I wanted to really love the food here so much because of how many great reviews they have. Me and my husband were there last night we had reservations for 8pm and were promptly seated once we checked in with the host. We were seated by the door where the food comes out I imagine near the kitchen, at first I was a bit nervous because they were coming out with hit food and very closed to me after they dropped a fork on my foot and a couple of glass of wine I had relaxed more. Our waiter B explained what the specials were for the night and he did a good job taken care of us. We started with the bacon and the tuna tartare and this is why they get two starts only because that was the most decent dishes we had plus the service. We then had their wedge salad which it was just ok, so I figured it’s a salad so let’s move on. I was so excited to try their halibut which it was the special for the night and my husband had the Bone in NY strip, we decided to go that route so we can try different dishes for the side we got the cream of corn and mashed potatoes. So let me start by saying the halibut was very very dry and had no flavor, the steak came out Luke warm which I was very surprised since every steak plate that was coming out was coming out sizzling. A gentleman in a great suit came to our table and ask how was our food I then proceeded to tell him that our food was not hot he then apologize and took the steak plate and I guess they warmed it up for us because then it became too done for us other high end restaurants would have done this different.We then just went with the flow at that point just wanted to finished whatever we could eat and just finished our bottle of wine. The same gentleman came to ask again how was our food and At that point I was already dissatisfied and just said it’s good maybe it was a mistake from me because he should know how Our meal was really going at that point. I was reallly really looking forward to having an amazing and tasty meal but I didn’t get that at all, me and my husband talk on our way home and maybe it was because they were super super busy, so we might give it another try maybe not on a weekend night or possibly lunch. I can’t not express how disappointed I was because we wanted to find another good steakhouse beside Lenny’s in Larchmont.

Such a wonderful dinner at Averna !! Had the porterhouse for two, which was cooked to perfection! Service was excellent. Had dinner at the bar. Era was our bartender and was absolutely awesome. Be sure to have an espresso martini…..Era had an article written about her martini skills!! You won’t be disappointed.

We were very extremely pleased with everything at this restaurant. Initially when I arrived I was getting frustrated with parking but I found spot right away in the back, there is plenty of parking around the restaurant. The service was superb and the food was fantastic. We are definitely going back with friends and family!

This evening had a lovely dining experience at Averna in Rye.. The food was delicious . Far exceeded our expectations..Bes provided great service and recommendations. We really enjoyed The Chilean Sea Bass and Steak .

Best steakhouse in area! Owner Sam greeted everyone like family. Had an amazing rib-eye birthday dinner with my beautiful wife. Deserves a 5 star rating!

THE BEST EXPERIENCE and FOOD!! The food is well worth the price. The quality is amazing and the service is quick. I been here many times and I will always! The mushroom risotto is my favorite but it’s hard to pick from their menu a favorite honestly! I am handicapped and i was well accompanied and treated with respect. I didn’t feel out le place at all. I am vegetarian also they are accommodating to all your needs whatever the ask. IM IN LOVE. I dream about this place and wish it was closer to my home. Fried Burrata is a must get!!

I read the reviews and decided this place would be where I took my husband for our date day. We arrived on time for our 8 pm reservation. Upon arrival we were told it would be a 5 min wait. They were clearly overbooked, and proceeded to tell everybody that walked in with a reservation. It would be a five minute wait. 40 minutes later, we were seated. Upon seating, we ordered drinks appetizers, and our dinner. The drinks came out immediately. It is now 9:45 pm and we are still waiting for dinner to come out. Everyone was so apologetic but at this point the constant apologies were just annoying. Dinner came out, and it was so not worth the wait a $70 steak should be delicious. It had no flavor and no seasoning. The garlic mashed potatoes had so many cloves of garlic in it you could barely see the potatoes. The place is extremely small. You are packed in like a can of sardines. The tables are very close. It’s like a Covid spreader event. It was also very very loud! We will never return here again.

My wife and I just got home from Averna and we’re blown away by the superb quality. Apps were Caesar salad and fried calamari, both were excellent. Dinner was the ribeye with home fries, my wife ordered the chili glazed salmon and both were great. In fact this is the first time in a while that I was totally satisfied with a high end steakhouse. I could smell the aged scent of the steak as they served it, the home fries were crisp with a hint of spice. We split the apple tart and that was great as well. Service was great and the price is less than many other steakhouses that are not nearly as good. This is a treasure

Recently hosted a party at Averna and all my guests raved about the food and service. "This was the most delicious food I've had..." was the predominant comment among our guests. While the Porterhouse is their signature dish and cooked to perfection, the Salmon dell' Carlo was the favorite. Sammy and Nick were superb and Eera was not far behind getting some candids. They took care of every detail. Thank you Sam, Nick and Eera for making this day so special.

Just fantastic! Best food in Westchester/Greenwich area! Definitely the place for a special meal, but great for the everyday. Enjoy!

Let me introduce you to this phenomenal dish at Averna!!!! I discovered this place not too long ago and decided to pass by and sit at the bar one day. I was recommended the Lemon Pepper Shrimp by the staff, and even though I was a little skeptic, it turned out to be amazing. So delicious! Averna is a 10/10 I cannot imagine anyone being disappointed. We needed a place like this in Rye.

Fantastic food and outstanding service in a very continental and impeccably clean establishment. I’ve dined here several times and have never been disappointed. It was most certainly on par with some of the meals that I’ve had in some of the finest restaurants in the country.

Top shelf quality Steak, accompanied with a various selection of other entrees should you not be in the mood for it and very good options for sides. Wine list is nicely put together and you can find some very good bottles to choose from. Attentive staff that takes care of you inside a very nice atmosphere. And lastly, an owner that is very passionate about serving his customers like they are at home. I highly recommend Averna Steakhouse.

I go here almost every Thursday for lunch but I order from the dinner menu. EVERYTHING on the menu is amazingly delicious 🤩. The owner Sammy and his son Nick are always super kind and welcoming, they provide excellent customer service. They create such a family-friendly atmosphere which besides the food, makes you want to go back often. They also have a superb selection of wines. One of the best restaurants in Westchester county- hands-down. I love it here!!!

Absolutely one of the best places! Staff is top notch and welcoming! Delicious blue cheese dressing, crispy onion rings, bacon chunks made for a divine salad! Perfectly cooked and seasoned filet is yummy as are the mashed potatoes!

I have been going to Averna since the day they opened and I can honestly say they serve the best food in Rye. The place is clean, the food is amazing and the drinks are to die for. The waiters are prompt and the hospitality exceeds all my expectations everytime. The waiters and staff are super friendly and attentive. I have a business in town and I bring all my clients and business partners over because I know Averna will never disappoint. I highly recommend Averna for their steaks, their drinks, and their hospitality.

Dinned on Sunday for a family birthday party. Atmosphere was cleaned, modern & beautiful. Staff was attentive & professional. Food & drinks were delicious! Definitely would come back to dine or book a lunch/dinner party!

Went for a get-together, drinks are very good. Sorry no pics. You need to try their pomegranate martini......the best! Prime burger was excellent. Kindof skimpy on the fries...but you know we shouldn't be having deep fried things anyway ( :

My wife and I enjoy this exceptional place. Food is great, service is extremely attentive and accommodating. Perfect for a date night and easy to hear each other, unlike some other area venues. My only grievance tonight was one extremely loud guest at the next table but that’s not the norm here.

Dined here with some friends on a Thursday night. It was much busier than I expected but in a good way. The decor and cleanliness of the place was very appealing. We had the clams, bacon, beef tartare, ribeye steaks, Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, you name it! Everything was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. We ended the night with an amazing espresso martini made by the bartender, Era. The toffee cake was one of the best desserts I’ve ever had. What I loved most about our experience was the attention we received from the owner, Sammy. He makes everyone feel like family, and makes it a point to engage with all of his guests. This is an amazing spot in Rye, NY you can’t miss out on!

One of the best steak houses around. The quality of the meat is the absolute best, the service and wait staff treat you so well. They really make you feel like family. Hats off to Sammy and his staff.

The place is excellent. My group of 11 was taken care of all night. Glasses never went empty and service was top notch. Food was delicious and came out hot and fast. Never felt rushed. Fantastic atmosphere. Can’t recommend this place enough. 5 stars.
