The museum is not very big. When you get in you will feel the good smell of chocolate everywhere. There are different model of signature buildings in Brussels and a tropical garden and small area showing how to make chocolate. There is a shop upstair to have drink / buy chocolates. I visited on Heritage day so free ticket.

Simple place to learn more about chocolate and it's history. You will have the chance to meet a chocolatier during your tour to learn how chocolate is made. I would recommend to sit and enjoy a cup of their coffee with chocolates on their cafe; cozy and nice.

Very good, the museum and experience it's worth it. The only problem was the staff which are students that don't treat well the customers. They assisted us slow and lazy. We tried to buy chocolate at the store and the personal (they were 4 girls) were super rude with us because it was almost time to close and they wanted to keep the last chocolates for the day after (or for themselves to eat it). They were trying to scam us with the chocolate weight giving us less that corresponds with the price, and we wanted to buy a book and they said they didn't know the price and didn't want to ask. Zero profesional. For the rest everything good.

"Belgian Chocolate Village Museum" its really a good place to know about the Chocolate history. Actually I not know how the Chocolate powder is collect and its really great experience like from Africa they provide Coco bin and lot of Africa's child not know the test of the Chocolate. But in the world every baby like Chocolate. When I visit the place then see little kids are making Chocolate for birthday gift for there friends and really they enjoy and make different type Chocolate. Its really a good place for child and the organizer really good to give chance to play kids with Chocolate. Thanks

It’s a great place to learn about the history of chocolate and the varieties. The chocolate making was incredible and we learnt about the tempering process. There are 3 stories , where you could buy some chocolates on the third floor. Recommend to visit.

A pleasant way to pass some time wondering around learning about chocolate. Really interesting to see a real cacao tree in the greenhouse. And then to learn about their chocolate making process, with some tasting.

Very nice place to learn about chocolate. The audio guide is available, also the audio explanation is separated for audiences - kids, in detail and for adult. Also I highly recommend workshop. The chocolatier was quite professional but explains in easy English. You could learn how to make chocolate.

5 star for reception and chocolate maker. Both of them werr very helpful. However the place is not anything like a museum. And definitely not worth the money and time.

They're very concerned about the visitor's enjoyment. Called me a day before informing me that their chocolate-maker was sick, so I should postpone by a day. Which I did, and it was worth it. The audio-guide remote wasn't working well, probably an issue with English-language remotes. Definitely worth visiting.

Very pleasant museum and the chef was super nice to let us taste different flavors of chocolate. I wish they sell chocolate with liquor, that would make this experience like heaven 😆 Very friendly people. Will definitely recommend.

This is the chocolate museum outside the center, near a nice park. It is housed in a large building with different rooms covering Bgisn chocolate, benefits it chocolate, history and so on. The greenhouse with tropical plants and the pralines workshop made this place better than the central one - tasting exquisite pralines plus a nice presentation by Mr Jorge Lopetegui. Upstairs there is a nice saloon which shows images of this place from the past. Not sure why they call it village, a bit misleading.

A MUST for chocolate lovers. Very informative and fun experience to learn about the process of how chocolate ends up in our hands. From the pods ripening on the trees, the beans fermenting and roasting, to a chocolatier making his creations. There is a live demo showing beautifully melted chocolate being turned into delicious bon-bons that we get to taste! There is a cafe upstairs where you can try more tasty chocolate treats.

A little and good chocolate museum. The chocolate guide was very interesting. The museum is not very big and the exhibition is also small. The chocolate guide is the highlight. There are not many visitors, so anyone can perfectly see and taste the chocolates. The cafe at the upper floor with more than three grades of hot chocolate was very delicious.

The museum is small, but interesting and interactive. There are some chocolate sculptures of Brussels monuments, as well as a small greenhouse where cocoa trees are grown. You have the chance to learn from a chocolatier how their chocolates are made. All in all, an experience I would warmly recommend. Also, the friendly and helpful staff made our experience even better!

(Translated by Google) We were greeted like queens. Very friendly staff, even the security staff, were outgoing. We had a demonstration of chocolate making and similarly the master chocolatier was friendly and at the same time passionate about his work. The museum seemed educational to me. I already knew a lot about chocolate but I learned even more!

A must see if you want to understand some great new info about the chocolate. Wait for the chef to make chocolate for larger groups. Near this place you can find Godiva chocolate fabric outlet with good deals.

I went there in April 2021 and I had a very nice time. The atelier was very interesting and the museum is small, but informative and well-made. it's not a big museum, but I spent almost 3 hours there. It's really worth a trip, I recommend it without hesitating. And they are very generous with the chocolate samples, that was great.

  • 2/5 Scott C. 2 years ago on Google
Pretty rundown. Seemed like it was in need of a major update. A lot of buttons didn't work. The introduction with samples was fine but limited too. Not worth the trip out of the city or the cost of the tour.

  • 5/5 Madzia G. 4 years ago on Google
Very pretty place, and very few people (for now) It's not big but it has great activities and you can learn a lot. There is also a 'workshop' about making chocolate pralines which you can taste. I also highly recommend viaiting the upstairs restaurant and shop. I ordered ice pop with chocolate and besides it i received two pralines! It was of course very delicious😋

  • 3/5 Sunil Z. 6 years ago on Google
It’s a small museum with an option guided tour in the history, life cycle and manufacture of chocolates right from a cocoa pod. And you also get a live explanation of making chocolates by an experienced chef.

Me and my husband visited this place today and we loved it! It's a small museum, but we really enjoyed each part of it, especially the workshop. The staff there was really lovely and answered all of our questions. The chocolate we tasted there was the best ever! It was a really nice experience!

  • 1/5 Milena M. 1 year ago on Google
Complete disappointment for a person who really appreciates chocolate. I was expecting for the place to be more interactive but it wasn't. The whole tour can take you up to 15-20min. We were told we will try the creation of the day from their workshop, but the chocolate maker didn't even allow us in. Sadly it was a waste of time in my opinion! 😔

Lovely little place, well layed out, staff is very hospitable and polite and made our tour feel great, we found out everything we wanted and didn't want to know about chocolate. Would be nicer if the tour was a bit more interactive and bigger, yet an amazing experience, if in Brussels definitely visit!

A small museum. Some history of factory situated there as well as details of different types of chocolate and how they Maka it. A small demonstration available about chocolate making and you can taste a few. Also there is a chocolate counter where you can buy and have a coffee.the varieties of chocolates available there are very limited compared to a chocolate shop outside. They have a couple of video presentation about the chocolate making as well as history of factory. Though it's 8 euro only which include an audio guide.

The relationship with the chocolatier is more personal with more direct proximity. You can order a personalized box in the shop. The 2 museums are to be recommended, this one is perhaps a little less "touristy". (Original) Nettement plus petit que Choco-story Brussels ce musée est néanmoins très convivial et bien organisé. Old, "vintage" museum, where one can learn all about making chocolate, its history and the belgian history in chocolate making. Very nicely kept old fabric used as frame for the museum. Was there for a "quick" run, but will go back on another day to enjoy it more thoroughly.

If you are in Bruxelles, then you must visit this museum. It's amazing with different chocolate sculptures. We had a live demonstration about how some types of dark chocolate are made. You can also buy artisan chocolate "La fabrique a chocolat". I recommended it, especially "Brussels" flavour. Don't miss it.

This place is so nice. You must visit this place when you are in Brussels. However, it is a long walk from Brussels Central. If you want to go, best to get train or bus. They have amazing chocolate mini models on display (Triumph Arch, Atomica etc) that weight over 200 kg of solid chocolate (see my photos). They also show some coco trees and cartoons eg Tin Tin (see my photos). Staff were very friendly. The tall, young lady at front counter is very friendly. The guy runs sessions on how to make chocolate is also very friendly. We ate so much chocolate during the demonstration class. However, I didn't like the chilli chocolate. Anyway, this place is a must visit when you are in Brussels. However, I find the ticket is slightly expensive. It has a nice cafe inside the museum.

We got the chance to have a chocolatier show us the process of making pralines professionally and give us tips on how to make them at home. The exhibition took us through the history of chocolate and it's stories and we entered a climate controlled room where some plants such as the cocoa, coconut, coffee, saffron were grown. The enly downside is that the interactive audio guides don't seem to work very well anymore and we lost quite some time trying to get them to work

(Translated by Google) Had a nice museum visit with the family here. We received a friendly and personal welcome, everything was well explained and the cloakroom was shown. The audiophones did not always work well but there was sufficient explanation. The most fun was actually the demonstration of the chocolate cake. We learned how to make chocolates, and they were very tasty. Also very interesting for children. The museum is easily accessible by car and public transport.
