseeing? What really highlights our trip was the staff. I wish I got all of your names, but everyone, from Teresa and her husband, to the front desk staff, to our housekeepers and everyone in between, thank you for giving us such a good experience! These are truly some of the nicest people we have ever met. We will definitely be returning and will recommend this place to all our friends and family!

Such a lovely Bed and Breakfast in Savannah. The room was clean. We were provided robes. Proximity to the pool and patio was close. Very quiet place to stay. Breakfast was excellent. Teagen was vey helpful with suggestions on places to eat and things to do, besides being very friendly! We will definitely be back and stay at the Azalea Inn.

We ended up not staying because a change in plans with another couple joining us. We called well outside the two week window to cancel. When we cancelled we were then informed that there would be a $40.00 cancellation fee. When my wife made the initial reservation she was not told that. We checked with the couple that were joining and they said the same. It is not reflected anywhere o the website. We have stayed at hundreds of B&B over the years and have never encountered a cancellation fee outside of a certain window. This business has false advertising.

I have been here for under an hour and am already blown away by the service alone. Scott is the most helpful and kind person to have come across while traveling. The building is beautiful and the rooms are equally has historically charming while still having modern luxuries. I always try to book cute little historic inns when we go on vacation, and I’m seriously very impressed by this one and excited for the rest of our stay.

Very cute B&B. Tegan was an excellent host. Everything you could hope for in a B&B was there. Sherry in the parlor, breakfast in the formal dinning room, pool in the garden and balcony with rocking chairs. The location was perfect near Forsyth Park. We walked all the way to river walk and it was so nice. Parking is 15.00 a night right there beside the house. We had an absolutely lovely time and will plan to be back!

After the glowing reviews of service I was expecting much more than what we received during our stay. My sisters and I agree that reception was not warn or friendly and it was not the most welcoming introduction to our stay. The rooms could use some refreshing and painting. The breakfast was just ok, nothing special…scrambled eggs, bacon, a biscuit (seemed store bought) and grits. The inn itself is charming and cozy. The Sherry, coffee and tea in the parlor are a nice touch but the highlight was the freshly baked dessert available to guests in the dining room in the evening. It was a 15 minute walk to main tourist sights. Not certain I would chose to stay here again unfortunately.

Very nice B&B. The staff is incredible and the breakfast is delicious! Ask them to make waffles! One of the best waffles I have ever had! We stayed in the gentleman parlor. Try to get a different room if possible. It is right next to the front door so you can hear everyone coming. Also, check the fire place. Ours was put on automatically and you have to tell the staff to turn it off. It is about a 25-30 minute walk to the river but the walk is amazing and you see so many sites. Loved the location! I will be back but will ask for a room not on the first floor.

My wife and I stayed at the Azalea inn and Villas in June for seven days> The first four nights were in the Gentleman's Parlor and it was nice and cozy and comfortable. Then the last nights we stayed in the Huntingdon room it was a king size bed and was even more comfortable and cozy. Teagan was very welcoming and gave informative description's about the paintings in the dining room during breakfast. Breakfast was different each day and savory and sweet mix. Scott was also very nice and helpful during our stay. Last but not least was Miss Q she was a delight to talk with and very helpful during our stay. All the employees we met were very courteous and thanked us for staying with them. This was our second visit to a b&b and I don't think that I will ever be happy at a chain hotel. Highly enjoyed meeting all the different couples from around the world. Tootie and Tennessee Tim loved our stay at the Azalea Inn and Villas thank you everyone for making our vacation so special. We will see you all soon!!!!!!!

This is such a beautiful home. The Christmas decoration made this home so warm and inviting. The staff is so kind and accommodating. The rooms are beautiful! We always had fresh towels each day. Chef Tony is awesome! Our Breakfasts were delicious. He should be on Food Network. Presentation was outstanding! Shower and hair products were awesome. Cannot wait to go back.

We stayed here for our honeymoon and couldn't be more pleased! Rooms were charming...house was cozy and porch was a favored spot for post dinner relaxing. Staff were truly exceptional! Everyone went out of their way to make the stay perfect. Breakfast was delicious and the evening snacks and treats were very thoughtful. Sitting room with evening sherry made a lovely spot to get to know other guests!

Azalea Inn was a little paradise! We stayed there for a last minute honeymoon when our original plans got canceled due to new travel restrictions a few days before our wedding. Teresa made sure to make our alternate honeymoon feel just as special. Her home-cooked breakfasts are amazing and it's a wonderful treat to come back to homemade desserts every evening. The back courtyard is the real treasure of this inn, it feels like a paradise oasis. I only wish the descriptions of the rooms were a bit more clear - I couldn't tell which rooms had jacuzzi tubs and which didn't, so we ended up in a room that didn't have one.

Overall, the staff here are so wonderful! The top highlights include the breakfast, the free sherry in the parlor, the old charm of the building, and great location near Forsyth Park. There are a couple of details some travelers might appreciate though, which I'll highlight below. Room: We stayed in the Gentlemen's Parlor. The room is situated at the front of the house. You do get some street noise from the trash trucks in the morning, but the area overall is super quiet. The toilet/sink and the shower are in separate areas, which is nice. The walls for each space don't go to the ceiling, however, so this might be a deal breaker for those needing more privacy. There is no AC/Heat control within the room and the windows don't open. We were hot in the room in the middle of the night. This on top of a very firm bed made for not so restful evenings. In January, opening the windows at least a bit would have been enough to allow for more comfort. Lastly, all the bedding and towels are washed in heavily perfumed laundry detergent. If you have allergies or sensitivities, this might be an issue for you as well. Breakfast: Breakfast is different every morning and included with your stay. The owners clearly take a lot of pride in this. Everything was delicious and the staff were very accommodating if you have food allergies or need anything. Location: The property is located close to the north end of Forsyth Park. Close enough to the action of the historic district but far enough to be a relaxing respite. Really loved this! I think the owners take a lot of pride in their business. With a few tweaks to allow for more comfort in the rooms, this place would be A+. Great value stay in a beautiful home in Savannah. I would stay again, probably just in a different room.

We love this place even we only stayed there one night. The location is close to everything. It is very easy to find a free street parking. The breakfast was super delicious and the staffs there were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again.

Teresa (the Innkeeper) et al. made our stay a wonderful experience. Everything exceeded our expectations. The pool is surrounded by a wonderful her own Savannah garden! Breakfast Story time is an culinary and historical adventure into the past.

Took my girlfriend for her birthday, I proposed while here. The staff was amazing and helped me make this so special. the breakfast every morning was delicious and the Inn itself was so warm and homey. I would stay here anytime. thank you all for making our special trip even more so.

The property is beautiful and the staff are warm and welcoming. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, as was evening dessert. The bed was extremely comfortable, and everything was spotlessly clean. It's also nice to have the option to park on site and not worry about coming back and having to park a mile away. We will definitely be back and stay longer!

My fiancé and I stayed at the Azalea Inn for 3 nights and had a great stay! Great location in a historical area, wonderful pool area, and the breakfasts were some of the best that we've had. Not the cheapest option out there, but definitely a unique experience and made our first time in Savannah very memorable. The staff was super friendly, knowledgable, and had some great dining and shopping recommendations as well. None of this bothered us but we thought it was worth noting: the building is old and historic which came with squeaky floors, outdated room design & furniture, and the walls are definitely very thin. We put a sound machine on at night and it took away any outside noise/conversations and all was good. Overall, a wonderful stay!

The property was well maintained. The house was updated with the modern conveniences where it mattered. It was always clean and the staff very friendly. The staff was always respectful. Truly southern hospitality lives there. Ebony, their kitchen preparer was the best! She gave my wife and I an excellent representation of a southern breakfast. First morning we had Apple Bread pudding and greens. Second morning we had shrimp and grits. I've never had grits... she made them easy to like. I can't say enough how pleased we were with her meals. Scott and Teagan were exceptional help at the desk and with all else that was needed. They were always willing to give local advice and help with some touring tips and tricks. We thank them very much and hope to pass through again in the future!!

Our trip down highway 95 to Azalea Inn and Villas was extremely stressful, but all the stress melted away when we were greeted with warm smiles, hit coffee, tea and dessert on fine china. My husband and I stayed at Wisteria Cottage for our anniversary and it was just wonderful. Our cottage was tucked away in the back, by the pool. Our room was private and comfortable, simple artwork and some beautiful antique pieces made up the furniture. I loved the cozy robes and large bathtub with rain head shower! Inside the main house there was always hot coffee, hot chocolate, tea, sodas and popcorn. The dining room walls are adorned with paintings that tell the history of Savannah with a few twists, you must get them to show you all the hidden gems. I cannot say enough about the breakfasts each morning. As a busy mom, I rarely eat breakfast and if I do it is typically cereal! I was blown away by what we were served. I can honestly say that the best meal we had the whole 4 days was the shrimp and grits with homemade salsa and ginger muffin...unbelievable!!! The staff was friendly and always working hard. They seemed eager to assist and never put upon! The location is near Forsyth Park and was easily walkable to the shops and River Street. We will most definitely return!!

The moment our family walked through the front door we were made to feel a part of the Azalea Inn family, welcomed with our first names and personally given tours of each room to be occupied by us. The rooms were cozy, comfortable, well appointed and the breakfast was delicious. We played a game of Scrabble in the evening after dining out and enjoyed a tasty glass of sherry and a home made dessert before retiring to our rooms. We will without a doubt stay at the Azalea Inn the next time we visit Savannah. Thank you so much for a memorable visit!

Theresa and her team were fabulous! The rooms were better than expected and the location was perfect walking distance to everything we wanted to do in Savannah. Anything we needed was available and they offered wonderful dining suggestions as well as tours. The food was absolutely over the top delicious and the Chef is a gem! Loved her so much! The southern hospitality was incredible. Our visit in Savannah was the crown jewel on our 10 day southern tour and that is because of how much we loved the Azalea Inn!

We stayed at the Azalea Inn this past weekend and it was a beautiful bed and breakfast. I thought about if I should leave a review or not but ultimately decided to leave one because the price for a two night stay deserves criticism if the stay was not perfect. When we came in the girl at the front, Emily was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. When she showed us to our room (The Cotton exchange) I was shocked to see the nightstands were full of water marks from glasses or cups. When my husband left to go get his bags he stopped at the front desk to ask a few questions. I was still in the room with the door closed and I could hear every word my husband said from the lobby. This is an old house and not well insulated but maybe something could be left in the roof for underneath the door to block some of the noise out. Later my husband took a shower and the face of the shower knob fell off and the shower curtain fell down. The next day the issues in the shower were fixed. At night time we were kept up by the ceiling fan making this very strange noise. In regards to the breakfast, the first morning the breakfast was great but the second morning it was practically dessert. We had fruit salad with whip cream and a ricotta cake with a crumbled topping. It was good but very sweet and not breakfast in my opinion. Ultimately our stay was wonderful but when you pay over $900 for a two night stay plus $30.00 for parking you expect perfection. We left a 4 star review because the location was great, the rooms were very clean & comfortable, and the home was beautiful.

Our stay at Azalea Inn was delightful. My wife and I celebrated our 25th anniversary in Savannah for a week, and we chose the perfect Bed & Breakfast (Cotton Exchange room). The staff provided exemplary southern hospitality by patiently answering our endless questions with a smile, serving delicious food and evening desserts, and providing an extremely clean and quiet environment. If you are looking for a charming, quintessential Savannah experience, we highly recommend the Azalea Inn!

From meeting Emily when we walked in to Ms. Betty singing and Desire making the most amazing breakfasts and deserts…. You can’t compliment enough. The room was wonderful and how often do you get to climb out a window to get to your balcony?!! Everyone goes above and beyond to make sure you have the best stay possible.

From the moment we walked through the door and saw Tom, The general manager it was a wonderful stay from beginning to end. We met many charming people, the food was delectable, great tips and advice from Tom about places to go and experiences to have in the area. The pool was a wonderful surprise, Just steps from our rooms private balcony, clean and refreshing in a secluded garden in the back.. We look forward to staying here again. Richard & Susan M.
