We
lived
at
Center
Pointe
for
years
and
loved
it.
It’s
in
a
great
location
with
walking
trails
and
not
far
from
Cedar
Hills
for
restaurants/grocery/stores.
We
had
auto-pay
set
up
so
it
was
a
very
simple
process
for
rent
and
maintenance
quickly
responded
to
any
tickets
we
submitted.
My
fiancé
and
I
originally
lived
in
two
separate
units
and
moved
into
a
larger
unit
together
in
early
2022
with
the
help
of
the
management
team
at
the
time,
David
and
Rich.
They
were
extremely
helpful
and
made
the
process
so
easy
for
us.
We
had
signed
our
lease
when
prices
were
high
everywhere,
so
felt
we
were
paying
more
than
we
should
have
but
it
met
most
of
our
needs
and
we
were
happy
with
the
complex
overall
so
moved
forward
happily.
Our
issues
came
once
the
management
team
on-site
changed
and
Mike
took
over.
When
we
received
our
lease
renewal
agreement
a
few
months
before
our
lease
was
up,
the
pricing
had
gone
up
1%
under
the
max
legal
limit,
making
the
cost
unjustifiable
for
us.
We
toured
multiple
other
comparable
apartments
nearby
(even
some
through
the
same
property
management
company)
and
they
were
hundreds
less
per
month
for
the
same
floor
plan
type,
some
with
better
amenities.
We
discussed
our
options
with
Mike,
asking
that
we
keep
our
existing
pricing
and
sign
on
for
another
year.
Being
that
we
had
been
great
tenants
over
(paying
on
time
every
month
with
no
complaints
against
us)
and
lived
there
for
4-5
years
between
the
two
of
us,
we
hoped
we’d
be
able
to
reach
an
agreement.
Mike
was
extremely
short
with
us
and
left
us
hanging
via
email
often,
so
we
tried
to
come
into
the
office
to
speak
with
him.
I
was
either
ignored
or
dismissed
while
talking
to
him,
and
he
reached
out
to
corporate
to
discuss
pricing,
providing
the
list
of
comparable
apartments
to
me
2
weeks
after
corporate
had
sent
it
to
him
via
email.
The
prices
were
not
accurate
(we
had
just
gone
to
see
most
of
them
and
the
prices
were
different
for
the
timeframes
we
were
looking
to
sign
on
for)
but
again,
we
were
dismissed.
We
signed
a
lease
with
a
new
complex
(a
larger
apartment
in
a
great
area
nearby
for
about
$200
less/month)
but
then
noticed
our
apartment
had
been
posted
on
center
pointe’s
website
for
about
$100
less
than
we
were
currently
paying.
So
after
all
that
back
and
forth,
they
ended
up
signing
on
new
tenants
for
less
than
we
were
asking
to
pay.
From
a
business
standpoint,
I
can’t
figure
out
how
it
makes
sense
with
all
of
the
move
out/move
in
logistics
and
maintenance
needed
on
top
of
making
less
per
month
off
tenants.
If
we
were
bad
tenants,
I’d
understand
but
I
can
say
with
certainty
we
were
great
tenants.
It
was
very
frustrating
and
such
a
shame
considering
how
great
we
know
the
complex
could
be.
We
had
talked
to
other
tenants
here
and
there
and
many
seemed
to
agree
that
it
was
going
downhill,
so
hopefully
they
can
get
better
management
and
continue
the
great
status
it
had
before!
