We’re in manhattan for a biz trip. Booked this hotel for 2 nights. Very clean hotel with updated rooms and amenities. We had breakfast included and the service is great. There is plenty of choices sweet or salty. I like salty and as u can see from picture they have Italian cured meats and cheeses. Definitely a come back for me! Check in and out very fast and efficient. We were on the 5th floor and the noise is not bothering at all. Love the smell of new sheets and bed.

The room and lobby were clean, but the room was tiny. Also, the beds were supposed to be queens, and they were not (double). The staff at LUMA were very friendly and helpful, with one exception (not bad though). The area is super nasty post pandemic, so keep that in mind. Luckily, transportation from Luma was super easy. Walking distance to Grand Central Station, the theatres, Macy's, etc. Surprisingly, the room was not loud and we had no problems getting a good night's sleep.

Great hotel with an amazing vibe. everything was great but one person stood out and made out stay EXCEPTIONAL and that was JONATHAN the bell hop/doorman. His positive attitude and energy was superb. We were out and about int he city close to Central Park and I was standing outside a store waiting on my family and Jonathan saw me and came to say HI. We talked for about 15 minutes while my family shopped. When we were leaving we were confused on which Subway to take back as it was our 1st time. Jonathan not only tells us how to get back but he WALKED US about 1.5 blocks to the steps of the Subway. WOW!!! WHO DOES THAT!! Jonathan, thank you for looking out for my family and being so awesome. Management - Please recognize Jonathan. what he did for us is completely out of his job scope but when hospitality is in your blood you just have it. Dont let him go or I will hire him in a second.

This hotel is chic and modern, with exceptionally helpful staff, beautiful rooms, and great services. Just a few of the high notes: closeness to Bryant Park and major subway lines, Nespresso coffee machine in the room, fast and efficient elevators, modern look throughout the hotel. Highly recommended.

I love when I come to a hotel for the first time and my expectations are exceeded. From check-in to check-out, I literally have not one complaint. The staff at the entry are truly top notch. I felt so welcomed by everyone, and we always received really great, intuitive service. The staff in the bar and restaurant also were great! Dinner and drinks are really delicious, and breakfast was quick and simple but just enough for an on the go. One big draw to this hotel for us was a room with two king beds. We are gonna be spoiled now, thanks to LUMA. It was really nice to be able to travel comfortably in one room with our kids. Mattresses and linens and such were also extremely comfortable, which is very important to me. And my biggest concern going into our stay was the noise level, and it was a dark and quiet as a church mouse in our room, even though Times Square is literally one block away. Absolutely PERFECT! Our room had no view, but that was made clear upon booking and arrival, if that's important to you. I've stayed many places in the city over the years, but LUMA is now my hotel of choice in midtown.

We stayed there for 8 nights, and I can say that from the check-in time to check out, everything was perfect. The staff is super welcoming and helpful. The hotel is very clean, the room was spacious and we had an amazing view on the highest floor. The biggest point goes to the location of this hotel. 2 min from Bryant Park and 5 to Times Square. We've been to NYC many times, but this was the best hotel we stayed in so far. Kudos to the whole team of Luma Hotel.

We found LUMA hotel through their reviews & our stay was better than expected! From the moment we walked in we felt all of the staff were kind & attentive to anything we needed. They also sent up their robot to our room to deliver a gift for our son. Thank you Deborah for that, just so sweet! My son is still talking about it. Roc Steve was so helpful with any questions we had, our bags & doing valet as well! Rooms are clean and well put together, have all the amenities needed! Stay here, proximity is super close to Bryant Park & Times Square!

This hotel is amazing!!! Super super super clean rooms! Lobby was so cozy. Staff was super nice. Especially MIKE who was at the door. From the moment we walked in I felt like royalty. Everything in the room is up to date, all we had to do is push a button for Housekeeping. The view is awesome from the room and the location is so convenient. Literally around the block from Time Square. I will definitely be coming back!

Nice restaurant. Cool vibes in the lounge and a small bar with great drinks. Check-in was easy, and they held bags at check-out. Staff was friendly, and the hotel was clean and quiet for being right in the thick of it.

We went for a mini honeymoon early January. The rooms were spacious, not NYC cramped. The service was exceptional, sending us a complimentary bottle of wine with their robot. Location close to bryant park was great, close walking distance to times square, MSG and broadway. Extra thanks to Saba at the hotel restaurant who was so kind to us, hyping up our honeymoon and taking photos for us. Her bright energy was infectious.

This place is so cozy and amazing! It’s a hidden gem in the city, so close to everything but yet quiet - not on a busy loud street. It’s not huge so dealing with tons of people dining and lobby is not an issue at all. The food / drinks are world class and not over priced. I love this place and stay there every-time I’m in the city. From the doorman who always gets my rides arranged in minutes to the front desk when it comes to being alert, customer service and top notch hospitality LUMA is it. #looknofurther

We spent five nights at LUMA with our 7 year old daughter and had a great time! The location can't be beat - so easy to walk to Aladdin and The Lion King on Broadway, as well as Times Square and Bryant Park. Endless transportation options with multiple subway stations close by as well. The room was extremely quiet (even next to the elevator), and we never heard another guest while in our room. We appreciated having a mini fridge and Nespresso coffee machine with pods included. There is a Whole Foods around the corner, so we grabbed some fruit, yogurts, and milk for breakfast, as well as baby carrots for snacks. We also ate at the restaurant for breakfast one morning, and were impressed with the food quality and variety, which included scrambled eggs (definitely real and not powdered), thick cut bacon, bread, bagels, cheese, deli meats, pastries, croissants, cereal, fruit, yogurt, juice and coffee. Our daughter loved when the robot butler brought extra coffee and shampoo to our room, too. The room also came with a hair dryer, iron, sound machine, shampoo, soap, conditioner, and robes. Staff were very friendly. Thank you for a great stay!

From the location to the extremely friendly service and our beautiful room - our experience was amazing. I left my cell phone behind and they emailed and called to let me know and went out of their way to ensure I got it back. I would highly recommend staying here on your next trip to NY!

We just found the unicorn of hotels in NYC. Clean, modern, convenient, spacious rooms (2 king beds (for real!), plenty of storage space, mini fridge, room to walk around, umbrellas in the room, kid sized robes, decent sized bathroom), quality toiletries, and QUIET! We seriously didn't hear a single siren or horn during our four night stay at LUMA Hotel Times Square. Did I mention Alina the Robot is such a fun and cute way to get room service? And the staff, especially the Valet, are all incredibly welcoming and professional. We will definitely keep LUMA on our list for future trips to the Big Apple. Thank you!

We absolutely loved staying at the LUMA! Our family of five needs two rooms - it was amazing to have a room with two kings! The central location is great, near Bryant park and close to multiple subway lines. We took the bus/train in from LaGuardia, which drops you a block away. Our family loved the hotel, including the restaurant. The staff was fantastic!

Having stayed in other hotels in Manhattan, we were very pleasantly surprised by the Luma. Our room unexpectedly large, quiet and well-appointed. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the location is central to so many things. If you want a great view you may be spending too much time in your room anyway and that’s not why you come to NY. We have gladly recommended this hotel to others whether traveling for business or pleasure.

Excellent little hotel tucked away between Times Square and Bryant Park with a Whole Foods Store round the corner. Felt like an oasis of calm in a very busy area. Staff were lovely and the rooms clean and modern.

Perfect location! And even if it is near Times Square, when you go in the hotel, it does not feel like you are in a busy place..it is quiet, great vibe..It is clean.. The staff are nice and helpful. Oh and they have a white noise machine that you can use! You have the option for self park or valet like the others. We enjoyed our stay! We will surely stay here again. Until next time Luma!

Great hotel and the location is amazing. It does get quite busy but not to crazy. The customer service is great and the rooms are clean. It is smaller then expect but you are near town square so it goes up

Mother and daughter trip! Fantastic location! I was researching extensively and took a chance on this lovely hotel and we were not disappointed! The hotel is clean with a lovely restaurant and bar onsite. We walked everywhere, and we were close to the subway station. We were so close to Times Square but did not feel like it. Steps away from Bryant Park which is lovely. Many get spots close by. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

Our recent stay at Hotel Luma was beyond our expectations. You never really know what you'll be surprised with when visiting NYC, but Luma proved to be extremely hospitable and very attentive. This definitely feels like a 5* star stay and I would say it's underrated even. Check in was seamless, the room was extremely comfortable and well-sized (hard to find in the city), and each day the staff did an incredible job of refreshing the room. We had one small blip with our first room, and the manager immediately called us directly, apologized, fixed the problem, and gave us a handwritten note. She was incredibly genuine and attentive and really cares about the guests. You can tell the team really goes above and beyond and I'm certain anyone would be very happy staying here!

My girlfriends and I looked for a while for the perfect hotel for our weekend in NYC before deciding on Luma. We made the right choice. This hotel is in a great location, walking distance to Bryant Park, Rockefeller Center and Times Square. The suite we stayed in was great; very clean and bright. The service was impeccable. The staff was friendly and made us feel welcome every time we walked through the door. I highly recommend!

Stayed here for 6 nights with family. I can summarize as follow: 1. Nice quiet rooms 2. Comfortable beds 3. Friendly staff 4. Excellent location Just had to remind the staff downstairs to clean the room after we left which was sorted out going forward. Breakfast is just average and expensive. You have loads of options around the block.

I (along with my mom and two kids) was scheduled to stay at LUMA Hotel NYC on December 27, 2022 through December 30, 2022. However, I was also booked on Southwest Airlines to fly into NYC. As most of us know, that is the same week that Southwest Airlines completely fell apart. My mom and I did everything possible to find a way to NYC with no options! We were stuck with absolutely no way to get there. Everyone in NYC was so helpful in cancelling reservations and providing refunds (including Broadway) but Angel Diaz (Front Office Manager) refused to help us out. We were asked to provide proof that our flight was canceled, which we did, only to be told that we would be given a future stay credit that could only be used at the NYC location through June 2023. Unfortunately, we are unable to travel again in that time frame so we will lose $2,065 even though the hotel immediately canceled our room once we reached out as soon as we were informed of our canceled flight! So, the hotel was able to rebook the room AND keep our payment also! I would never book a stay with such greedy people again! We lost $2,065 and they made more than that! Such a shame! **Update since hotel response** The hotel response speaks for itself. This hotel offered a credit for a stay that we can’t use instead of offering any actual help or understanding. 10/10 do NOT recommend this hotel. If you’ll see other reviews then you’ll see that others have rated their customer service poorly also.

Great hotel. Clean and well appointed rooms. Very comfortable. Quiet (only heard our neighbors door a few times). Welcoming and helpful staff. Great location. Best hotel I have stayed in in a long time.

Very nice hotel in the heart of Times Square. Great location. Bryant Park and 42nd Street & Broadway is a block or two away. Staff are super friendly. Hotel is squeaky clean and modern looking. Room was pretty decent size for New York with two large comfortable king size beds. Rate was really cheap, especially for the week before Labor Day weekend. I’ll be back.

The service and the hotel are both awesome. The location is great too. We stayed from May 5 - May 9. The hotel rooms are clean and the bedding is very comfortable. The breakfast on the other hand is a bit of a downer. For 20$ a person, all it is pastries and carbs. They did have a few protein options but we don't eat pork and the veggie omelet "thing" was so eggy and gross. On our first day, every time I'd ask a question or for something, the lady, I think Joyce just grunted and sighed like it was all a bit of a hassle. She made us all feel that way. However, next few days were a delight thanks to Ron. He was amazing and really took care of us and made the not-so great breakfast better!!! I still say you can eat out for cheaper and better local food. Overall, the location, the front desk staff and special shout out to Ron, the stay was amazing! Thank you for making our trip great!!!
