It's a nice diamond journey from the reception to the 2nd floor and back ! 💎 Very nice and welcoming staff. We got the audio tour guide ( it's very helpful but always activate the correct language 😀) it's next to the entrance. There is a marking on the ground to take you to the right spot. The journey starts from the 2nd floor with the introduction to the diamonds. Very educating and interesting. After that we went to the 1st floor and WOW !!! It's amazing !!! Lots of unique jewellery and story behind it in a locker type of setup. It's a very unique way to show the things And give information. The next floor is event better. It was like doing research on diamonds and knowing the history behind every piece. Thank you guys for creating such a nice experience. A 💎 rating from me. Must visit experience.

It’s a small museum. Remember we are talking about some very small objects here. It’s well designed and compact. With all the information you will learn about all the aspect of diamonds, diamonds history, diamond trade, diamond… well everything! Well designed experience. Carefully curated collection. Friendly staff. Information in many languages including English. Reasonable price for what it’s.

Really enjoyed the experience. Quite informative tour and some of the art pieces are just stunning. Most (I guess) are replicas, but the sheer craftsmanship is praiseworthy.

The DIVA Museum is a renowned museum in Antwerp , Belgium that showcases the history and artistry of diamonds, jewelry, and decorative arts. It is located in the heart of Antwerp's historic center, near the Cathedral of Our Lady. The museum offers an immersive and interactive experience, taking visitors on a journey through the world of diamonds and luxury craftsmanship. It's a fascinating journey into the world of diamonds. You'll learn how these precious stones are formed, mined, and transformed into stunning jewelry. It's not just educational; it's also a chance to admire some exquisite bling. A must-visit if you're in Antwerp and curious about the magic behind those sparkling stones!

Interesting museum about the history of diamond and gold mining. Particularly liked the section where jewelry pieces in different eras of the last 2 centuries were showcased. It's small and a 1.5 hr. was enough to cover the entire museum.

An excellent museum with a good explanation of the importance of Antwerp as a diamond centre and also the mining, cutting and finishing process for the gems. Whilst only small, the museum is very dense with beautiful exhibits. The audio guides are excellent with both factual and story based narratives. This gives the experience a nice sense of purpose and really carries you on a journey. Staff are friendly and helpful. Children <12 are free and adults are €10. This is an excellent, elegant, relaxing way to learn about Antwerp’s important heritage. It took us 1.5hrs to complete the visit.

The reception is pretty friendly. But the exhibition in general is poor. Not too many impressive jewelry or diamonds you can see in the gallery. Besides, the audio guide they use is ask you to scan the QR to link to YouTube. I think such display is not worth 12 euros for an adult. You might find more informative knowledge about diamond industry on Wiki than here. I don’t recommend this museum if you have limited time in Antwerp.

A very good place to discover the beauty of diamonds and jewellery, for which Antwerp od world known. It is a relatively new museum and thus everything is pretty new. It is good, but has potential to be even better in the future (for example having a bigger collection).

Receptionist was rude and unwilling to explain the different ticket options - gave us a leaflet and send us to the back of the queue so we ended up waiting behind people who got there after us! The museum has some nice pieces but the order is illogical, it's too difficult to match the pieces with their descriptions in the written information, the audio clips did not work properly, and there were places where you had to open drawers in order to see things, which does not work well if there are quite a few visitors at the same time. I saw a couple of nice gems and pieces of jewellery, and watched an interesting video on how to select and cut stones, but I didn't get much more out of it than that. We both came out feeling that it had been a disappointing experience that was poor value for money. The previous diamond museum that has now closed was infinitely better.

Pretty small museum for a city with so much history built around this commodity. Not really worth the entry fee, recommend going if you get the citycard. Great audio guide although the chime in the beginning of every clip got tedious.

While Antwerp is the city of diamonds, this lovely and sparkly museum is a must. I am still amazed of all the beauty the displayed there. There collection must be millions and millions worth. From the history of diamonds to who worn them, you get you're answers there. Go and get greedy. 😜

(Translated by Google) Since I discovered this place, it was my dream to visit it and I was not disappointed. On two floors of the museum there is a museum of diamonds and jewelry art covering basically every interesting area. There are issues of diamond processing, mining history, processing art as well as stories related to unique gems. The specimens themselves simply knock off their feet in many cases. It is amazing to me that a museum can have such an expensive collection. All in a multimedia setting from the 21st century. Audio guides and recording launch system are also very nice depending on the preferences of the visitor. Admission is quite expensive for museums in Antwerp, 12 euros for an adult, but definitely worth it. A wszystko w oprawie multimedialnej z XXI wieku.

(Translated by Google) An interesting collection of jewelry, beautifully presented. However, I did not see the story, it came across as a random collection of beautiful pieces. The audio guide contains both factual information and made-up stories, which made the experience confusing. Furthermore, I find many pieces rather darkly lit, the spaces were also very dark, to the extent that it was sometimes difficult to read the information boards. Eventually I remained hungry, I expected more. (Original) Een interessante verzameling juwelen, mooi gepresenteerd.

This was a pretty unfulfilling visit. You get an audioguide to go through the exhibition but it doesn't provide you much information but invented stories about people who created the jewelries. Don't go there if you want to know anything about the impact of the diamond trade over history, colonialism or mining. The whole museum is really fancy and is only promoting this luxury industry...

Cool museum. If you stay a bit longer in Antwerp I would suggest this museum. It was more interesting to me than MAS. Some parts are not in English which I find as a big mistake for a museum but other than that it was pretty nice.

Antwerp is famous for Diamond and the place deserves a visit. But the visit requires patience. It tells history and story about diamond. The way it cuts and also has a collection of few antique pieces. It requires a connoisseur of art, jewellery to enjoy this, if not then you may skip the visit. The tour is paid, it does have a student discount. Even with student discount the student may not find worth a visit since the visit is not engaging. It has a free locker storage facility.

  • 3/5 Alexander Van M. 2 years ago on Google
There are some great pieces in the collection. Unfortunately we found the information to be presented in a dull way. The interactive displays were interesting, but the other screens were positioned a bit too low, and there wasn't a real story to bind everything together. We left still having a lot of unanswered questions (e.g. The history and role of the Jewish merchants). We would recommend a trip to the fashion museum instead.

It's a nice museum but at times it was very crowded .I'd recommend the diamond museum in Brugge in my opinion it's better and they do live demonstration of polishing diamonds instead of watching it on a TV screen. Also in Brugge you could buy worlds smallest diamond as a nice little memory gift, which I did not see in Antwerp.

I found the museum to be very well laid out and full of beautiful jewelry, as expected. What I didn't expect was the extra detail they paid toward making it an *experience*. The audioguide is a must and, if you can get over the idea of jumping from display to display, the stories they built definitely leave an impression. The amount of information presented about diamond, the diamond trade, jewelry, the history of such jewelry... it's almost overwhelming. The stories are also fun, if historically questionable. As well, their interactive exhivits are actually presented in a realllly cool way. The special exhibit was... interesting. Much more artsy than what I enjoy, alllmost impossible not to see as one giant sales pitch... but I won't remove a star because *I'm not an art person*: if one were I feel it would have enraptured.

(Translated by Google) A place not only for women. In addition to expensive artistic handicrafts, you can see expertly prepared films about diamonds. The exhibition is varied, some of the objects are shown in mobile cabinets (maybe not very accurate way, because the massive border overwhelms the exhibits), others in a beautiful arrangement on the table in the living room (here congratulations, excellent effect!). Definitely worth visiting this place. And buy a souvenir - I recommend a museum shop. (Original) Miejsce nie tylko dla kobiet. Very interesting collection. As a person more interested in the history of diamond trade, jewelery techniques like cut, and mining I enjoyed very much the interactive part. However I recognise that the collection itself is beautiful and some pieces are truly masterpieces with intriguing stories behind. Unfortunately it was really too cold inside and the fact that they require you to leave bags and coats in a locker makes sort of inconvenient coming back to take something to dress for the low temperature. I suggest to advise about it. Very nice shop at the end with interesting books. I would place some pieces of rough diamonds in the collection from different places with a microscope to observe the differences. I would also place more emphasis on the industrial use of diamonds to give awareness. That would be super cool.

(Translated by Google) Many beautiful pieces even if the lighting did not always convince us for the small jewels. A pleasant visit to the very center of Antwerp. (Translated by Google) I thought to come out with my eyes full of glitter. The museum lacks glamor. The temporary exhibition is not well presented. A little disappointed. 😞 (Original) Je pensais en sortir les yeux plein de paillettes. Le musée manque de glamour. L'exposition temporaire n'est pas bien mise en valeur. Un rien déçue. 😞

Very bad customer service. We had to cancel our trip to Belgium due to lockdown back in September and emailed the museum about a refund or voucher for new tickets. Never got an answer. Won’t be visiting when we do travel to Antwerpen.

Many nice jewellery show cases, good place to understand more on Diamond.

Snooping around in the dark with no audio guide (broken) was pretty boring. The exhibited jewels will enchant you.

Nice museum. Has lots of info if u have the patience to read everything. Although its pretty small..you'd take no more than 1.5 hours to finish it.

1.The museum's audio guide provides informative insights into each display. 2.Museum's working hours are really comfortable. 3.Entrance fee is reasonable Antwerp is famous for its tight connection with diamond's trading and cutting over the centuries and the DIVA museum of diamonds has a lot to show you about that connection. The museum's audio guide provides informative insights into each display. Thus both tourists and locals will have an opportunity to not only admire the shiny diamonds but also learn about their history and origin. Museum's working hours are really comfortable. They work every day except Wednesday until 6PM, so it is very comfortable to schedule a visit beforehand. Entrance fee is reasonable. If you have kids, their entrance will be for free. They have flexible pricing for group visits as well. I definitely suggest anyone check this museum, it won't take much time but will be an interesting experience. Flexible working hours and reasonable prices make it available for everyone.
