One of the nicest hostel i have visited so far. Owner Greg was extremely warm and welcoming. He made us the homemade bread. We also tasted hostel's brewed beer. Hostel was super neat and clean, common area was big and nice with loads of games.I met wonderful fellow travelers as well. I would highly recommend this place for to the people travelling to Antwerp.

Great hostel, lovely atmosphere, clean rooms and awesome people!!! Everything I wished for!!! Fresh baked bread in the morning, beers in the evening... City centre is about 10 minutes walk, so the hostel is in a calm area which is just perfect... I'll definitely come back again!!!!

100% the best hostel I have ever stayed at. The staff are wonderful and make an effort to make you feel comfortable, but will give you space if that is what you are looking for. Very easy to meet people, everybody sort of hangs out together (if you want!) Everything is clean and the kitchen is very nice. Very good free breakfast every morning. Lots to do in the hostel (games, movies). And the courtyard is incredible (hammocks!). Location isn't too far of a walk to the old town. Definitely going back!!! Been gone only a few days and I miss it a lot. A home away from home for sure.

Do not stay here. Had an issue with booking and contacted them immediately after the booking to reschedule. They issued a 1st night stay even after rebooking. They also took over 24 hours to respond. Complete lack of customer service and very rude through emails.

Fantastic accommodation with great social scene for partying or just meeting new travelers. The male owner is an absolute nut-job and not friendly whatsoever, but his wife is a lot friendlier. He yelled at the workers and demeaned them in front of all the guests and made for a very uncomfortable mood. Aside from that, it’s in a good and safe location. Would come back, but just avoid the lunatic owner.

Went to Tomorrowland 2019 this year and i needed a cool not expensive place to stay in Antwerpen for few days So i can regain my strenght and this place is one of a kind!!! People who come here are from different countries yet everyone is So friendly especialy the owners and the staff. There is a bar, kitchen, huge living room, smoking area outside, showers and like 50 outlets in every room to recharge any device you have. Rest areas chill zones tv zones, this place is trully worth 5/5 stars. If you need to chill out after concerts etc. or just want to meet new people i Highly recomand this place for anyone and everyone. Next Tomorrowland 2020 i am staying here for sure :)

One of the best hostels I have ever stayed at. This place is hard to find from the outside but the directions were clear. When we arrived, the people gave us so great information and the atmosphere was very friendly. Our bed had plugs and lights and the showers were hot. The kitchen was large, spacious and well equipped. They had so many delicious beers at their bar (just the kitchen) including a house beer. People were so friendly including the staff. Everybody hung out with everyone else, people would make food and share it and the WiFi was awesome. We will be back if we can swing it in the future.

This is the best hostel I've been. The rooms are big and spacious and there is also a fully equipped kitchen where you can cook your dinner and share it with other guests. Moreover, it is a really clean hostel. Here, even if you travel alone you'll feel at home. Every guest is a friend and you'll meet so many interesting and friendly people.

Great friendly hostel, we stayed in room 8 which was really clean with chalk boards on the walls which was a nice touch. They have hammocks outside which is great to chill during the daytime. The bar was cheap however the food selection wasn’t the most extensive. Overall great experience and friendly staff (just don’t be too noisy too late at night.)

Of all my travels by far the greatest hostel I have stayed. Staff are so helpful, nice and knowledgeable about local bars, attractions. Great atmosphere, very comfortable and clean. Free hot breakfast, homemade bread and a house beer. Very good experience.

Utterly amazing place to stay! Fillled to the brim with quirky character, the aesthetic screams eclecticism to it's core, my spouse and I are already planning to return for another weekend when we can. Breakfasts were a wonderfully cozy affair and the home-made bread is delicious - the warning on the fridge that speculoos spread can be addictive is certainly true when paired with the freshly toasted wholegrain! Gert and Bridget were fantastic hosts, it felt simultaneously like being at home, whilst honestly wishing it was my home and they love sharing a good story over a beer. Combined with a very short walk to the nearest tram line and only being two stops from Centraal Station, it's really on the doorstep to the city. Finally, if you're interested in making your own home more eco-friendly and economical with regards to heating and water consumption without sacrificing comfort, definitely have a chat with Gert - he is really on-point with the steps he's taken and a pleasure to talk to!

I stayed at this hostel quite a while ago and totally forgot to leave a review. Not only the best hostel in Antwerp, but if you're backpacking it will definitely be in your top hostels of your trip. All staff are excellent and the atmosphere is super social and easy. 100% recommended!

Amazing staff. Amazing atmosphere. Amazing hostel. Everything was perfect, owner was attentive and interesting, beds were comfy and the breakfast provided was brilliant. Pancakes and all! Only bad thing would be lack of plugs in dorm room upstairs but understandable because of the amount of beds.

By far the best hostel I've stayed in. The space itself was very inviting and clean (not to mention secure) with a communal kitchen and laundry for guests to use. Big, spacious rooms and incredibly clean showers/bathrooms. The staff here are excellent and happy to give guests ideas of places to explore. Although this hostel is a little bit further from the centre, it was nice being away from the noise and getting to see the less touristy parts of Antwerp. If you can, stay here!

A fantastic hostel on the outer edge of the main city (with easy transport to the station and old town). Clean rooms, bathroom and a beer selection curated better than many pubs (with a converted juice/beer machine for extra fun). The fresh bread for breakfast is absolutely brilliant as well. Really friendly crowd between the owners, staff and other guests, have really enjoyed my stay here!

Best Hostel I have ever stayed at. It’s close to the tram. The owners and staff are super friendly. I liked that the hostel is not too big so it’s easy to get to know the other guests over breakfast, happy hour or any time in between...

Rooms and the beds were fine, although our room had no windows to the outside. There always was something to do and both the staff and the other guests made sure the visit was not a boring one.

Incredible place to stay, especially if you are a solo traveler. I met 4 people in the hostel who were all solo travelers, as well as a couple of couples who were backpacking throughout Europe too. I was initially nervous because I’d heard that the neighborhood around the hostel wasn’t necessarily the best, but I felt safe and secure when walking around the area, even in the evening. There’s a train/tram station (de Roma) about a 2 minute walk from the hostel along some open and well lit roads. I only ever took the 24 (Silsburg - Melkmarkt), but buses and other trams came through frequently. Passes are rather cheap, but they also never checked tickets while I was on them, so it’s a gamble you can look to take if you want (not encouraging it, but the first fine is €0). In the hostel, the large multi-bed dorms are fantastic. Several of the people I became good friends with were in the room & all in the same situation as me. This is by far the most friendly & welcoming environment of any hostel in which I’ve stayed. They have breakfast available in the morning from 08:00 to 10:00, along with bread that the owner makes himself, and then there’s a bar where everyone hangs around and chats for hours (in addition to the bread, one of the selections of beers they have is brewed by the owner, too!). I wish that I could take this Hostel & it’s environment to every location I travel. It’s wonderful & well worth any of the concerns that you may have. I’m not sure if it’s possible for other people to reply to comments on Google reviews, but if you have any questions about it & are able to reply to this, I’ll answer them!

David was the best host i had ever encountered. I went to ab hostel with two of my friends and we enjoyed our time over there. Its the best place to stay in Antwerp specially for the young people like us. Rooms living room was lit af and the ambience and atmosphere of the hostel was the best to ne found in any hostels. Breakfast was amazing! Very comfortable, cosy and friendly atmosphere. There is a common room with a big table for socialising and then a couch and smaller tables and chairs if you prefer alone time. As well as a small couch upstairs with free movies! The staff are very helpful and welcoming. Everything gets cleaned well and you can tell the owner really invests energy into making sure everything is up to standard, it really makes a difference! The rooms have lockers and there is the vibe that everyone knows everyone so you feel safe and not just anybody can walk in off the street, there is a code at the front door you use to get in, so you hope everyone is covering the code as they pin it in so nobody sees. The only downfall for me was the showers weren’t hot enough, but they did the job. Note to owner: I left my power bank and iPhone charger in the kitchen, I won’t be coming back so it’s free to a good home :)

Amazing Hostel with a very nice sense of community. Lots of games, hammocks, a guitar and huge living area. The hostel is decorated very nicely and the staff was incredibly helpful in telling us where to go for the day to maximize what we were able to see since we only stayed one night. Must try their specially brewed beer which was incredible. Beds were comfy and the free breakfast was delicious. 10/10 recommend.

We had a very pleasant stay at AB! We went there for a magical concert of Tamino, by chance Greg, one of the owners, informed us about the After Party near, which made ur day even more accomplished. Thank you for sharing your knwoledge about the city with us! The building developed of a chocolate fabric and what is inside today is just as sweet. :)
