Absolutely amazing music, which made it a shame that the crowd was not dancing at all and instead was harassing the small population of women that was there. Felt quite unsafe in this club (and i read from reviews that this happens more often in this club). Really really a shame cause the music was fantastic, just wish the crowd would let me dance in peace :/

Best club of Antwerp with the best names throughout the year for sure. The club is based inside a bridge under the train rails. This really gives you a bunker underground feeling which perfectly matches with some techno beats. Overall there is a lot of house and techno names, but from time to time there are hiphop and RnB nights. The entrance usually is around 15 euros which is ok, bit expensive but payable. Though, the thing that really bothers me that they really need to charge for going to the toilet.. Please Ampere, be a bit human and get rid of the toilet fee, because everyone dislikes it. The lockers are a good idea but always a hassle to exchange my change to a 2 euro coin. Would be good if there was a coin changer. Fix this and it’ll get more five stars. 😊

Turns out, a few others also got stuck in the same situation. The real deal is on their website and app – that's where you'll get accurate details about events, opening dates, and tickets. Don't waste your time heading there without checking them out first!

I'm unsure how to best convey my emotions about this club... It's all right, but it could be a lot more, with some simple improvements. The positives: - Great lighting - Above average sound system The negatives: - Heat problems: The club's air con/ventilation is just not sufficient, it can't keep up when the club gets packed (as it often is). Hell, even when not at full capacity temperatures get uncomfortably (and unsafely) high. Not a good environment to dance in for a whole night. - Bar service: The bar service is extremely inefficient, I've seen worse and I've seen better. You can end up waiting for 15 minutes if you don't make yourself be seen, the crowd will often be very pushy and the personnel isn't able to keep track who was there first. Not the end of the world, but there's places that manage to do it better, especially since it's a tokens system, not cash at the bar. - The smoker's room: While quite atmospheric, it suffers even more from a lack of ventilation. The stairs leading up to the room are extremely slippery and crowded (the latter is difficult to solve, as expanding the room would be hard/impossible) - Lockers: 2 Euro lockers which are broken -way too often-, without a way to change currency (they have a machine that's been broken for ? time now). Hoping the club improves in time, I'll probably go back now and then.

Just left this club and WOW! The space is awesome, the app is super handy and makes for easy drink orders. I had a lot of issues with some of the lockers, the bouncer was a lot of help. I could have waited around for a refund, but wanted to just go dance. The crowd was great. We didn’t have to pay for the toilet either. 10/10 would recommend. We went to VAAG last night and it was full of rude children.. literally. This club is the one to visit if in Antwerp! Can’t wait to return! ❤️

Everything is new and functional, good lockers to put your jackets away, bathrooms that work and a separate smoking area inside.

You haven’t experienced the Antwerp nightlife if you haven’t been to Ampere. Sound system and lighting is amazing, always good dj’s playing here.

No Chillout, no sitting space, just 2 couches standing in a hall like someone forgot them there. The unbreathable smoking area doesn't count for me. Just one flat dancefloor, no opportunities get an overview. No balconies, risers, even though lots of opportunity to install those. Drinks are expensive and must be paid in coins. Human operated coin shops have long cues, the automats accept cash only and don't give change. Since coins are 3€ each it's impossible to buy them with euro bills alone without loosing money. Using the spa style lock boxes cost you 2€. So better come with a pocket full of metal €. The whole payment system feels rigged to pull some extra money out of you and leaves a bitter aftertaste of being ripped off. If you go here take lots of cash with you. Small bills and 2€ coins. It will make it more bearable. Or simply go somewhere else.
