On the South side of the lake you have a (hippy style) bar, which is nice in summer with some live music. On the North side you can find Magiq Spiegeltent which in summer has almost every weekend a party. In the middle of the lake there is a sailing club where you have the calmest and nicest view, it’s a bit hard to find but the reward is amazing! There are a lot of signs that swimming is prohibited but lots of people still do in summer. Lots of seaweed and alga in the lake but that’s mostly at the borders. From what I heard from the swimmers it is enjoyable. The police sometimes passes, maybe they will warn you maybe not even say anything but for sure not give you a ticket.

I went there with my bike and it was the best decision I could ever make! It's really stunning, beautiful, I don't even know how to describe this wonderful place! I advice you to go on a sunny day with the bike, you'll love it!

Pretty much the only bit of actual nature left in Antwerp, and now they're going to destroy it... This is my favorite spot in the whole city, the only place where you can get away from all the noise and construction, it absolutely needs to be kept intact.
