I cannot recommend at all! Disrespectful and rude employees! There are definitely better places where you can have a good time in Antwerp with good service! Even one star is too much!

Cannot recommend the hostel. The location is great, but everything is very old, kinda dirty and oftentimes the soap was empty in the bathroom and beds aren’t comfortable. I have check out one night earlier and the guy at the reception told me he will accept a request for a refund for the last night, but haven’t gotten any money back ! Also they say they have 24/7 reception, but reception was closed in the morning when I wanted to check out. No chance to get even the deposit for the key card back!!

Great location! A good breakfast for free:) To sum up, in terms of facilities it is a below average one! Any movements of the people from the upper floor creates huge noise due to the wooden ceiling! The rooms and the toilets are not cleaned properly, the bed was very noisy and uncomfortable, from my room I could hear people talking in the common area and even in other rooms loudly enough (I couldn’t sleep and stayed awake at night for 2hrs or so after 12:00 due to these noise), one needs to go one or more floors to reach the shower as the shower rooms are only on the third floor and so on..

The place is very well located in the city center of Antwerp. It has many sight seeing, as well as bus stop & tramp stop within walking distance. It's a perfect place to party and has a great vibe. Many restaurants and cafe's are located in the vicinity. Prices of the hostel is also reasonable. They also provide lockers for your luggage. The downside of the hostel was the quality of the bed and the washroom & bathrooms were little bit stinky. Also, there was party just outside the hostel till late night which made little difficult to sleep.

Cheaters and scam star hostel… The Lady at reception (probably owner) charged me 5 Euros as card deposit and when I checked out they pretended to refund those 5 Euros however they again charge me 5 Euros instead the Refund. So in total they overcharged 10 Euros. If you are staying there beware of this scam.

The next problem is the the toilet, you have to share one toilet with the entire floor, so with 4 bedrooms. And don’t expect to have a big locker or free towels. The only upside about this place is the location, is pretty fare away from the train station, but in the center of the old downtown. A great alternative is the Yust Antwerpen hostel/hotel, there you can get a perfect hostel bed for 30€, which is 10 out of 10.

I recently stayed at Antwerp City Hostel with a group of 6, and my experience was far from satisfactory. The noise from the connected nightclub on the ground floor made it impossible to sleep, extending well beyond 4 AM. The lack of basic hygiene in the rooms and bathrooms was disappointing. Customer service was nonexistent - promises of refunds were made, but the owner failed to respond. Additionally, discrepancies in charges and the absence of a €30 refund further marred our stay. I stayed for 6 days and for me everything was very good. The staff is friendly and helpful, cleaning is done every day, good cleanliness. Showers clean and hot. Located at the Grote Markt, it is as central as it can get which is good and bad: you can walk everywhere, but if there is a party or anything going on it’s very noisy. A lot of rooms in the hostel (like bedroom in the attic, bathrooms etc) smell very damp and old Beds are laid through, very uncomfortable and wrapped in plastic which makes quite a bit of noise. On top of that my room in the attic was very cold since the radiators didn’t seem to work. The bathroom also left up a lot for imagination: only about 50% of the faucets were working, the showers as well as the toilets were old and a bit grim, overall not too clean either. Breakfast was limited in the selection but was alright since it was included in the price. Would not stay here again, staff was friendly though.

Has the bare minimum but I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend to anyone. The room smelled of melted plastic & seemed to be themed for children. Very few toilets available, lots of outside noise & small lockers for personal items. I didn’t feel particularly safe within the hostel, despite the keycard system and I’m glad I ended up with a lovely group of roommates because otherwise I would have left & looked for other accommodation.

This was very good stay right next to the famous Grote Market and Infront of the cathedral and close to many attractions. It is about a kilometer from the central station and can go to any attraction from here on foot. The building itself is very old from outside but completely different from inside. It's a good stay and my choice of stay for next time.

Pretty cheap, which is fair because it is a bare minimum hostel. Cheap and flimsy bunk beds and large communal bathrooms. A couple annoying things happened during our two night stay. Check out was at 11am and we were probably on course to be leaving at 11:05, when some employee came in the room and started shooing us out the door. I've never had that happen before and was quite annoying. Also, our key cards randomly stopped working one night at around midnight and we had to call someone to come fix them since they do not have 24/7 reception. When the employee arrived, they didn't even apologize for the inconvenience or anything, and simply looked annoyed that they had to be there.

- Just 1 toilet per floor. - Only 3 out of 7 sinks worked. - There was no breakfast due to a power shortage and they didn’t offer a discount or a voucher to go somewhere else because it’s a “free” breakfast; but that’s not right because despite they say it’s “free” you’re paying for it when paying the whole price (as it works everywhere). Specifically booked a 5 bed mixed dorm (5th floor) in their website as they don't have bunk beds. On check-in I was assigned a 4th floor higher density room with bunk beds. No apologies or recognition from the receptionist that they can't deliver the booking I made. Clean toilets. Mattresses are covered with a plastic sheet which makes them non breathable. 20 minutes walk from train station and flix bus stop.

At that point I've already started to get some weird "allergy" on my hands, but I didn't pay much attention to it. I realized what that was the next day, after the check out. Cause this "allergy" appeared also on my back, on my shoulder and my legs. I was actually bitten by bedbugs!!! I've informed the hostel about them but didn't get any reply (yet). Now I'm praying that I didn't bring these little pests home in my luggage. I've been to a lot of hostels around Europe, but this one is by far worst one. UPDATE: I accidentally found out that I paid for this hostel twice. I was debited right after my reservation AND was asked to pay again upon my arrival to the hostel. After a few exchanges with the hostel, they paid me back, saying "everybody makes mistakes". I was lucky to check my bank account... I also asked for a full refund because of the bugs bites, but this demand was refused. They offered me "a free stay on my next visit" which is laughable cause I'll never stay in this again.

Gute Lage, aber wer wert auf Sauberkeit legt und genügend Waschbecken, die funktionieren, ist hier nicht gut aufgehoben. Achso und fast vergessen, wer wert auf erholsamen Schlaf legt, sollte es meiden! Die Wände sind dünn und direkt unter dem Hostel ist ein Club, der bis 4 Uhr so laut Musik spielt, dass man kaum schlafen kann. Man spürt den Bass und Ohrstöpsel helfen auch nichts.
