Awesome place for comic book/action figures enthusiasts. The place is quite small but it contains considerable amount of information about the history of Belgian Cartoon Industry. Entrance it’s a bit tricky to find tho. Also, heads up! If you buy tickets online you can easily confuse it with the official Comics Museum. TBH, this issue is recurrent in Brussels depending on the topic of the museum.

Moof stands for the Museum of Figurines. It also says 'Comics Museum' so just make sure you don't get it mixed up with the Comics Arts Museum because that one is very different. We stopped in on a Friday just after 4:15 with the Brussels Card. There weren't too many people there at that time. It's a pretty fun museum with lots of figurines, and even life size superhero statues. It's not very big because I guess you can really only fill a place with so many figurines. We spent about 45 minutes to walk through everything, so you don't need too much time to explore everything.

A very nice museum with nice figurines and very detailed information about the creation and development of some of the most iconic cartoons in history like Tintin and Marsupilami. The price is very fair and you can sit down and watch some of the cartoons. An ideal place for kids and all cartoon lovers!

Managed to see this on my last day at Brussels, opened Fri to Mon. I saw a sign about being open 7 days a week I believe it was for the summer time so useful for those travelling to Brussels during those months. Worth a visit! It's small but has lots to see especially if you are a comics fan.

Very interesting museum, full of the best Belgium comic characters, Luke and Tin Tin are my favorites. Not only kids enjoy the museum, but it is also very pleasant for many adults, reminding me of several childhood memories. Negative points: a bit expensive for the thickest and most expensive gift shop.

Nice museum. If going with kids be aware ofthat at the end there's a motion switched giant troll statue which growls and has pointy teeth. My 4 year old is still in shock... And our visit was 2 years ago. Recommended

The museum of original figurines (MOOF) is another comics based museum located about 150 metres from the Grand Place, you can't miss it as there is a big smurf just outside. It is well worth a visit and has a fix of figurines and drawings and covers the well known comics and movies made of them. It will take you about an hour to wander around the museum and they also have a nice gift shop.

Excellent musuem with a huge collection of figures. Really interesting to find out the history about comic heroes such as Tintin and Asterix and not to mention the smurfs! Staff are very helpful explaining what the museum is about so if you're a comic fan it will not disappoint! Can be a little bit hard to find but well worth the wait!

(Translated by Google) A really interesting museum that you have to see. Thousands of characters from well-known comics such as Lucky Luke, The Smurfs etc. Funny sometimes arranged real landscapes that were built. Should have seen if you like comics. This museum placed me in my English childhood joys, watching Tin Tin, Astrid, and the Smurfs. The collection was amazing and exceeded expectation. I never realized the influence of Belgian cartoons and their global impact. It is a 40min to 2 hour tour depending on the details you wish to view. The Moof museum is located in Brussels next to the centrum Novatel Hotel from the Charles Buls Fountain.

Amazing museum!! It’s quite small but it has so many figurines! And you get to learn so much about comics. Bloody brilliant. I absolutely recommend it if you are a fan of comics! We went there without booking and there was no queue.

I am a big fan of comics, and I have been to many museums around the world, but this one is the best. It is a must-visit for any fan of comics, or anyone who wants to learn more about the history of comics. The museum has a great collection of figurines, and the staff are very knowledgeable. I highly recommend it.

If you like comics from France and Belgium (think Asterix, Tintin, Lucky Luke, Marsupilami etc), with a bit of other cartoons thrown in, then this is the place for you. Wonderful collection of figurines and stories about the history of these characters and the people who made them. Most signposting is in English, French and Dutch.

  • 3/5 Stephanie P. 2 years ago on Google
Nice collection of figures, must be especially great for Tintin fans, as the museum kinda puts a small focus on this comic. But more a collection than a museum, a little expensive in comparison to other museums and for the amount of time you need for it (we went through it within under an hour)

So we only had time for one of the two comics related museums in Brussels and happened to be near this place when deciding. The collection is really impressive. We especially were looking for something that had the history of Tin Tin and the Smurfs, and we got that and a whole lot more. It uses figurines to tell the stories more so than displaying tons of comic strips/books, but that worked great for us. It even had a little bit Star Wars nerds, which put it over the top for us.

We have visitied Moof comic's museum with my wife and our 2.5 years old daughter. Inside is really funny & entertaining. As parents, you will travel to your childhood by seeing your favourite comic book figures (my special favourite is Tin Tin ;) and also for our daughter, it was really entertaining. At the end, she was afraid a little bit because of a character but she still remembers there.

It’s a museum with large collection of figurines from the world of comics, including Tintin, The Smurfs, Spirou, etc. , also some figurines from the US comics, ie Spider-man, Hulk, superman. A comic fan may feel existed to see these collections. They are displayed in a theatrical way. There are some curated stories about each publication of The Adventure of TinTin which I found it’s very interesting.

  • 4/5 TheRealAugust 1 year ago on Google
This museum is mostly a huge colection of collectibles from various countries, but mostly TinTin and The Smurfs. It also has some sections on video games, comics, etc. It's definitely worth the visit.

  • 5/5 Cristi 1 year ago on Google
Fantastic museum which brings to life famous comics characters. The atmosphere is really immersive and thematic by comic. Better than the museum of comics. The part about how cartoons are created was very interesting.

Went mainly to see Smurf things which there was a good selection of, but there were plenty of other characters some well known and others maybe more famous in Belgium. There are also videos and displays on the history of the comic books and character merchandise. Unusual and interesting

We really enjoyed this place. It has a fantastic collection and is good for both children and adults. The only thing is that we would have liked English books in the shop. The museum is different from the Comic art museum, this one has all the figures and is more fun for everyone.

Excellent experience!! A brief history of comics with plenty of Figurines and extra detailed text. Tintin, Asterix, Lucky Luck and many others heroes are there in real sizes to take photos and learn about them. Highly recommended, especially for families with children but also for adults.

If you're a fan of comics and figurines...this is the right place for you to visit. The collection were a lot and the arrangements were great in my personal opinion. Since I grew up with the characters like Asterix, Tintin, and Lucky Luke...I really like the museum. When I visited the museum...it's not crowded so I really can enjoy it (I came at Saturday afternoon). There's a discount for student, senior and children at certain age. Don't forget about this.

Great museum even for adults... I would like to see little bit more smurfs there, but anyway nice time... Little bit disapointing that being from abroad we can't pay with credit card... In 21 century it's like a joke...

  • 5/5 Kanzeone A. 4 years ago on Google
The museum was not large so you can see everything in 30-40 mins. If you watched “The adventures of Tintin”, “The Smurfs”, “The adventures of Asterix” or have interest in comics then you will love it. There are many more cartoons and comics inside the museum and you can take photos as long as you don’t use flashlight. There is a small shop outside the museum. If you have time make sure to visit the museum.
