EDIT: I wrote this review yesterday, and this was my “large” yum bowl today. How is leaving so much of the bowl empty considered large? This is massively disappointing for something that costs $9.50. Food quality: 3 stars Customer service: 2 stars Sometimes we are treated well, sometimes we aren't. They rarely answer the phone and are pretty short with us when we are trying to do our best navigate their new covid rules. A little grace and understanding would be nice. Their service is usually nothing to write home about, and the employees often seem disinterested. It's not that we expect incredible customer service, but when asking for a tip when we check out, we hope for more than a nod in our direction at best or irritated comments in our direction at worst. The food is usually good though. I hope my bowls aren’t short like this.

The spicy bowl was good, yet not really spicy at all. The server was nice and helpful. Enticing to return.

I ordered a smoky wrap with chicken added, from a very rude employee. I got a tortilla with nothing but chicken and a cellophane wrapper in it. I swear to God I got a tortilla with nothing but chicken and halfway through eating it I found a blue piece of plastic in my chicken I could've choked on. DO NOT GO HERE

How exactly does a location with a major pull of vegetarian/vegan options not have tofu? It's on the menu, but they don't actually have it. Or corn tortillas, apparently. The food was decent at best, anyways. Are the tofu dishes good? Guess I'll never know. Also, basically ever dish proudly boasts avocado slices, which isn't necessary a fault, but, like, why avocado? That's... kinds weird. It's worth noting that the staff was great. They were pretty apologetic about the lack of any meat substitutes. Not their fault at all.

Good tasting fresh food. Asked not to include yum sauce as I wasn’t sure what the ingredients were due to many allergies but it was included anyway. Asked for utensils but it wasn’t included. Thank you for offering wholesome food.

This one star has nothing to do with the staff. They were amazing! Upbeat fun and friendly. They all deserve a raise. My one star rating is mostly due to the food and Cafe Yumm the chain as a whole. I have never been here before and did not know what to expect but have heard from countless people in Portland that I absolutely HAVE to eat here. After looking at the menu and ordering a few things I was shocked that my bill was $44!!! 3 kids menu items and two adult menu items. This isn't Outback Steakhouse or Cheesecake Factory folks. The ingredients were literally prepared and served as if I was in my own kitchen, simply prepared and practically raw. I guess I didn't realize that's Cafe Yumm's whole aesthetic? Anyway the food was bland beyond belief, unsalted and just flavorless (and I even got the "jazzy" bowl which was supposed to have extra kick? Last time I'll ever eat at this overpriced bland restaurant again. Workers were amazing though!

I want to shout out the workers here for always making delicious and fresh food! I'm lucky Cafe Yumm is nearby when I don't have food ready to eat at home and am in a pinch schedule-wise. Thank you all!!

Excellent, when they do it right, i order the original bowl with tempeh but I have gotten cold tempeh, barely grilled multiple times and not so fresh and sloppy. But when they do it right and fresh it’s really good.

Alright, I have eaten at several Yumm locations and I am very happy that this one is the one closest to where I live. At other stores I have questioned food quality, and assembly but at this location I am always pleasantly surprised whether I come in and order or I order through a secondary app for delivery. Food from this location is always fresh and tasty. Finally, Ray who often works the register is an absolute joy to interact with and takes away all the social anxiety I have by always being so personalabe and thoughtful.

I love Cafe Yumm! I am a vegetarian who doesn't like cheese or sour cream, so I usually get an original bowl with the vegan sub avocado. It always feels very filling, but doesn't make you feel bloated like some other foods do! I haven't had dine-in here, but I know the ambience and atmosphere of the place is awesome. Be aware that while Cafe Yumm is delicious, their meals can be pricey ($12 for a large Yumm bowl!). I'm slightly biased as Cafe Yumm is one of my favorite places to eat, but like all food, if you haven't tried it, I wholeheartedly recommend it! If you found my review helpful, consider liking it! It's an okay location, but I've certainly had better. The tofu bento was a bit dryer than usual. I never come here expecting to feel full after a meal, though it's always a bit unsatisfying whenever it happens. The food I get is definitely not guilt-inducing, though. Good for a healthier option when you want something quick and easy.

Impossible to order online unless you open an account with some incompetent order processor called "Heartland". Will never have any dealings with Yumm/Heartland again.

My go to place ! Always I order the same the Original bowl ! It tastes so damnnn good each and Everytime ! I have visited this place more than 20 times never disappointed with the taste and the service , staff is so friendly ! Must must try ! I love their Yum sauce and they have bottles , I always buy one 😄

Delicious food, but ordering from this restaurant through any delivery app (UberEats, DoorDash, GrubHub, etc…) results in getting food that isn’t what I ordered over half the time… I’m basing this on over 50 orders, not just being dramatic after 1 or 2 experiences… If you’re ok with receiving food that isn’t what you ordered, then I highly recommend (that yumm sauce is pretty great). But if you want to eat the food you ordered, then you’ll be disappointed more often than not. :(

I was pleasantly surprised. We just wanted something light and tasty. Cafe Yumm! was just the thing for us. Although there seemed to be a limited variety, the food was good. There are vegan options for those who prefer no meat or dairy. Definitely worth a try.

Love this place! The staff was so friendly and helpful, with super fast service. The food was excellent, also! Great choices for gluten free folks!

I come here very often during lunch breaks. The food tastes great and uses very fresh ingredients. This location is always super fast at getting food out even when there is a long line. Lots of seating inside and outside, very clean atmosphere.

The people who work here are awesome and they are super fast. No worries if you can't call ahead because you'll be right in and out. The food is a little more expensive than fast food, but it's delicious and made with quality ingredients so it's totally worth it.

I always get the yummy classic bowl and it is always so fresh and delicious and filling. The people who work there are always friendly too and the restaurant is very clean. Thank you Cafe Yum for being a dependable place to eat!

There food is great I won't lie. But when I spend 15 dollars on a large yum bowl I expect it to be full and not the quantity of a medium yumm bowl. This happens more then it should. ☹️

Great food, awful portion sizes. Paid for chicken and I got what you see in top left. Not even a full slice of chicken. This was dumped straight into the bowl when I got home.

Cafe Yumm is the blandest food I have ever tasted. Not sure the "Hype" of this place because nothing is seasoned except their "sauce". 4.3?? Must be getting 5 stars from people that eat at subway and get the chicken with just mayo

They asked to see my phone to make sure I was picking up the right order but they didn't ask the white girl who was two people ahead of me in line. Sounds racist to me. Im latinx wearing construction clothes and she was in hoodie and sweats🙄

I called Cafe Yumm at 7:50 and they took my order and said it'll be ready in 10 or 15 minutes and I said oh that's longer than usual and she said yeah see you see you then and so I got there in 15 minutes and they were closed and I knocked on the door and they said that well we close at eight and I said then why did you take my order and tell me to come in 10 or 15 minutes and he says well we close at eight and I don't have my tail open anymore so I can't ring it through and I said this is so illogical and he says well no we close at eight We order takeout frequently from this location. We are disappointed in the lack of sympathy and professionalism by the gal who took our order and the fellow (maybe the manager) who came out in the sidewalk to merely tell me they close at eight. He said he threw out the order. I actually sat in my car for ten minutes because I was told it would take ten to fifteen minutes. I guess I sprint have done that!

Rapid service and food ready incredibly fast. No errors on my order modifications. Thanks for the yummy brunch!

All I can say is Yummmmm. Good food. Friendly staff. Healthy food that is quiet tasty Nice outside area for those rare days.

This Canadian absolutely loved the food! I appreciate there were gluten free options and that I could order small, medium or large. It was very tasty and filling. I'd definitely go back.

Overall the food at Cafe Yumm! is super tasty. It seems a tad pricey for a rice bowl without meat, but it's always fresh and I never have to wait long. This location has friendly staff and a nice place to sit outside while you eat!
