Awesome group to go kayaking/whale watching + Snorkeling with! We went in February and saw lots of whales. Our tour guide was Sam - he was excellent and had a lot of history to share about the island. All the photos he took of us during the tour were great. Very friendly, and very straightforward driving instructions to find them on the island.

Did the whale and snorkel kayak tour with Sid. Had a small group which was really awesome (5 of us total including our guide). Such a neat experience! We paddled alongside a whale and her calf, saw a fair amount of whales, and had a great time snorkeling with the fish and turtles!!

Hawaiian Paddle Sports is amazing! Our guide Sam was super knowledgeable and super funny. He got us to our snorkeling spot quickly and we saw about 15-20 turtles in the water. He also got some amazing pictures for us. Then to top it all off, a pod of dolphins came by and we paddled to them quickly to watch them chase some fish around! I would recommend Hawaiian Paddle Sports and Sam to anyone looking for an amazing experience!

The kayak and snorkel tour with Rachel was outstanding! We did light kayaking from the shore to a spot where we anchored and snorkeled with lots of beautiful coral, a variety of fish, and where we saw at least 4 sea turtles. Our guide was so knowledgeable and gave us a great summary of Hawaiian history and language, as well as the different sea creatures that we may see while in the water. Really fun and amazing experience!

My husband & I had a great time! We wanted to try out an outrigger canoe and we are so glad we did. Sam, our guide, was super nice and helpful. He took our group right to the turtle cleaning station where we enjoyed watching the turtles! Sam did a great job helping the two children on our canoe trip with snorkeling in the ocean. I definitely would re-book this trip!

We had an awesome kayak tour with Sam. Our group of 3 started out saying that we only wanted to kayak, no snorkeling, but we ended up with everyone in the water snorkeling happily. This was all due to Sam's focus on safety, knowledge, and assurance that we would be able to get back into the kayaks after swimming. Sam has tons of info, and is lots of fun too!! We would highly recommend, for people of all ages!!

What a great experience with Tim! He is highly knowledgeable about all things Hawaii. We learned about some sea creatures and even learned some Hawaiian language. Tim helped us find some pretty interesting sea life while we were in the water and he even helped some us back into the kayak at the end of our time snorkeling. We were a group of 15 ranging in age from 5 to 67 years. Tim was patient with us all, great with the kids who tired easily. He provided snacks and water for anyone who needed them too. I highly recommend this company and look forward to kayaking and snorkeling with them on our next trip to Maui.

My family and I loved our time surfing with Ryan! All of us were able to stand up and surf after only a few goes because of his great teaching style and little pushes to get us going. Highly recommended as to beginners and others that’s have never surfed either.

I did my third snorkel/kayaking tour today with Hawaiian Paddle Sports. Every time we do a tour everyone says it’s one of their favorite Maui memory and today was no exception. We love these tours!! The guides and friendly and knowledgeable. The snorkeling spots are always loaded with turtles and fish. I love that they even pack water and a snack for you. Book one, you’ll love it!!

We had a fantastic time kayaking and snorkeling with our guide, Oliver! In addition to the expected safety information and local facts, he shared educational information about the fish and coral we would likely see and some information about the evolution of the Hawaiian language and culture and how that related to our treatment of the ocean that were very interesting and impactful. Our family was planning just to have fun and make memories, and we were delighted that Oliver took beautiful photos with his underwater camera and shared them with us afterward free of charge. Highly recommend!

My son and I went canoe surfing with Tim today and had an amazing time. Tim was awesome. He is super knowledgeable a good teacher. He did a great job of making sure my son was safe and comfortable. We caught so many sick waves today. It was a day I will always remember with my son....... Priceless. I highly recommend Tim and Hawaiian Paddle Sports.

Our family had a terrific kayaking/snorkeling excursion. Kris, our guide, was knowledgeable, attentive, caring and went out of their way to make sure everyone had a great experience, including greeting everyone in our group by their first name as they arrived at the meeting spot. When our 9 year old was experiencing some fitment issues with his snorkel, Kris took the time to make all the needed adjustments and made sure he was good, allowing my wife and I to continue snorkeling. Kris was also in the water with the group the whole time, pointing out and describing the variety of fish that were present, and taking pictures of all of us. The whole experience just had this genuine and sincere vibe, unlike other tours we took on our trip, which apparently seem to think Maui's over-saturation of tourism makes it unnecessary to put in that extra effort. If we're ever in Maui again, Hawaiian Paddle Sports will be on our itinerary for sure.

Oliver was an amazing guide! He was very knowledgeable & accommodating throughout the entire tour. We got to see green sea turtles (including an enormous male), snowflake moray eels, bright red pencil urchins, & too many fish species to name. I was unprepared and didn't bring contact lenses but thanks to the natural magnification of the water I was able to see a lot more than I thought I would be able to. If you wear glasses like me, I highly recommend you wear contact lenses or rent some prescription goggles before going on this tour (the tour group didn't have any, but they're niche & expensive so I didn't expect them to). We had a blast exploring Makena Bay & I would highly recommend this tour group to anyone looking to kayak & snorkel on Maui! :)

Our guide Lowe was amazing. This was my first time snorkeling and I was quite hesitant since I have a fear of water, but Lowe explained everything that we would be doing & what we would be seeing. She assured my granddaughter that we would be safe. Lowe was very calming & patient. She stayed by me until I felt comfortable enough to venture a bit on my own. We all had an enjoyable time and the pictures were amazing. I would highly recommend Hawaiian Paddle Sports and if you are lucky enough to have Lowe as your guide you will not be disappointed. Thanks again Lowe - I couldn't have done it without you!

My kayak / snorkel trip with Oliver was fantastic! He was extremely knowledgeable about Maui, kayaking, snorkeling, and aquatic life. He made everything seem easy and I always felt safe. He also took and shared really AMAZING photos (added a few below). If you’re looking for an amazing kayaking and snorkeling experience then look no further. I also couldn’t ask for a tour guide better than Oliver. 10/10

I loved the snorkel / kayak trip so much that I booked another tour while in Maui! Curtis was truly phenomenal! He was extremely knowledgeable, flexible, kind, and made everyone feel at ease and safe. He took us kayaking a bit longer as that was what our group was interested in. We were also lucky enough to see a bonus animal (octopus), but only because Curtis understands relationships among aquatic animals. He is a truly wonderful and gifted guide! Please take tours from them!! Attached are some photos Curtis took and shared.

We had a fabulous trip with Rachel February 21. She was amazing in sharing Hawaiian culture and language. We learned about the background of the Outrigger. We had a great experience seeing a female and her calf breaching multiple times with the momma whale on her back flapping her fins as if she was clapping for her baby’s efforts. The whole experience of learning how to paddle, moving that big canoe Into and out of the water, learning some Hawaiian words and culture was amazing. Rachel did a great job providing us with this great experience and adventure. 3 of us were over 75 but we could still enjoy every part of the adventure.

We had a fantastic kayak and snorkelling adventure. Our guide, Mikaela Blando, was fun and knowledgeable. She helped everyone have a great time and took us to some fun snorkelling spots. She also took some great photos of us snorkelling which are now treasured memories.

Fantastic experience for our two teenage sons (and myself). Greg was an excellent instructor, broke down everything, and gave us the basics to make it an enjoyable time. The photos we received from our lesson were an added surprise. A couple of the photos will be sent to Costco to have mounted for our wall back home !!! They are that good. The water was great, the waves were the perfect size, and my boys found a new hobby. Thank you!!
