We were passing by early in the morning on the road to Hana and we stopped by for a quick look. It was some thing to see the gigantic waves rolling in and the beautiful water. It is definitely worth a stop for a quick look to see some surfers trying their luck out on these huge waves. We are not surfers but I understand this is a very popular spot for surfing on Maui and although it was quite early we could see if there were already a number of surfers heading out.

Stopped to check out the turtles and surfers. Nice beach parking is at a premium.

Great beach to do some surfing or see some sea turtles. Place was pretty busy with surfers at the time. There were about 30 turtles just hanging out. Be respectful and make sure to keep your 10 feet distance. Very cool beach.

Wonderful beach if turtles are on your bucket list. It did not look like a good snorkeling spot, too rough, but great to watch surfers and turtles snooze. There is a wall in place to keep you from harassing the turtles, please be mindful.

This is a fabulous beach to watch sea turtles from a legal distance as well as watching surfers take on the waves. The swell in the winter is the best time to watch because the waves are so big!!! You should not swim here with little children or if you are a poor swimmer. While there is a lifeguard tower to keep beach goers safe do them a favor and stay out if you're unsure about your own swimming skills. It's not worth it for you or them.

Turtles everywhere! Prime location if you want to see some turtles. We were there at around 1 PM and saw around 25 turtles and many were arriving.

We stopped here briefly in the afternoon and we were so excited to see the turtles. There is a viewing place from above the beach so you can get a great view of the turtles without disturbing them. It looked like easy snorkeling because of the way the cove was shaped the waves weren’t crashing on the one side of the beach. Nice shaded picnic area with bathrooms too.

This was one of our favorites to visit as there were probably 30 or so large turtles resting on the beach. If you’ve never seen a sea turtle up close, it is worth doing at least once. The size of these majestic creatures is something that can only be appreciated by seeing them in person. Keep your distance from the turtles.

1/2/2023 and the surf is 6-10 foot with about 12 foot sets. Amazing view where you can take an very easy trail to a huge rock right on the water. Even saw some albino pigeons

Beautiful beach and good surfing. There's a small rock wall to keep turtles away from the tourists so they can chill on their little part of the beach in peace. There are clear signs that say do not go past the sign, and a pretty obvious wall of rocks. And yet there's always those entitled people who still disrespect the island's rules because it's ~their special vacay~ and they just neeeeeed a better picture of a turtle for their Facebook/Instagram. Don't be that person.

Beautiful! Lot of surfers and a place where they do a lot of kite surfing. Beach had lifeguards, so a little more secure. The current is moving here, don't be fooled. Lots of coast line and turtles roaming around. Sat around on the out cropping to the east and soaked up some sun, wind, and surf. Worth the trip. Bring a snorkel! Body surf!

Not the best beach on the island, but the turtles are sooo peaceful and grace.
