Monument van Don Quichot

Tourist attraction Monument

👍👍 Don Kişot un heykelinin bulunduğu meydan. Grand Palace a çok yakın. Don Kişot ve yardımcısı Sancho Panza çok güzel betimlenmiş. Brüksel in tarihi yerlerini gezerken, bu meydana da uğrayıp heykeli görmek ve fotoğraf çekmek için zaman ayırmaya değer...

A little tribute in Brussels to Spanish culture and our best known book, El Quijote.

One of the two interesting monuments at the Place d'Espagne is the easily recognisable Don Quixote and his companion Sancho Panza. It is a classic depiction of Don Quixote and Sancho riding stead and donkey as they make way into Quixote's world of madness. Have a quick look and check out the statue of Hungarian Musician Bela Bartok as well if you enjoy monument viewing.

One of my favorite character of all time and all books, Don Quixote... like myself some times (maybe sometime like many of us), a wanderer searching for something, fighting with his own "demons". I was happy to find him in Bruxelles!

Located near the main groot markt place and all the other tourists attractions, this big statue is is worth a visit if you’re in the area ! The statue dating from the 90s is raised high on a platform. It is quite big also and it represents Don Quixote and Sancho Panza from the famous 17th century novel by Miguel de cervantes. Note that in the novel, these 2 never reached brussels during their mission ! Still a nice tribute and beautiful monument to look at ! It should be a 5 mins stop during your brussels tour 👍🏻

Clean and tidy on this end of the market. Conveniently located near the busy market area but tucked away where less people are. Very quiet, there are actually 2 statues over on this side.
