We
ended
up
staying
at
Narcisse
Blanc
by
happy
accident.
A
travel
agent
messed
up
our
dates
at
another
hotel,
and
it
was
unable
to
accommodate
us
for
the
nights
we
actually
needed.
I
have
always
loved
the
SHL
group
of
hotels,
and
NB
did
not
disappoint.
Although
only
one
its
smallest
rooms
were
available,
it
turned
out
to
be
one
of
the
nicest
rooms
we've
stayed
in
in
Paris
(and
we
have
stayed
at
the
Meurice!),
and
reasonably
priced.
It
was
beautifully
appointed,
with
lots
of
closets
and
drawers
for
my
husband
and
me;
the
bathroom
was
spacious
and
also
beautiful.
We
had
a
tall
window
overlooking
a
scenic
courtyard,
which
was
so
quiet
we
could
keep
it
open
all
night.
The
staff,
and
especially
the
concierge,
could
not
have
been
more
welcoming
and
helpful.
The
elegant
restaurant
offered
great
food.
We
did
not
use
the
spa
but
it
looked
stunning
--
and
the
swimming
pool
was
large
enough
to
swim
laps
in
(I
did
not
pack
a
bathing
suit
sadly).
We'd
not
stayed
near
the
Invalides
before
(preferring
somewhere
closer
to
St.
Germain-des-Pres)
but
it
turned
out
to
be
very
central
to
everywhere
we
wanted
to
go,
right
near
the
Seine
and
just
across
the
bridge
from
Place
de
la
Concorde,
and
ready
walking
distance
to
our
favorite
museums
and
cafes.
We
will
definitely
stay
there
the
next
time
we
are
in
Paris.
One
tip/request
for
the
hotel:
In
the
evenings
(before
and
after
dinner)
it
would
be
lovely
if
you
could
place
candles
in
your
bar
area
and
front
room.
They
are
romantic
spaces,
great
to
enjoy
a
cocktail
in,
or
a
digestif
later
in
the
night.
