Beautiful museum. We visited on Thursday when the pressmen were there to show us their techniques. They did this with a lot of passion.

There is a convenient parking lot within the museum area, and we faced no issues finding a spot. If it happens to be full, an additional parking area is located right in front of the building. The staff, particularly the ladies, are welcoming and friendly. Lockers are available for your belongings, and there's a designated area to hang your extra clothes or coat. Wheelchair accessibility is good, complemented by a lift for those in need. The exhibition itself is captivating, showcasing fascinating history. However, it would enhance the experience if explanations were available in other languages such as French and English, catering to visitors not proficient in German. Post-visit, we headed to the café with automated machines for a coffee. The ambiance is cozy and inviting. Clean and well-maintained restrooms add to the positive experience. I highly recommend exploring this museum.

An extraordinary museum that sheds light onto the origin of play cards for centuries. Very friendly staff.

Awesome museum to learn about the history of Turnhout in relation with printing and playing cards. The employees are knowledgeable and very helpful. Tickets are 5€ per person and i have to admit, the information is awesome. Short videos in multiple languages, paper to read more and they also offer workshops (vie the website for dates). It's been very interesting and from Feb 2023 there will be a new exhibition... exciting! 😁

Absolutely great experience. We had experts demoing the tools and explaining everything in detail and received plenty of take-aways for our little ones. I highly recommend it.

A little gem of a place. Really interesting to see all the different card printing presses, also the old steam engine. Overall a truly worthwhile experience. The Saturday staff of 3 young ladies were incredibly helpful and engaging, there are also special two days in most months when the old printing presses are turned on and used. Great to see different playing card designs. And entrance only 5 EUR. Super

Highly recommended. The genuine educative content of this museum enabled me to discover much more than what I know about playing cards. Especially, the printing demonstration delivered by the senior craftsmen is definitely worth participating (English available). Visiting this museum was definitely the highlight in our trip.

This is primarily a museum on the art of printing and on that note it is a complete historical experience. A must visit if you are in the area

Been here with my children. The ticket for children is free. For Adult is 5€ and for elderly is 3€. You can visit it alone or with group. They have your guide also if you want. You can buy combine ticket that you can used to visit this museum and 2 another museum, Taxandria and beginnenhoof. Recommended to go.

Interesting museum but lacks a bit of 'international' explanations. Most of the exhibit information is in Dutch which makes the understanding of what is on display more difficult. There are some leaflets in english available in the different rooms but not everywhere (at least I couldn't find them)

Very friendly place and very interesting learning the story of playing cards and printing in the region. When we went there they also had an exhibit about tatoos, do reccommend checking them out.

Interesting if it is your thing. They really made an effort showing how playing cards are made. They set up an English narrated intro movie especially for us, which was nice. Entry price I can't remember but was very reasonable

Wonderful tour on the history of printing cards. The printing of different colors, the imprinting the cards, the creation of efficient machines, getting cards to slide - all very interesting! The assortment of cards printed today is impressive!

Very interesting location, the ticket includes a 10-minutes educational animated movie and the museum staff speak English and are very nice and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, there isn't an English description available and not even a French one for the majority of the exposed items.

👍 Nice, from the outside. You can sit around and go on the bridge, but cannot otherwise enter/visit. If you're visiting Turnhout, you will definitely want to take a couple of pictures, since the castle is in the city centre anyway and listed as one of the sites. The public library is just behind it.

😠 Very unfriendly people at the counter, not helpful at all. It seems like those people who were there were just paid to wear out their pants and scare people away. The less they have to do the better. There is also a complaint about this at the City of Turnhout. All they can do is sigh and whine. Not...
