10/10 recommend the tour!! Fraser was an absolutely AMAZING tour guide! We were laughing for the entire 3 hours (which flew by)! I learned so much about Belgian history and culture and was able to appreciate Brussels even more!

This tour is spectacular. I mean a free tour with your choice of language (English or Spanish), knowledgeable guides who are also funny and smart? How can it not be? The tour is long (over 2 hours) but you can leave whenever you want. I would say it was worth staying with and then coming back to places you want to explore more later. You meet at the Grand Place and don't worry you will be able to see the huge red umbrellas. Our guide Peter was great. He made fun of the super touristy things (like mannekin pis) which made me want to take the tour even more. I also really liked that he was Belgium and British and could share his personal lineage and passion for Brussels with us. During the break he gave suggestions on where to eat and drink. Another thing I noticed was that he made sure he spoke on a personal level with every single person in the tour. I learned a great deal during this tour and really appreciated that I was able to go on it.

Mathias was an excellent, friendly and knowledgeable guide. He answered all the burning questions easily and took us around the main parts of Brussels, even during a heatwave!

We did the walking tour of Brussels today with Fraser. He was fabulous. He was knowledgeable about all things Brussels and very entertaining as well. He was witty and charismatic. He made the entire tour so enjoyable. Our group had a wide variety of people from many countries and he made everyone feel included. He gave us chocolate, beer & lunch recommendations that will be so helpful throughout the rest of our visit in Brussels. If we have guides half as great as Fraser in other cities, our vacation will be a great success.

Max was brilliant! A bigger than expected group but kept us all engaged and gave us so much information with such passion for his hometown. Plenty of chuckles at a nice pace too :)

He's very knowledgeable and funny. Provided a lot history that was very interesting. He also suggested a few places to eat and drink. I had a great time.

Amazing tour! So glad I decided to do this tour while in Brussels. My tour guide, Laszlo, who is a Brussels native, was absolutely hilarious and gave us such thoughtful background about his city. You will learn a lot on this tour. However the tour was more focused on history then actually seeing the sights so got a little boring for me. We would stop at sights to learn more facts but didn’t really get a chance to stop and fully see the sight/take pictures.

I had an amazing time going on Sandemans Tours in Brussels this weekend. I joined a free city tour with Tom in the morning and had such a great time that a friend (someone I actually met on this tour) and I decided to sign up for the beer tasting tour Tom ran that evening. There we met many more amazing people on the tour and tried some fantastic beers. Tom is very knowledgeable and I highly recommend him to anyone looking to get to know the history of this city better.

My partner and I stumbled upon this walking tour, completely by accident, the day we arrived in Brussels. We opted in to the tour and met our guide, who was fantastic. Right from the street of the tour we knew that it would be unlike the previous walking tours we had done. Paul was incredibly energetic and entertaining, as well as knowledgeable and helpful. We learnt a great deal about the history of Brussels, and Belgium in general, that we had no idea about, and got many wonderful tips about things to do, eat and see while we are here. Whether you are in Brussels for a day or a week, and even if it is not your first time, I would 100% recommend this tour, especially if you manage to snag Paul as your guide.

Had a tour with Fraser the other day which was incredible! He gave us so much history, paired with his quick and inviting comedy. This is the second Sandemans tour I have done (the first being in Edinburgh... take a tour with Fiona if you go there) but after these experiences I will definitely be searching out this company in other cities! I took the Free walking tour of Brussels in May of 2015 and had a fantastic time. Our tour guide (I can't remember his name I'm so upset) immediately started the tour off with an ice breaker which I LOVED because I was able to make connections with the other people in my group and hang out with a few after the tour completed. It was cold had on-and-off rain storms, so not the greatest for a walking tour but our guide made it worth it. He was so informative and helpful and his love for Brussels and Belgium in general was infectious. Would definitely recommend doing a tour once you arrive to Brussels - it really makes you appreciate and enjoy the city more!
