They charge a lot of money for maybe one star accommodations. They also illegally refuse to allow service animals in their rooms and insist on having a license shown prior to even considering an animal which is also illegal. They also want a rental fee for animals if they are forced to take the animals - also illegal. I would give them zero stars if I could. As to the room itself, the fridge leaks and fills up the desk it sits on with water making the desk unusable. The TV does not work except to show static. The tub had two holes in it that were poorly patched. The concrete stairs to the second level had a step that was severely cracked - enough that my ten year old was afraid to step on it. One positive note was that the beds were actually comfortable and the area was generally quiet despite being in a higher crime area.

Extremely rude and room was dirty. Got spider web on me trying to go to bathroom. Was placed in there by DSS and DSS told us we were good until a set date yet the front desk worker was giving my husband and attitude and being extremely rude and telling us we need to pack and get out even though we were given an okay by DSS to stay until the set date. Do NOT trust this place So rude 😡

I never stayed and never will. I made a reservation online for a hotel room as an option and I didn't not stay. I only made the reservation because it said my card will not be charged, only upon check in. I found a better hotel that was closer and tried to cancel the reservation not even a hour after making it but was not able to. It wouldn't let me. Then I get a charge sent to my card for the room anyway. Over $150. The rooms at this hotel aren't even priced for 169.49 online. Everything is fraudulent. I put all my reviews online where I stay and like I said this hotel was an option, I never booked it. The proof is also in the taste level of the other hotels listed on my reviews. I've exhausted all my options in trying to get help from Expedia and the hotel. I have been charged for services never rendered and they say I'm a no show so they charged me. That's ridiculous. They are setting people up on the website. Why would anyone just give away $169. Times are too hard. I've been trying to get this resolved since 8/26 @ 11:30pm, not even an hour after making the reservation.. I just kept getting the run around until the point where now they're saying it's too late for a refund and Expedia says its the hotel's fault. This is ridiculous. I just want wats mine. What ur doing is illegal and I reported this company to the BBB. U cannot charge a person's card without authorization

8 years ago they had me sign a release of liability that I think mentioned murder. Sirens all night, neighborhood kids playing in the parking lot their parents sitting on the stairs. I don't think I saw any other guests or their cars though. At the front desk said they were nearly full! The window was damaged, wouldn't lock. Was going to stay two weeks but I stayed less than a week and then moved into my rental car parked in a Glenville warehouse instead, much quieter. They increased my daily rate from the discounted two-week rate when I decided to get out of there.

Great Authentic food!! Loved the Calamari and Carbonara. Dirty walls and floors though. Bonus....if you get the same ditzy waitperson that we did, one third of your meal is free due to the order taking screw ups.

I just stayed on 09/24/20 I will admit the room was clean and it was quiet also but the cable kept disconnecting and they do not offer continental breakfast not even coffee? So I learned that you cannot go by a company website cause I was curious what a continental breakfast is? Hell even some coffee hits the spot first thing in the morning this was disappointing to me

I've stayed here while attending a weekend convention every September since 2008. I have never had a bad experience; certainly not like some of the ones described by other reviewers here. That being said, perhaps my expectations are lower than most. The place is in a scary neighborhood, yes, but nothing has ever happened while I've stayed there. The room I get (though spartan) is always clean, and suits my needs perfectly. The air conditioning works very well, and I'm always comfortable. The bathroom is immaculate, and the shower has plenty of hot water. The fact that the place may or may not serve breakfast regularly is not a deal breaker. I'm just there to sleep, shower, and be close to the convention hall for the weekend. And for that, I think the America's Best Value Inn has proven a wonderful place to stay each and every year.

Roaches crawled in my face while sleeping. Looked like black mold in bathroom. Receptionist was nice though. And room seemed reasonably clean. The area a bit depressed, but people were friendly. UPDATE: The hotel apologized, and assured me that a pest control person would inspect the room, and that it is not a usual problem. Nice responsiveness.

Let's get started on what they advertise. They advertised free WiFi. We did not get said Free WiFi. The staff was rude, to say the least, and there were bug problems. I'm not sure about the current owners of the property but the old ones were horrid and I hope they were fired and are never able to run a hotel again.

Customer service was very bad and the rate for the night increased drastically than what was online earlier in the day. The floor, staircase and passage was dirty.

As soon as I opened my room door the smell of cigarette and old damp furniture hit me! I had to walk 10 minutes to the Family Dollar to get a bottle of Febreeze, which didn’t help!

I would not recommend this hotel for a long stay. The room wasn’t dirty, but we did find some of the previous occupants garbage that hadn’t been noticed by the cleaning staff. Our fridge didn’t work, the TV was nothing but static, and the ice machine is old and clearly hasn’t worked in years. The AC system was outdated, as well as most everything else. The outlets were loose from the wall. You have to ask for the Wifi password, which constantly kicks you off. Also there was no continental breakfast- as advertised- and the coffee machine in the lobby was broken. The staff was fine and closeness to downtown was favorable, but the area in which the hotel is actually situated was not. It was fine for one night, especially since we spent most of our weekend out of it, but I wouldn’t choose to stay there again.
