Spontaneous visit to the museum in Berchem. Very good explanation at the ticket counter with extra attention for the grandson. He was allowed to 'cut' the cards himself. Well-maintained and impressive exhibition that is still being updated. Experienced experts will assist you with advice and assistance where necessary. Impressive, affordable and suitable for all ages. Very child friendly.

What a nice museum that is run by volunteers. Nostalgia at its best, especially for older people who still know these trams and buses. Be careful because the museum is not open all year round. Contact us.

Loved it! Just the right size. Two very nice gents working there who spoke English and provided an info book in English (although I also wanted to practice my Dutch!). Only €5 - cash only (ING cashpoint 5mins away) - and a mooi way to spend an hour. Bedankt!

For nostalgics and adepts of (electro)mechanics. Colors and smells that remind us of not so distant times, when bus and tram doors still opened in a normal way and - for the oldest couples - seating comfort still meant something. They are not nicely integrated, the TV sets that were installed here and there in buses and trams, but the short, old documentaries that play on them more than make up for that in terms of content (spoiler alert: the city center of Antwerp was much busier in 1960 then now). Not all carriages are accessible, which is a shame. After all, I would have liked to visit the tram that I have the most memories of (the so-called PCC) again. Okay, those couples are still driving (on line 11, for example), but no longer with the original interior. All in all, a pleasant experience and respect for the volunteers who maintain this piece of movable heritage.

Shortly after the Corona-related closure (and shortly after opening), there was still little going on when we arrived. There was time for us and we were greeted personally by virtually all of the (volunteer) employees present and also informed about the exhibits in a knowledgeable manner. Regardless of this very special situation, I believe that anyone interested in trams and buses can experience a variety of relevant and well-prepared exhibits on the development of local public transport in the Antwerp region. For me anyway, it was a great experience.

(Translated by Google) Nice snack. Not really a 'museum', but rather a hangar full of trams and buses. Tip: make more vehicles accessible for visitors. Especially if you are with children, this certainly adds value. (Original) Leuk tussendoortje.

However, do not expect high-tech gadgets but passionate volunteers to show you the whole collection with a lot of knowledge and love. (Translated by Google) For 4 EUR per person (14/7/2019) you can walk around between old trams and buses (which might still be fresh in the memory of some?). 1 tram is equipped as a "cinema room" with continuous videos about the history of the tram. On some days (including 14/7/2019) a historic tram commutes between the museum and the Groenplaats in Antwerp.

Too bad there was a closed door there even though it said it was open from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM. When you arrive at the door, it is apparently from April... despite these hours apparently having changed at the end of last year... By the owner

(Translated by Google) A highly motivated group that does their best to make this historical heritage museum exist with a lot of information. A must for every public transport enthusiast but also for others who want to learn something about public transport. This museum makes the heart beat with their extensive range of vehicles not only from Antwerp, but also from private companies. (Translated by Google) Very nice museum. Many buses and trams are freely accessible, children who are well behaved are allowed to sit in the driver's seat of various trams and buses. Enthusiastic volunteers, who are happy to give you a lot of explanation if you want more than the informative signs at each vehicle. Nicely maintained collection and effort is made to make it attractive and interesting. Too bad the opening hours are quite limited and there is no bar, but don't let that stop you :-) (Original) Heel fijn museum.
