I ate here a couple years ago, and it was great. I ate here just the other day and it was a huge disappointment. The pizza we ordered was mediocre at best and had me wishing we'd just gone to Pizzicato. In our entree, chicken had a lot of gristle we had to spit out. That entree said it came with sourdough bread, and we were wondering where it was until we realized it was the soaked bread bits in the salad being used as soggy croutons, which was another colossal disappointment. Perhaps most disappointing of all is that they now tack on a 3% fee to your bill to pay for their employees' health insurance, an unpleasant surprise that brought down a 20% tip to 17%. Pay for your employees health insurance on your own, or do what everyone else does and pass it on to the customer by baking it into your already outrageous prices. 2 stars for good service from the waitstaff, and only for that. If you're looking for fancy and actually good food worth the boujee prices, this ain't the place for it anymore. What on EARTH is their response to me below??? Did AI write that??? Bizarre.

Good ambience and vibes, customer service was amazing. The appetizers were excellent, salad was very fresh.. Wood fired Pizza could have been better, nice but a little under done. The only thing I was surprised with was the employee healthcare tax added to the receipt, I’m all about benefits but I would rather see the cost reflected upfront in the price of food items than the surprise at the end. Overall a lovely experience, the exceptional customer service was definitely the biggest plus.

This photo doesn't do it justice. A beautiful spring pizza with mild flavors. I enjoyed the shrimp and crab ravioli. Always a pleasure Lucca.

The food here was some of the very best Italian food I have ever eaten, and I've lived in Italy... It was tomato week, and we ordered the burrata salad, which came with heirloom tomatoes. Pistachios, shishito peppers, burrata, and the dressing- it was magical. We moved on to the caeser salad- the butter lettuce was soft and sweet, simply excellent. The bolognese was perfectly al dente, but the pizza- wow! Thinly rolled, puffy, crunchy, and delectable! I will be back here again!

Went on a business lunch here on a recommendation. It’s a really quaint neighborhood eatery; parking was surprisingly easy no problem. Everyone there is super friendly and attentive. Little to no wait on anything during the whole time. Great ambience and decor for anything from a business meal to a date night. Food is fantastic! We both had the Caesar Salad. My colleague had the pizza which he said was great. And I had the garganelli pasta dish which is phenomenal. The sauce and mushrooms are excellent but it’s the house made fennel sausage that is the star of the show. We split the house made pistachio ice cream which is as good as it gets. I definitely plan on returning and highly recommend that you give them a try.

The service was excellent. The food was even better, they have been around for awhile and the reason is consistency. Also love that the menu is perfect sized just enough options to please everyone.

Great food! Fast, fresh and super tasty. The photos are not as nice as the food itself. We will come back for sure ♥️

Italian-American restaurant. The place is spacious. There is a suitable distance between the tables for those who are afraid of covid Menu is limited but the dishes are delicious. We ordered pizza, pasta and salad. They were all great. Pizza with excellent crunchy dough. Pasta is well made with an excellent sauce. And a delicious salad. We also ate 3 desserts that were really tasty. We really enjoyed it.

We had to make a reservation in advance. We went on a Wed night and ordered the clams and two pizzas. We put an order for Pera and Raddichio pizza but got the wrong one on our table, the mushroom one instead. The hostess said they would make the right one and the other one was free. Pizza tasted delicious. The pear one was something new to try. Also ordered the Italian soda, pomegranate flavored one but got the strawberry one instead. Too many goof ups with our order that night. Place seemed busy and maybe they can hire more staff.

Really nice neighborhood spot. Very good service, surprisingly good pizza. A little pricier than expected but not out of norm by any means and still a decent value.

Our family had a fantastic meal. The staff could not have been more accommodating and pleasant, even though they were unexpectedly short-handed. If you love Italian food, this is your place; although expect your meal choices to be taken up a notch or two. Some really nice surprises on the menu mixed with more traditional expectations. Clearly, the chefs are having some creative fun, and the results are delicious! Reservations are highly recommended.

The food was very good, not stunning but very good. The service was slow, but solid. The inside noise level is very high - a little money on acoustic tiles on the ceiling would make a big difference. By late in the evening, the area around the toilet and the toilet itself in the men’s room was splattered with urine - it was bad, like where do I put my feet so I can get close to toilet or do I just shoot long range (which makes situation worse)? I have never seen a restroom in a nicer restaurant this bad (thankfully I just needed to pee). It reminded me of a men’s room at a sporting arena. Yuck! Lucca Management, you need to clean the men’s room at least twice during the evening, or install a urinal too. 1 star demotion for too much noise and disgusting restroom. Not sure I want to go back.

Love the food, atmosphere and bartenders were really nice. I liked the mix drinks they made. Reserve a table if you don't want to wait $5/glass wine at 5pm. Roasted Brussels sprouts and delicata was our favorite.

Nice, fairly romantic ambiance but the food was mostly disappointing-- Considering their pricing, their cooking and ingredients don't come close to other delicious local cuisine from places such as South Park Seafood, Mucca Osteria, Güero, and Oregon Culinary Insitute. Better Margherita pizza is at Pizzeria Otto. Ours turned up with burnt crust and burnt basil here. - With Northwest offering such colorful, richly flavored range of delicious ingredients, I hope this restaurant will improve its quality. Charming and easygoing location/neighborhood :)

Wonderful Italian restaurant nestled in a great walkable neighborhood of Portland. So many good choices on the menu! We enjoyed the antipasto, pizza and several main courses.

So long story…party of 15 took 2 hours to get the food. No manager checked on us. Couldn’t get more then one drink. Little to no service here. Food was great service was well.. non existent. Oh best part cutting a cake takes 15 minutes on a Thursday night when the place is empty.
