very bad experience. My mom is 83 years old and she doesn't feel well. we went there in the early morning. The receptionist told us through the phone that we have to come back to see the walk in clinic doctor at 6:30pm , so we back home and wait until 6:30 to come back again. When I called them and asked permit to come in the clinic, receptionist talked me I don't have an appointment and wont allowed me in. I explained that we came in the morning and the receptionist ask us to come back today, the lady didn't listen and very rude. The receptionist extremely no patient and unhelpful. wont' recommend this place.

Please do not choose this clinic. This was horrible experience. We book appointment at 5:30, waited until 7:15 and there were 2 other people ahead of us. The receptionist doesn’t have the manner. She disrespectfully told us β€œif you don’t want to wait, you can go now”.

I will not say that they are not friendly, but there are many ways for them to have a comfortable conversation, but they chose another way. I suggest if it is necessary to go there. All you need to do is double check, even the third check! Repeat what the nurse and doctor said. If they say you need to come back on Wednesday, you need to ask for an appointment, if you need to check the report, and ask when to call. Before you leave, you need to make sure that you can leave. I think the system and training are not complete yet! Today I went to get my report and the nurse is very unacceptable!when I looking for the poster she told me to sit down!without any politeness and I said I don’t wanna sit is that mandatory?she gave me a eye roll and said If I going around the viruses will spread! I DID NOT walking around!!! I wearing mask and keep distance! What the hell she talking about! I really do not understand why the MCI would hire her!!!by the way she is the one who speak Cantonese!

Doctors I've seen (or spoke with via phone through the pandemic) at this clinic have all been wonderful, hence the two stars. But the reception desk is absolutely DREADFUL. She doesn't listen. She cuts you off mid-sentence and doesn't let you talk. She puts you on hold and leaves you there. She's rude and unfriendly. Unfortunate that this is the first point of contact, because it's not very comforting, especially when you're sick, scared, and apprehensive. My clinic closed down and our files got moved here. It's super unfortunate because we never, ever had a problem at our old clinic.

I have been going to this doctor's office over 15 years; unfortunately, I will never go back. The receiptionist is possibly the rudest person I have ever encountered over the phone. Hostile, impatient, not helpful. I tried calling to inquire my medical records, and word-for-word she said "I don't have time to discuss with you". Looking at the reviews, it seems like patients have been complaining about the receiptionist for years, yet, the office clearly hasn't done anything to improve customer service. This is such a shame because I actually like my doctor. Beware of this place.

I have been going to this MCI clinic for over 25 years because my doctor is excellent. However, the front office staff are always rude and unprofessional on the phone and in-person. I wish the office staff would reflect the characteristics of my doctor who is professional, kind and caring.

Front staff were fine to me, but the doctor, Edwin Choi is an absolute pretentious, cold, and condescending doctor. Always has a smirk on his face, doesn’t respond to your questions properly and only says what he feels like saying to you. Walked out the door before I was even done as well, he had no interest in talking to patients. 0 stars if I could, but 1 star is mandatory

Dr. was late for an hour for the appointment. Suppose to fax the referral to specialist but never did until I follow up after 3 weeks on my blood test result. Phone call appointment was 2 hours late. No time management at all. I have been so patient with them. Should improve if someone who can care about other. Receptionist picking up calls is not rude as other reviews mentioned. I understand the staff may be overloaded with works, but patients need to be care. They need to hire a PR.

Dr. Bakshi is a wonderful doctor, but he has been out of the country a lot. At this time we need renewal of our prescription. We are over 80 years of age and can not go to the walk-in clinic and wait 1-2 hours to see a doctor. Our senior building is in lockdown. The pharmacy sent faxes twice to The Doctors Office. We were told they would be forwarded to our doctor by email. So far no reply. We are worried.

Booked an appointment last Friday. I arrived on time. Was told doctor hadn't shown up yet. Waited for an hour and still no doctor. Couldn't wait any longer as I had to go to work. Very unprofessional. Pretty sure they still billed OHIP.

Don’t waste your time. The receptionists are so rude and also the nurses there. I went to do the blood test and the nurse cannot find my blood vessels. And then she blamed on me! They are not professional. Never go there again.

Selfish doctors who are at home, should retire or abandon practice. Too bad they don't have to sign some oath saying they will do they're jobs, because NONE of them are doing they're jobs during this pandemic. Selfish as hell, honestly if you serve hundreds of people and your so scared of covid that your home and giving impersonal phone calls like all GPs, then who are you helping? Nobody.

I've been going to my family doctor there for over ten years and I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. I don't understand why the negative reviews because all of the staff are friendly, helpful, and patient. My kids and I receive excellent care from this clinic, so even after we moved out of Scarborough to Durham, we continue to go there.
