    seeing the after effects of erruptions in 2010 in the museum. the houses are kept in original state with lots of melting house holds articles and bones of herds.

    Mount Merapi is one of the volcanoes surrounding Yogyakarta. We went there as part of a tour to visit Borobudur and Prambanan. Nature can be unpredictable, and on the day we went, there was a lot of fog, and we could barely distinguish the volcano. However, it's definitely worth taking the tour of the area and visiting the museum or various viewpoints. We did the tour with Pro Warriors, and our driver was Blondo, a very friendly and pleasant guy.
