⚠️ This place is for the Pros⚠️ My friend took me to this legendary establishment for my birthday. As a visitor to London from North America and a veteran of the underground I was both excited and skeptical. Fabric is essentially a metaphor for a police state. You can have fun, but within the confines of the rules mandated by the authorities. The four star rating is highly influenced by the quality of the music and the novelty of the experience. Do NOT go there unless you are seriously committed. All in all this experience was a mixed bag of positives and negatives, here are my takeaways: - Reviews that warn you about queuing are NOT exaggerating! If you plan to enter Fabric you will queue, unless you are on the very limited guest list - Senior management are top notch: the managers that run the show, both outside and inside the venue are absolute pros. They are friendly, accommodating, and hospitable. They run a tight ship without a hitch. - Everything that you heard about security is legit: I have traveled the world, partied and clubbed in all sorts of counties, including autocratic ones. Let me just say, never have I ever been searched, frisked, and essentially shaken down like I was entering Fabric. If you are a connoisseur of illicit/designer drugs, you have to be a die hard pro to get in with them. Now, even if you do, security inside the venue makes it practically impossible to engage in such activities. - Phones cameras and vaping are banned, but in reality they are frowned upon. The staff vapes, so does everyone else. Taking pictures and videos is frowned upon, and the strictness varies from one room to the other. - The music is top notch. Nothing to say here except that I would give it ten stars. - The bar tenders are generally terrible, with the exception of one or two staffers. - Conclusion: it is absolutely worth the visit, even if just once.

Iconic venue with amazing music and soyndsystem however for being such a world class place the establishment should really take care on the evenness of the dancefloor. It's very often uneven and with poorly placed shutter doors to lower levels actually on the dance floor which makes it hard to dance safely. Something one would have thought a must. Other than that great place.

One of the best clubs in London. The staff is phenomenal, walkarounds with flashlight to ensure nothing dangerous on the dance floor or that the people are safe and sound, free drinking water, reasonable amount of bars with no long queues. And the best policy: no photos in the venue, albeit people still get stickers off and stand with their phones filming something they will never ever watch again 😄

Not worth it! Me and my friends really left the place wondering how is it even allowed to be open. There is this security woman after the cashier, near the cloakroom, which is extremely rude, for no reason, her attitude is disgusting. Very expensive prices and they even charged almost £10 for a lateral flow covid test!! The music is very repetitive and there are different bars which function only on cash and don’t have tab water!! A double is £14 on a Saturday night, that’s the most expensive I’ve seen. The security check is ridiculous, my female friends and even some random strangers were complaining about how uncomfortable it was when the security people went near their private parts and even went inside their bras! Unacceptable! At the entrance, they even put stickers on both your front and back camera because you’re not allowed to use them inside. But what about Face ID on iPhones? It’s ridiculous. Long story short, probably the worst london club I’ve ever been to, you could pay me and I’d never visit again, avoid this place!

We paid for a ticket for Halloween. We were a group of 7 lads. They suddenly took us out of the queue and asked us to describe the music being played. Bizarre, never heard of that happening before. After we adequately described that we know the music being played, they let us back in the queue. Then, the manager took our mate out of the queue because he ‘acted strangely in response to putting our stickers on his phone’. They used this as an excuse to kick us out before we even got in. I cannot stress how respectful & polite we were. It came out of nowhere & they played it off as a justified decision. It was not. It bares mentioning that the manager (short, bearded) refused to explain his decision. This club is discriminatory (as our group is highly diverse, and he looked at our BAME members strangely), would highly recommend avoiding. Never experienced this kind of treatment before, anywhere in the UK or across Europe.

Fantastic venue and fantastic sound system. Not too loud where your ears are being destroyed and music is distorted. Several bars to get drinks from. Main dance floor is a bit small, even without tables. Legendary night, will be back.

Refused entry because I went quickly to the toilet around the road before entry. They embarrassed and humiliated me in front of my whole friendship group. Speaking to the females in my group who got in the security manhandled them and put fingers down their bras to search. Disgusted by the behaviours of bouncers. This club used to be amazing but it is not the same anymore. Do not even bother if you want a nice night out!

i was grabbed by a bouncer and thrown into a crowd of people for “not staying in the line” (the line being everyone shoved against the wall and no barriers) when at that point, my friends and i had been IN line for almost an hour. the bouncer did not even ASK me to move first, if he did i would have complied without question but he just immediately resorted to grabbing and throwing me against everyone else while yelling at everyone. I am physically small and he was much bigger and stronger than me and it was traumatizing. i immediately felt unsafe and was looking for my friends when i saw the bouncer telling them to go forward in line while i was alone, and so i reached out to grab my friends hand who was trying to help me and he slapped my hand. and didn’t allow me to even join my friends after physically assaulting me. a grown man treating a young woman like this is traumatizing and unacceptable and i felt so unsafe and scared. he did not apologize and ignored me while i cried in a crowd of strangers after purposefully separating me from my friends and assaulting me for no reason. i was not intoxicated or non-complaint. after this, another bouncer was also trying to keep the line in order and slapped my face and hit me directly in the eye, however this was a mistake and he apologized (only after a few minutes). i was shaking and traumatized and i hadn’t even entered the club yet so i left immediately after i made sure my friends got in safely and were not assaulted by any more bouncers. i will never return to this venue and likely will never go to anything similar because i am scarred and never want to experience anything like this. it was completely unacceptable and a scarring experience, and whoever manages the employees needs to do something about their bouncers because this is physically and mentally traumatizing and illegal.

What made this a 5 star night for me was the artist I went to see. To see Yotto play a 7 hour set was off the scale. The venue was good. It had an intimate atmosphere and it was not overly packed out. I would return for the right act. The strict no photography policy was a pain but hey

Good techno music in this well known club, but the experience could be improved. The club is quite big but the dancing floor is small and always too crowded. The drinks are well overpriced. Also, the queue could be ridiculously long (30min-1h) even if you have tickets, and the security guards are there to make sure the queue is as unpleasant as possible... They do have a great line ups sometimes that are worth attending despite the average experience

The ticket is absolutely scandal, me and my friend arrived 1 hour before entry time and ask if we can pay the difference of the online ticket and early entry, he said yes of course you can let me do the calculation for you that will be £70 for you both. Clearly the ticket at the door was £30 each full price…… this trick is kind disgusting, we were thinking what to do then the other security guard dragged us to the side said if you don’t want to get in you can leave…… Seriously why these people are so good at vibe killing. Kindly remind everyone to be careful about how much they are charging you at the door. It’s literally DOGGY.

I never wrote a negative review before but this was unfortunately and awful experience. Floor one was closed (without any announcement) and floor 2 and 3 played the exact same kind of niche fast techno bounce at the same time. Why have multiple floors if you play the same type of extremely niche music - especially if it is something that does not resonate even with people who usually love edm/techno. Waited forever for a change of DJ which did not happen. The entire group was super let down. Wasted a lot of time and money and it ruined the night. Security is very thorough though, which I appreciate.

I went back again after they reopened and my experience was so pleasant I felt like leaving a review. I only had to wait for around 10 minutes to go in, the blonde lady at the entrance was so very nice, staff and security throughout were very helpful and some even made jokes, had enough space to dance and the bar queues moved rather fast, there was no queue for the bathroom. The music was top notch like before, but the hospitality aspect improved significantly.

Only ever had good experiences in here. The addition of no photos or videos is perfect, and keeps people in the moment. The lineups are always incredible, from recently breaking through artists, to well established artists spanning a variety of genres in electronic music. The bouncers have always been decent, fair, and will have a chat with you. Ticket office also lovely. Expect to be searched thoroughly, because they had a hard fought battle regaining their license, and people should respect that. It's not intrusive, it's the rules and them ensuring that everybody is safe. Sound system is decent and they somehow manage to avoid clash between the rooms despite it being fairly open. Seats to relax, and a water point/station for when you're hot or need water. Never had any trouble.

Absolutely horrible awful place, my drink and my friends drink was spiked and then we were told repeatedly by security that we were lying, but we could not respond as we were so out of it. The staff were abusive and unkind, IMO the police should be involved with this club and ensuring that it is a safe place for people. It Is UNSAFE for people especially vulnerable people.

Most over-staffed heavy-handed security I've ever experienced. Huge queue to get in. Wouldn't let two girls go in the same toilet together. Stuck stickers all over my phone and wouldn't let me take any pictures or videos inside. Searched through everything even the cards in my wallet. Just horrible staff experience. And only one mediocre room for 25 quid entry?! and expensive drinks. Absolutely would never go again. Don't know who they thought they were honestly.

It’s the most consistently good club in London for electronic music lovers. It has an incredible sound system, facilities, staff, club layout, and lighting. The crucial element of Fabric is that it is all about the music. People that go for a typical “clubbing” experience - that is to drink and flirt with the opposite sex - I expect will be disappointed. Hence the one or two star reviews. Just choose a night with DJs you like and you can’t go wrong. I recommend earplugs as it can get very, very loud. Enjoy!

Went here a week ago with a friend. I was originally a bit worried about there being a dress-code, but as long as you are not wearing sportswear, you're fine. Drinks are on the expensive-side, but who really blames them? This is one of the best clubs in London. Three dance-halls with numerous different bars to order your drinks. There's also a chill-lounge above with a view on one of the dance halls. Very, very impressed!

A very good place for a rave night. Pretty clean for a dark place like that. The entrance control is vigorous and i respect that they don’t let in people that looks to high. Free water, napkins on the dance floor, security everywhere. I felt good and safe

Some of these reviews make me laugh so much do people not check the line up before they go? Security a bit overbearing but they have to be for the sheer amount of people they let in, best sound system in London, if your moaning about the price of drinks stay at weatherspoons and get the ale of the week for 2 pounds

Beautiful club, great soundsystem. However, this place is often so overbooked that it completely ruins the experience. No space to dance anywhere and tonight I had to queue for 15 minutes just to go from room 1 to room 2 due to the sheer mass of people. Even the smokers area is just a crowded mess. Would pick a different venue solely due to this issue, and it's a shame they have this awful ticket policy. Makes it clear that the whole thing just turned into one big money grab, not a single care for the ravers experience.

Very good acoustics inside. In general very good experience. It had two stages, the one was with techno and the other with house / tech house. We joined the second and enjoyed it very much cause the first two djs were playing GREAT, about at 04.00 another dj came and ruined it all. The staff could be friendlier. Too many checks before entering and also they take you a picture. I understand that it's for security reasons and best for all but again this was too much for me. People were ok, didn't see almost anyone trippin hard.

Greet atmosphere, music and service. The club is maze-like but the signs and a good memory will remedy that. This is the ultimate adult playground

There’s definitely better clubs for techno in London these days. I was in Room 1 only and it was quite a small dance floor and the place was packed. A lot of wondering male hands which has not happened as much to me in other clubs in London. Also some weird guys staring at me when I was trying to dance and enjoy the music.. was quite intimidating. Many tourists too. Security was similar to any club in London. The security staff was friendly and helpful. Also staff at the bar were professional. Go have fun here if you’re with someone or in a group.. and still in your 20’s! Lol. Look after your phones and valuables.

Beautiful venue that’s great to run around in! However, the vibe is utterly dead, it’s massively oversold, filled with 18 year olds and 60 year olds with little in between. Door staff are very decent and if you’re found with drugs they still let you in. Dance floor fully saturated with people just standing around vaping, rather than dancing. One to avoid. Utterly pointless sticker put on your phone camera that people remove instantly and they end up just littering the area!

Personal experience- didn't enjoy the techno music here as beats were repetitive and beat drops were anti climatic. Nobody was vibing hard to the music. There were 2 rooms playing almost similar music, would be better to offer some variety. Honestly cloakroom music had better music vibes

The club itself is average at best, but they host some of the world’s best techno DJs. The security check is too thorough and intrusive... even more thorough than airport security, something that I’ll never understand about clubs in this city.

Decent techno playing in room 2, but no entry fee advertised until you get to the desk, which also takes about half an hour. Security, whilst actually very pleasant, do a very thorough search, which is good in some aspects, although a little overbearing. A 4pm close is too early for this type of venue, it needs to be at least a 6am finish. The endless steps and tiny rooms may somewhat add to its charm but are also a hassle. We went because xoyo was closed for the evening, and it turned out OK, but the £30 entry fee was more than we'd usually want to pay, especially for what you get for it. Drinks prices are also excessive, however, this is something you expect and can avoid quite easily by dosing up beforehand, or consuming other things to keep you going.

Coolest club in the UK. Music, venue, staff, all are fantastic. It's big, it's eclectic, the audience comes for the music and enjoys a great night. It's very popular so expect long lines on weekends or get a vip/ guest list to jump the line.

Amazing Night Club! Must Visit! (Average Cost £10-£20) 1. Keep Cash/card with you for payment if you have not pre-booked Ticket. 2. Take some alcohol before entry to save some cost of drinking inside. 3. Keep your passport/valid ID With You 4. Do not take any sharp objects with you 5. They will charge around £2-5 for Cloak Room. 6. Try to Visit all Venues Inside because they have multi stages. 7. Do not do videography/photography inside. Make Friends and Enjoy ! Have a Nice Techno/House Night !

Worst club I have ever been to. If you like techno, no lyrics, no variation for 7 hours straight then perfect club for you but for me I was incredibly bored and experienced one of the worst nights of my life. For having 3 rooms there could be a variation of genres because all techo and literally no changes all night gets extremely tiring.

Great lineup. Abundance of staff members taking care of everyone Dedicated water bar so easy to stay hydrated. The club is big but the dance rooms were often uncomfortably packed. The layout is a little confusing but manageable. The cloakroom staff don't let you collect your belongings if with a photo of the cloakroom ticket so gotta make sure you don't loose it. Other places not only allow this but also encourage it since it's super easy to loose it. Overall the experience was good but some things could definitely be improved.

Music could’ve been better, I found it very average, place has 3 or 4 rooms that play very similar range of styles, it’s very easy to lose track of your friends. Did not drink but my friends said drinks were okay for a club. You can get water easily at any time at the water bar. Roof for smokers is mostly a place to get fresh air (necessary after a while). Place is Supra dark and very uncomfortable if you attend a rave party and end up the midst of a sweaty crowd. Maybe would work if they played better. Security is efficient and there’s a good cloakroom system, venue usually gets busy and there’s a large queue to enter although it moves fast, VIP tickets were useful.

Leaving a review to say that the back check staff tonight (Sunday 18th Sept) were amazing - I had dropped my debit card somewhere inside and after telling cloakroom staff they were able to get it back for me in about 5 minutes. Have never had this happen so efficiently before, even at much smaller venues. You saved me a lot of hassle and it's hugely appreciated. Big thanks to the staff and to the honest person who handed it in!

I heard the aircon was good but damn was it a paradise in the heatwave weather. Great layout (if you like staircases) and plenty of seating makes for one of my fav new clubs, it lives up to its reputation. Security isn't a problem if you're over 18 and have nothing to hide (unlike the negative reviews would have you believe, the staff were great and friendly) and the sticker over the cameras means you have to live in the moment which is pretty cool.

This is my first 1 star review but I feel like I have to say something. Fabric is by far the worst club you could choose to go to in London. First of all, security is very rude throughout the club. The cloakroom is a big joke - I paid £2 for a hanger to leave my coat and when I went back an hour later to add my jacket to the hanger I paid for, they asked me for another £2. For a bloody jacket! Are you with it?! The design of the place is confusing - you have to go three floors down to get in the music rooms, then have to cross 2 rooms to find the bathroom, and if you want to smoke you have to go all the way back up near the entrance and cannot even take your drinks outside with you. Drinks are the highest I've EVER paid in a London club (bear in mind that I've lived here for 8+ years now) - £14 for a double spirit & mixer, like what? The sound system is simply rubbish, you can't hear the actual music, just blurts out intense vibrations and doesn't let you enjoy the bass or anything else for that matter. Don't get me started on the toilet. Security there would sit on your lap while you do your business if you'd allow them. They'll even repeatedly bang on the door if you happen to need more than 30 seconds in silence on the throne for yourself before going out. The crowd in the club is generally made up of students, tourists and new Londoners who go to Fabric because that's the number 1 place they've heard of and they don't know about the other actual good clubs that make this city's nightlife amazing. In short, this was the last time I'll ever pay for a ticket to get in such a rubbish venue. Save your night and go somewhere else - i.e. Studio 338, Printworks, anywhere but not Fabric! This club shouldn't even be allowed to have a licence at this point.

Went to see Joris Voorn 2 weeks back and had a great time, Khalid out front working security made sure we got in safely and on the way out checked on us to see if we had a good night! All the staff we spoke to were really friendly and helpful. Sound system was great, maybe worth taking earplugs though. ++ points for the water stand (they also refill water bottles) Not for the faint hearted

Honestly I love some of the performers but I can’t go back there. I’ve been there many times and am even a member, but all I can say is the people who work there make it as hard and as inconvenient as possible every step of the way. The night feels exhausting and stressful as opposed to fun and everything from going in to checking your coat to even getting home (you aren’t allowed to wait on the pavement for your cab) is just made so difficult. There are other places with just as good performers that are less stressful.

Personally, I did not enjoy it at all even though I love techno raves. It’s way too big and crowded. Gets REALLY hot on the dance floor. I did not feel comfortable and could not let loose. Also asked two different bars for tap water and they didn’t have any. Very irresponsible with the hot temperature. People could faint!

Long queues even if you buy the most expensive ticket, you still end up in queue with non ticket people. The waiting time is short though. Bars inside the club have no menus. You need to shout asking about what they have. No cocktails in most bars. Dress code is funny. Who allows shorts and sneakers in a club! Long story short, wont be going again.

Went here last Saturday night with some friends from Holland. Great location, really unique. Sound system is great, vibes were nothing less. Had a little situation regarding my prescribed meds which they found suspicious and threw away. Made me frustrated in the beginning but in the end being very pleased about how professional and adequate the security and manager handled it. Had a good talk about it after leaving with both, all real friendly and cool. Thanks again for being precautions with everyone inside in mind.

You're in London, you love electronic music and clubbing = you hit Fabric, simple as. The sound system and lights are top notch, chillout areas are brilliant, staff are professional and friendly and you can see that a lot of thought and planning is going into making it run smoothly throughout long and busy nights. The redesigning of Room 2 was spot on. Can't describe myself as a youngster anymore but I still try to visit a few times every year.

Really great place, went there for halloween so it was pretty popular but the place is so massive I never felt cramped. The three rooms have great music, the bars have some good drinks (the watermelon redbull and gin was my fave) and they even have a bar that just serves water which I though was a nice touch. The staff and security are so friendly which shocked me as Ive read some horror stories about the security on here but if you cooperate and don’t act too drunk in the queue, you’ll probs be fine. Smoking area is good too. Great night out, would go again.

Wow, this club is basically a miniature whp when the live techno DJs are on set. I’m type 1 diabetic, and I can’t thank Fabric enough for helping me out with giving me sugar food and drink in the first aid room. There was no messing about at all, and If it wasn’t for them I could’ve found myself in the back of an ambulance on Saturday night. Top top club.

Massive techno/electronic place and nightclub. I’m going to save you the details about the security as you know you’re going into a techno night club in London, so a little bit of more attention you need. The experience it gives you is simply superb. If you love techno or electronic, this place suits you perfectly. You’re not aloud to record video and take pictures inside, but hey : Fabric : I think I did nothing wrong. A little note : boys and girls, three Vodka (double) + Redbull = 39£. (Save your moneys dudes) The night is have 3 rooms, se third one is really small. Light and smoke show it is ok.

Great security staff. Responded quickly and thoughtfully to an issue. Made us feel safe (as a gay couple). Music was great, good vibes, drinks were reasonably priced. All round good venue

Had my work Christmas party there, The staff are the best in the world, top class! One of my colleagues had too many beverages and the staff were sooo kind, provided us with warm place to get him back on his feet and made sure we have everything we need. Extraordinary service, highly recommended!

The place itself is good for a night out. The music is repetitive but not a bad choice. It would be nice if they could add a bit more variety of music. The real downside of this club is some of the security people. Being so arrogant and rude for absolutely no reason! I have asked one of those security guys in a respectful way to allow me to use the restroom after the music stopped and the guy replied “you can only use it if you pay for the VIP membership” ( and I have seen him letting some other people to go and use the restroom) I found this absolutely ridiculous that I paid around £20 and can’t even use the restroom! Also, the other security woman by the cloakroom upstairs was rude and showing attitude for no reasons. I understand that it could get difficult to manage these places at times but showing rude behaviour towards people going to the club is just unnecessary.

If you want to call this music then dont ever try to dance 😂 literally 28 pounds through to the bin. Worst place Ive been in London. Not recommended to anyone with a little taste of music and dancing.

Best club in London, I've had loads of great nights here over the last decade or so. It's a club for people who are into their music be it house, techno, drum and base or whatever is on that night. Expect to pay over the odds for drinks though.

Good atmosphere & their own DJ was good. The sound at the bar was deafening but at the dance stage it was good. I liked their choice of dance music

queing and security checks with the charm of a covid testing center or airport, and the people commanding you around in the toilets omg.. and the music.. and the people.. one of the worst clubs i've been at

not a good experience when you have world renowned djs as that means the room is fully packed and overbooked so cannot enjoy the music when you don't have any room to dance. yes it has 3 rooms but they are too small for the amount of tickets that they sell. you are not allowed to take your drink to the smoking area. on the plus side you do have free water lol

Loved my time at this club. The rooms themselves are fairly small so usually best to dance on the sides for a better time . Sound system was bang on 🎉

Awful! Started queuing at midnight, we were still in the queue at 2am with prior to 1am ticket. Staff asked us to pay for an additional cost as we got to the cashier after 1am due to the endless queue. We had already paid GBP 50 for 2 tickets, this place is a SCAM. I strongly advice against this place !!

Not a very good venue, you can't get onto any of the dancefloors as they are to packed and crowded as they are to small, and £6 for a half sized small can of lager?.....If you are going to take advantage out of people and charge then £6 a can, atleast have the decency to give them a proper size can. Talk about take advantage, Shame on you.

Excellent club. Probably the best sound experience in my life (and I got out A LOT). Staff was not rude. As far as I know this club tries to maintain an "under" image so if you go, at least check who will be performing before. Would go again 100%

paid £80 for a VIP ticket just for the security with an ego complex to put me in the regular queue and not let me leave because he couldn’t be bothered to tell me where I had to go(which I found out after I had already got in). Real humbling is needed, he’s a security guard not a doctor so why the ego lol. Also, there’s barely any drink options at the bar, the club is too hot and the unisex toilets really don’t work it’s very chaotic. Don’t bother being scammed by the ticket prices it’s literally the exact same or even worse than the clubs like ministry and XOYO. Also DONT get VIP tickets there’s literally no difference in tickets and where u can go in the club.

If I could give zero stars I would. This place is a joke. They have all their priorities in the wrong place. They have all the signs about inclusiveness, the stickers on the camera yada yada. BUT one the ticket price is too high, the drinks prices are too high, they oversell the venue, they allow in ANYONE even in awful states, taking your photo and scanning your ID at the door is a joke (I question the legality of this, I wonder how long they retain this info). The stewards walk around flashing their lights at people sitting down even if they are just sitting there having a chat or drinking and it's very off putting. The security level is understandable given what has happened at this club in the past but they are not building a good culture or community here. It's a flagrant money grabbing kip. Avoid the place at all costs

I liked the fact that security was attentive, although maybe too much (they were in the toilets too). The vibes were not the best, boring music and not many people on a Friday night! I wouldn’t go back!

Ι hadn't been to Fabric for a while but was positively surprised. The stuff was really really friendly and invisible (contrary to the trend in London venues). Music, rooms etc are top-notch anyways.

  • 1/5 Devanshi 2 years ago on Google
I would give them 0 stars if I could. Did not feel safe, the staff was rude and scary. The worst part was that it wasn’t even worth all this as there was no music but only a constant thumping sound. We left immediately.

  • 2/5 Dash H. 1 year ago on Google
The ideal club: • doesn’t leave you dripping with sweat in winter with moderate dancing • doesn’t damage your ears after an hour These are basic things, Fabric. Make your soundsystem pump the body not the eardrums. Make sure ventilation protects the people. This was a visit on Sunday 12 match 2023.

It was nice and good vibes. But the music could've been better. Room 3 got closed pretty quickly, and people didn't have much access in room 2 because it soon got packed (which is only fair but also a shame). I think the tickets can get quite expensive and based on that one night I went there, I don't think it was viable.

Me and my mate went to see gilla band here, shocked at how great of a venue it is not just for clubbing, but intense percussive, experimental band music, wish we could've had access to the other rooms, being since there was no point opening them because of the acts being downstairs, I still had a fantastic experience, each trip up or down the stairs, through the halls or even to the toilets was an atmospheric and authentic club experience, with lots of character and dimension, the lighting was a great addition to this. Felt like a genuine club.
