Po'ai is a new shop that opened this month. This shop is tucked away in the upper part of Chinatown, which makes this the perfect mid-day hide away or a nice spot for a meeting. The delicious espresso drinks and lemonade showcase the shop's locally make syrups. These syrups can be purchased at the store, online, or at the Lokahi Market on Sunday's. The syrups are not overly sweet and full of flavor. They can be used to make cocktails, mocktails, desserts, and added to anything thing else you can image. Po'ai does serve pastries and bites to eat. Pastries are made by Ulu and Kalo Bakery. Additionally, you can stop by to do some shopping or pick up a gift as they have items made by local artisans. If you are familiar with the Lokahi Market in Kailua, the you be familiar with the items in the store. Po'ai feels like the Lokahi Market in downtown.

A beautiful coffeeshop loaded with charming decorations and locally made products from jewelery to candles to syrups and mac nut butters! I enjoyed my iced Aloha tower coffee which had a pleasant fruitiness and wasn't too sweet. It's just such a cozy spot- good place to work for a bit, get caffeinated, and splurge on some locally made high quality gifts :)

Stopped by on a Saturday morning. Friendly staff and nice decor/ambiance. We got the maddie for matcha and hapa honey, both were amazing! Only downside is the parking but it's worth the struggle.

Excellent lattes. Hapa Honey, so good. Aloha Tower, very tasty and I don't usually like hot oat milk. Muffins are solid. Plus has cute stuff for sale. Yes you should make a stop, 100% worth a visit.

Really great place. Slightly too cold and I feel like the seating should be a bit more cozy. Would be nice to sit on lauhala with some pillows. ʻawa would be good too.

Very chill coffee shop along a quiet street in Honolulu. Menu is solid. Some outdoor seating too.

Highly recommend the hapa honey. My favorite coffee shop in town. This place has really nice espresso and matcha drinks – if you’re willing to pay $1-2 more for a nice coffee experience, this is for you. The drinks highlight ways to incorporate syrups that they make and sell in house, so if you really like a drink you can buy a pono potion and go home and try to make it yourself.

Good vibes and tasty drinks ☕️ We had the Pauahi and the Kalihi Cacao. Pay for the parking and stay awhile to soak up the shop, lots to see.

The vibe of this coffee shop was really cool! The decor and music were excellent for sitting and chatting and studying. I did wish there were more comfortable chairs and more outlets, since we were only able to find one outlet by a table. All the staff were very friendly offering reccomendations and chatting. I ordered the Kalihi Cacao, which did have chocolate and sea salt notes but I wished there was more caramel. The muffins were really delicious but they were quite small for the price ($5 for 1/2 bites). Will definitely consider returning here!

The coffee shop was pretty good. We loved the ambiance and their specialty coffee's. They do have guest wifi and indoor seating if you want to work or have conversations! We tried lavender latte with banana bread! Would definitely recommend checking out this place if you are a coffee lover!

I really love this coffee place. I usually grab latte or cappuccino but at this place I wanted to experiment and try different coffees. What I personally love is that they are not loaded with sugar but so reach in taste. Plus place is so cute and artsy, very cozy and nice to sit in! Bravo!

This coffee was my favorite spot in Hawaii. I went there only twice during mu vacation only because I was busy doing activities otherwise I would have been there almost every day.

This is my favorite coffee shop ever! They make the best coffee and It makes me wanna go there more. They are very friendly and even make the most natural coffee made from the syrup. They have some great accessories as well, paintings and they feature hawaiian culture as well. :))

PO'AI is a must visit in Chinatown! Love the ambiance, local product assortment, and beverages. All of their beverages feature Pono Potions' all-natural and locally crafted syrups - you can even buy their syrups to take a shot at crafting your own cocktails / lattes at home! 11/10!
