Aloha everyone! I have now eaten here enough times to finally post a review! Had lunch for take out from here today. BBQ Cheeseburger and onion rings! The BBQ Cheeseburger comes with a thick homemade patty, slice of American Cheese, two lettuce leaves with mayo and a Sweet Sauce (close to teriyaki tasting). The Cheeseburger was good. Very filling. I can’t comment on the lettuce- I always kick mine out but for all of you reading and for a pic i left it for today. Lol. The onion rings are done in a tempura style. I normally don’t care for my onion rings done that way, not because I don’t like it, quite the opposite actually, its just alot of places mess it up. Batter is too thick and bland tasting. Not crispy enough. Light colored. And OILY!! But here at Tanya’s, I feel is done right. Crispy and Brown. Not too oily. I would like to mention though that tempura is eaten hot, very warm at the least. I only live 5 minutes away from my home from Tanya’s so i eat them right away, however, if you plan on getting the onion rings and perhaps are eating it a distance away like a beach or park (traveling in a car with a/c) I can’t vouch for the taste - eating as you go might be better! They also have specials available. Changes daily. Do call and ask. I was able to try their “Beef Macaroni” special once and I loved it! (Sorry I don’t have a pic!) although it’s a “macaroni” mine was a penne pasta noodle instead which I LOVE so no complaints here. Did they run out of macaroni noodles? Im not sure but I was happy! The sauce is sweet with a savory flavor. There was ground beef, it was minimal, but it was fine because I prefer more pasta than beef, but if your the opposite, just ask them to scoop from the bottom of the pot! Im not a huge pie person, but out of 3 establishments on entire island I rank Tanya’s #3 the Chocolate Cream Pie is worth trying! Hope this helps you, and as always, please support our Local Businesses! Mahalo for reading this long review! Update: 05/16/2023 Chocolate Cream Pie worth driving for. BBQ cheeseburger was still very tasty and onion rings were still very good 👍

Great mom/pop local stop for breakfast. You can do breakfast, brunch food, lunch food. There’s quite a variety of options to select from. It is a small place and can get busy pending the time of the day that you go. High recommend.

This is a great breakfast option if you find yourself in Wahiawa. Reasonably priced, good portions, and great taste.

Absolutely MASSIVE meals for how much you pay! A rarity in today’s world! My plate had 5 Bacon, 4 link sausages, two eggs, and a mountain of fried rice (usually cost extra at other places!) for $13.50 . My wifes plate (top in picture) was only $8.75! Food was delicious (with plenty to take home) and of course we still have to make room for their fresh pies!! A great discovery for us local folks!

I always get the French toast platter, which comes with two eggs, your choice of meat (I always get spam), and 3 French toasts. I ask for my eggs over medium, and they always come out perfect. They have ketchup and hot sauce. I also order a coffee that comes with free refills. They have cream and sugar. I also buy the hot dog in a roll and a pie slice for lunch. Everything is so Ono! Anything you get is delicious! I also love that they open at 5 am.

Came here for the first time last week on Monday. Lady who took my order, said okay, then went back to the kitchen to cook left me standing at the counter. While waiting, about 4 people came and went meaning order and pay and I'm still waiting. Everyone in front of me did the same. I had to ask to pay... Food came out quick. I went for the pie first because who doesn't love chocolate cream pie while in Wahiawa in the morning? It's a vibe. The quality of perishable pies needs to be checked on Monday. Now that I'm thinking about it, that same pie is on the menu every day. With that said, quality should be checked regularly. Our chocolate cream slices were sitting on the counter, for I dont know how long in a hot kitchen? The crust tasted old and filling room temperature warm...it's supposed to be cold. Even hubs said it's no good. Dude loves anything chocolate.

Go here for breakfast. It's fast and the food is beyond expectations for the price. Cash only though so be prepared. Interested in trying the lunch menu now

Do you remember Sunny Side? Well the baker who worked there opened a new place. It’s not quite the same but similar. The old style crust was flakey and had more filling.

There is a lot of parking and believe me they need it. Very busy due to the delicious food and ddesserts they have to offer. We ordered corned beef has breakfasts, a teriyaki Mahi Mahi plate and an apple pie. The corned beef hash was awesome. Recently when I have ordered this at other establishments, you basically are getting a fried mashed potato patty. At Tanya's the corned beef hash is substantive and ono. My dad is a picky and I mean pick 94 year old eater. He devoted his Teriyaki Mahi plate which put a smile on my face. He's one that's usually hard to please, yet he ate it with relish and then had a piece of pie which was melt it you mouth good, the crust was perfect. I hardly get out to Wahiawa, but next time I'm there I'm visiting Tanya's again for sure. Staff is friendly and patient while your trying to decide. Love that you can get breakfast all day as well.
