A lot of the negative reviews here are about the wait time, so I came in at 7am to ensure I’d be seen by someone. They didn’t even triage me, made me wait outside because I sounded and looked sick, even though I told them I tested negative for COVID. Obviously covid wasn’t a concern because they never tested me. In fact, I was never even SEEN by any medical professional. A doctor called me and asked about my symptoms, and “prescribed” me all OTC medications that I already told him haven’t been working for me for the past 3 days. We talked about medication to treat certain symptoms and he never sent them through. So I had to call the clinic 4 times to try to get the right meds sent, each time they promised a nurse would call me. Each time I waited 2-3 hours for a response until deciding to call back. During my last call, whatever receptionist I spoke to was absolutely awful to me. She had no sympathy for my condition and was outwardly so rude to me while I was clearly sick and desperate for help on the line with her. Please don’t go here if you are sick and need care. They will waste your time and treat you terribly. I wish I knew names but they literally set up my experience to have the least amount of contact with anyone in this facility. And they had plenty of time to treat me properly because as I said, I got there very early and they didn’t even have a chance to get too busy yet. DO NOT GO HERE.

The two stars are for the great service provided at the front desk and when I got my vitals taken. The wait time is awful. No updates provided. When I asked one of the nurses about how much longer, he just kept shrugging at me like that’s a viable answer. He gave me some stupid answer so I would stop asking him questions. He acted like my questions were such a bother to him. Real professional. The situational awareness is very poor. I wish there was a closer urgent care to Hickam AFB that the nurse advice line would have provided.

Overall, I had an outstanding visit and would surely come here again for my healthcare needs. I came here today for a sore throat. I had to wait outside in the tent for a couple of hours, then finally I got my nose swabbed and was told to go to the pharmacy. Then another hour waiting at the pharmacy for my meds. I didn't mind waiting. I already couldn't go to work since I was sick, so it wasn't a huge inconvenience to wait. I wasn't in an "urgent" situation. I know a lot of people are in a hurry and want faster service, but for me, I have never really had an issue with my military healthcare. I am proud to serve my country and grateful for the free, quality healthcare that I receive. Before, I worked at a hospital in the emergency room, and I promise, many emergency rooms experience even longer wait times than the military hospitals. I guess the reason military folks complain is because they don't have any choice. They have to enroll into Tricare and are supposed to use the on-base facilities as much as possible. Personally, I would rather have a fellow military servicemember providing my healthcare than some private company which may put their profits over my healthcare. To the employees at the Desmond T. Doss Healthcare Clinic, thank you for your service and thank you for providing me with care today.

I called the Nurse Advise Line (NAL) for my daughter and they advised taking her to the urgent care clinic for her bladder pain. We got there on a Monday afternoon and got called back by a nurse within 15 minutes. They performed some tests, we saw a doc, and we were out about an hour later. Very fast and friendly service

The one star is for the great service I recieved at the front desk (woman with the red hair) and the young man who took my vitals… other than that, ABSOLUTELY NOT. I read the poor reviews before coming here, but I felt that my needs were very quick and simple. I had been to my primary care provider twice within two months for an ongoing health concern that we could not rectify. Due to being off work today and her not having any available appointments, I came to urgent care. The way I was treated by the doctor was uncalled for! He came in, did not introduce himself, dismissed my concerns, and made me feel like I was lying about my condition/ trying to obtain medications. He took a brief look at me, made his assumptions, and denied care. Everything I said, he questioned. I have never seen such lazy and rude bedside manner before.

Not sure if there is no staff. 3 to 4 hours for a whole week is unacceptable then if you ask why you get just have seat. If you're not staffed just say so. I came in waited for over an hour just to get vitals and watch staff asking they were medicated. I have worked in this field these people need another job or supervisor. Shameful.

Upset! I should just called the advice nurse! They didn't even checked my keiki vitals. The doctor called, me while I sat there in the lobby, gave her Sudafed, and that was it! The whole place was empty too I guess we wasn't important enough to care! Only one I interact with was the front desk person, at least she care and the pharmacy! Maybe because we was part Hawaiian!

I have come to this urgent care because it is closest to my job. My last two experiences here were absolutely horrible. A few months ago in June I came in because while walking I felt and heard something snap/pop in the calf. The pain went from 0 to 10 immediately. I was seen by Dr. Dan Kwok and he treated me as if I was faking this injury. There was a complete disregard for what I was experiencing. I left that urgent care and had to go to a civilian ER where immediately the doctor was concerned about a possible blood clot being the reason which she explained to me could be very serious and dangerous. I was treated with much care and concern at this civilian doctor. Last week my supervisor saw that I was sick and its something that seems to be chronic as it happens quite often. My supervisor told me to go to urgent care and I did. Even the nurse who saw me first said "I can clearly see that you are sick." Once again I was seen by Dr. Dan Kwok and once again he was awful. The way he spoke to me and even looked at me was incredulous to say the least and I spoke up about the way he was staring at me and he laughed it off. He had an attitude of "well what do you want me to do about it?" how about... Your job. Went to google after my appointment and the reviews line up with the exact treatment I received. I would rather drive 2 hours to a different urgent care facility if need be than to ever come here again.

I must say that after reading most of the reviews I was skeptical about coming here but I did. I arrived at 0945 and was sent out to the tent at 1000 to wait for the physician to call which was not long. I received the call around 1009. After speaking with him I was called back and given an injection for my sciatic nerve pain and a prescription for my sinus infection. All of the staff was very professional and helpful. This is a plus because as nurse you watch everything especially how the patients are being treated, great job team, keep up the good work because you never know who's going to be coming through your doors.

I called the nurse advice line, over the phone I was advised to be seen here within the 24 hours of my call. The nurse at the urgent care with the last name Anderson took me in today, took my vitals, but she was lecturing me for not having a regular doctor. In her own words she said, “You have two babies, you’re not going to wait to die to see a doctor”, having said that, she continued to argue with me that I am wrong for not having a doctor and made a big deal about it.
