I stayed for 2 nights in this hostel and I'm still confused about it: the reviews are so awesome that I was a bit disappointed. Pros: -friendly staff - nice common room; - nice backyard; - very affordable. Cons: - waaaaay to far from the city center and located in a residential area where there is nothing to do; - it was so hot in the dorm: no A/c just two very noisy fans; - not enough bathroom/WC per person; - the breakfast is free but super basic and cheap...

Kabas is a new hostel and all of its facilities reflect that. It's very clean, the beds are super comfortable, and the staff are particularly kind abs helpful - you can feel their enthusiasm for the city. Breakfast was tasty as well - they provide fresh eggs from their chickens. It's a little bit out of the main areas so it's fairly quiet as well. I really enjoyed my stay and should I return to Antwerp will more than likely be reserving a bed here!

I was a volunteer in the Kabas Hostel for 4 weeks, and I had the best time of my life! Bart (the owner and worker at the Hostel), is the sweetest person in the world, he will help you with anything you need and always with a smile in his face. Everything is always clean and tidied, the rooms are very quiet, comfortable and clean. The living room is super cozy, you can watch whatever you want in the television (always having good discernment of course), have a nice meal at the shared tables, inside and outside, at the small and charming garden they have, with 3 chicken at the back! The Hostel is perfectly located where in a 30 minutes walk you are already in the center of the city, and in your way there you won't get tired or bored because of the beautiful city, that has in every corner impressive churches, small castles and so on! (It was super impressive for me at least, because I don't live in Europe and am not used to that hehe). All I can express is my gratitude for that amazing place and all the amazing people it came with! I would recommend it a million times to anybody! This is possibly the best hostel that I have ever been in. The staff is amazing, the atmosphere is very familiar the beds are great and everything is super clean. Also, you get tea/coffee all day, towel, lockers all for free! The location is great and there 2 stores nearby too! Simply amazing!

This place was great, we hired an 6 person room with 5 so we got it for ourselves. It was clean, cheap and cozy. The people were kind to everyone and let you do a lot as you pleased. There also was free coffee.

I absolutely loved staying at this Hostel. The prices were amazing, the staff members were beyond friendly and accommodating. We played games with other hostel members and staff members, shared some drinks and laughs... The staff members even did our laundry for us! And the best part is that they have chickens you can hang out with (shout out to Frankie and Jerry). This Hostel/Antwerp was one of the top highlights of my trip, and if I come back to Antwerp again, I will for sure be staying at the Kabas Hostel! I highly recommend!
