Impressive museum! Sadly I got an audio guide with a low battery and it died in the middle of my visit. You get to keep the strap of the audio guide as a souvenir by the way. It takes around 2-3h to see everything depending on your speed. It starts with a chronological order since 1900. There is a lot of information for car enthusiasts and also for people who just want to learn more about the history of car making and the different inventions/technologies throughout the history. The design of the building itself is amazing. There are lockers and coat storage places. Toilets, which were remarkably clean, are available not only during the start/end of the museum but there is one in each level as far as I remember. At the end of the tour, some fun interactive activities are available which can also be suitable for kids, I think it was called science center or something similar. The gift shop had a very limited selection and was quite overpriced.

Fantastic museum!! I was impressed and it was cheaper than I expected. There were expositions from each decade since 1900. They were really really beautiful most of the car designs. The building itself was also pretty and quite impressive. Even the loft was cool.

What a great museum! We really enjoyed all the interactive parts of the museum and getting a walk through history viewed through the lens of the inventions and innovations with motorized vehicles. It was really fascinating and we spent more time than we planned. Plus the museum design was really neat! So glad we went!!

The MERCEDES-BENZ MUSEUM was amazing! When you first arrive, you take the elevator to the top floor and walk down the spiralling path. It starts with the earliest vehicles and the vehicles get progressively newer the further down you go. The museum was well laid out with plenty of lighting. The parking garage on the backside of the museum made the visit painless and easy.

Definitely a must visit place if you love everything cars or even history. Took the guided tour, and was given a very in depth rich history of Mercedes-Benz. The models on display were simply stunning. It was amazing to know how the company started very humbly and progress into what it is today.

My time at the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart left me with mixed feelings. 🏎️💔 While there were positives, some aspects fell short of my expectations. The museum layout and historical insights into Mercedes-Benz vehicles were well done, and the reasonable entrance fee was a plus. However, the lack of significant changes over the past 5 and a half years was a bit disappointing. 🕰️🤔 I hoped for fresh additions to keep the experience captivating for returning visitors. A downside was the presence of unrelated political propaganda along the walking route between floors. 🚫🗳️ This seemed out of place and distracted from the museum's automotive focus. The souvenir shop at the end didn't live up to expectations due to high prices. 💰😕 It dampened the overall value after paying the entrance fee. I recommend avoiding the museum during summer holidays due to large crowds. 🌞🚶‍♂️ This can detract from the enjoyment of the visit. In conclusion, the Mercedes-Benz Museum has highlights, especially for car enthusiasts, but updates, pricing, and overall visitor experience could be enhanced. 🏁🚗

Even for non car lovers, this place is still good to visit. What more for car enthusiasts. Having gone to 2 famous car museums in Stuttgart, here’s my take for Mercedes Benz, the exhibits are informative and I like how the museum flows with time and also with other world events. You will see why the entire Mercedes Benz or (Daimler) group is so important to the history of Germany The gift shops are well equipped with pretty nice souvenirs to get from. There are cafes and a restaurant. There are also locker rooms and coat rooms if you are bringing bigger bags you can store them and go for your tour. Went alone and spent about 2.5 hours or so in there. Staff are helpful and friendly. This museum is more family oriented and there are 7 levels of exhibits. I enjoyed myself especially knowing the history of Germany and the company. Ever wondered the names of Daimler, Benz, Mercedes and how are they related and why is it being used interchangeably? What does the logo stands for? You will get your answer here.

This has to be one of the best car museums in the world! It is huge and offers so many cars to see. It also tells the history of the world in a good way as you walk through the floors. I highly recommend this place even if you are not a car geek 😃

Best place to know about the history of Benz. Huge collection of cars right from it's inception to the current date. Visited this place in 2012..during my visit to Stuttgart.

It will take nearly 4 to 5 hours to explore the all floor properly. The entry ticket is 10 euro and once you enter into the museum, you will be given audio guide which is unable with RF. The museum has such great architecture which follows the timelines and evolution of cars from 1885 to till now. It's a great place for car enthusiasts and children. It is located near by Daimler Head office and Can reach by train easily.

We went to this museum on Sunday and were lucky that we got free entry. Due to Corona we were wearing mask all the time but other than that everything went smoothly. If you are interested in history and cars you will not get bored at all. This place is huge and organized as well. It takes at least 3 hours to thoroughly experience every thing. very recommendable museum

The Museum is very nice. Starting at the top floor you work your way from the invention of the first engine, to the first motorized carridge to the first car and get a good historical view of transportation as we know it today. We enjoyed the exhibits that were much more than just looking at cars. The museum shows connections between world events and the car industry avoiding controversial issues.

Great museum to visit if you are into history, cars, or both. The museum is laid out very nicely and there is a lot of information on the journey the car brand has been on until today. Would recommend buying tickets ahead of time but we went during the height of COVID and there was no line. The have a cafe and restaurant on site for you to eat of get a quick bite to eat.

Have visited the museum with my wife. Great experience for both of us. Highly recommend. You can look, read and listen about every little detail, you can go fast, or you can combine. There is also a small restaurant, so you can eat something if you are really hungry.

Not all museums are boring! ;) This is such a great place to visit if you are fond of cars, technology or history. It would take 3 to 4 hours to cover all the sections. The audio guide works seamlessly. The cars on display are maintained with utmost care and are very well organized. Overall it's a must visit place for any automotive enthusiast!

Very cool and bigger than expected museum. The interactive audio was spotty but very cool to hear some of the history. Lots of history in this museum of the vehicle, transport, and inventions that changed the world. Definitely a must see in Stuttgart.

Amazing place to visit, the museum starts by a story telling journey from the top floor to down. Starting from the idea of building a mechanical car, motors evolution, cars early concepts to modern cars. What fascinated me the most was the cars that produced for a short-period then disappeared for many reasons (no-use, wars, failure of concept, ... etc.). I do like the place and will visit it again!

A very nice museum if you’re fond of cars, with a lot of technical info in the audio guide. Even if you don’t know much about cars, like me, there is a beautiful range of exhibits tracing the journey of Daimler and Benz through the world wars and after. Some of the replicas of the cars are stunningly detailed. It’s really admirable how the company acknowledges some of the more troubled parts of its history too.

This was my first visit to the Mercedes Museum and I have to admit that I was really positively surprised. The architecture is amazing and totally fitting to the themes that are shown. Each of the eight levels tells unique stories throughout the history of Mercedes Benz. It’s easy to navigate through the museum and just beautifully made. Worth a visit! Or another one.

The useum in Stuttgart is a fantastic museum that takes visitors on a journey through the history of the car and of Mercedes. I was particularly impressed by the variety of exhibitions and the way they were presented. I recommend that Museum to anyone who wants to gain an insight into the history and culture of the automotive industry and the history of the Mercedes.

Beautiful place even for those who's not interested in cars. Take audio guide and you can hear information about every vehicle in a museum. Sometimes audio guide doesn't work straight away but a little bit of patience and magic happens. Everything is explained really well and plenty of information about every vehicle. Few euros for a ticket is really worth.

One of the best automobile museums that I have been to (as an automotive enthusiast)! The museum was filled with not only detailed history about the car as a mode of transportation, but also world history so that one could understand the context of which the inventions or innovations were made in. Such a diverse collection of cars, iconic and legendary. 4 stars because I would have loved to see the latest cars from Mercedes-Benz. The newest ones in the museum were only concept cars from the past decade. Bit disappointed in this respect but all in all, worth the visit!

Visited Mercedes, Audi, BMW and Porsche museums in one trip. Even though I'm a BMW fan, I have to admit that the Mercedes Museum is the best on this list. (Translated by Google) All the history of the iconic Mercedes brand in this magnificent and extraordinary museum - an incredible and sublime collection of vehicles from the beginning, before it was still the name of the brand. The 1st engine of 1 horse 😂🤣, the 1st car, a majority of those which followed, but also, buses, trucks, formulas 1 ... vehicles of famous people ... the popemobile too .. . the story alongside that of the brand, told to this day. Hearing aids in the chosen language ... the shop at the end and the possibility of fitting in some new models. Business is business 😀. But what a pleasure. And a nice little gift at the end 😉. No no, not a car 😋 ... A splendid museum not to be missed if you are going to Stuttgart. Even if you are not necessarily a fan of cars, you will necessarily come out with stars in your head, if only by the state of restoration of the vehicles, or by all the technologies from this large German group which brought the modernity, comfort and safety of all vehicles today. Business is business 😀. 😀 💖

Best museum I have ever visited and if you come near Stuttgart do visit it not only to see history of the company but of the car manufacturing as they were closely interlinked from the start and still are today! You first go with modern elevator to the top of the building and then you descend around starting from first automobiles to the last one you can buy and there is also nice place to eat. You get audio player and can follow the Mercedes-Benz-Maybach story with many interesting information. I was also pleasantly surprised that ticket for museum is only 5 euro but you will have additional cost of reaching this place as I did by using S bahn line from main Stuttgart train station. You arrive and small train station and just need to follow tables and you will see beautiful museum building. Near is also stadium originally used for Euro football and now for concerts and I was really impressed with lineup for this summer.

Personally i loved the museum. Museum is of eight story building, which doesn't look so from outside. From the top floor you will see the vintage or oldest vehicles. Ticket for one person is 10 Euros. For students you can get it for 5 Euros. Employees of Mercedes or Daimler can visit this for free of cost. You can easily reach from Stuttgart Central railway station, which takes around 20-25 minutes in S-bahn (kind of a tram or train, runs under and over the road). There is also the facility of locker for luggage and you can use free of cost. You can use washroom there free of cost, in many floors you'll see the washrooms. In current corona (02/10/21) situation you take entry by showing vaccination certificate.

Impressive, well organized and interesting. You don’t need to be a car enthusiast to enjoy the history of transportation presented so well in this museum. The journey starts at the top floor with a horse :) Take your time while you go around and enjoy. There are some activities for kids as well

Amazing museum, exceptionally clean and well presented. Fascinating history of Mercedes-Benz. Audio guide in multiple languages provided upon entry. If you visit Stuttgart and even have just a passing interest in automotive history 100% worth visiting. A must see!

Dream for Mercedes freaks and not only that! There's a lot to see, not only cars, but also there's a lot of history apart from the Mercedes theme. Architecture of building is very interesting, some kind of industrial/crude, but with modern solutions. I'll recommend this place to everyone!

Excellent museum with the greatest Automobile company story, the cars and display of them is perfect. Had a great historic trip through this museum and enjoyed the Mercedes story. Excellent!

Great museum with an historical part and a modern part. The audio guide was helpful. Very complete, it took us 3 hours to do the whole museum. The student price were very affordable (5€) The shop at the end was quite disappointing, very expensive and poor choice of products.

The most amazing experience I had in a museum ever! From the museum’s amazing architecture and design, to the chronological walkthrough full of interesting facts of both Mercedes and world history, to the fun experiences offered at the end. For an F1 fan, the Silver Arrows level was suuuuch a dream!♥️♥️♥️

Stuttgart is home to Mercedes, so it was not a surprise to select this industrial town to host a museum dedicated to this luxurious car brand. For those who love car industry (and Mercedes particularly) will love the experience at this modernly designed and laid out Museum. The tour in the museum will take them from the early days of this prestigious brand to the modern days. Cars of all shapes and designs are displayed in a visitor friendly way. The German architectural firm designed the museum in 3 circles that come eventually to form almost a rounded corners triangle. Indoors the visitor goes up the three open levels by taking a ramp that rises gently allowing a perfect view of the whole space. The museum has a restaurant and a bistro. To get to the museum from Stuttgart train station, take tram S1. The museum is closed on Mondays. Admission fee: 10€ (Reduced: 5€)

Very modern and clean museum. It tells you the story of the brand and, thus, also of the automobile, while still not being too rosy about the company's past. Not too expensive - paid 10€ pp. It's something you should have seen if you're from around here and/or are interested in automobiles.

Anyone who loves Mercedes, or even cars, should visit. One of the best car museums I've been too. Great selection of display and lots of helpful and interesting audio information.

Awesome experience! As a Mercedes Benz product expert, can’t go to Stuttgart without visiting this monument of innovation. You’ll have fun, get educated and most of all, empower your knowledge in auto knowledge.

My kids are always bored at museums, but they were NOT with this one! From the time you step foot in front of the museum, it already amazes you. It’s so clean, modern and big! Even the elevator was so cool and had a futuristic feel. We opted for the audio tour, and loved it. They have an adult and kids version, which my boys enjoyed so much. Every time we stepped into a new showroom, it automatically gives you detailed info on the cars and that specific era. I loved the spiral staircases and love the entire setup of the building. The very top of the museum are the older cars from the beginning of Mercedes and as you continue your trip on down, it comes to the new aged cars. There is a ton of detailed information along the staircases and the views are amazing. They also have a little snack area where you can purchase food and drinks as well. Needless to say the cars were amazing!!! This museum was very thought out and you can tell so much time was put into it. Everything was so pristine and very well kept. If you have children and they are always bored with museums, then this is the place for you to not only enjoy but for them as well.

The museum is huge, it is very nice organized. You go from top to ground following the history of Mercedes. There is audio guide that tells the story and numerous info points for each car. Not so interesting for children even at the age of 7. In the afternoon the restaurant and the cafeteria are already closed.

From classic to modern... really good experience. To understand how a brand born and rise you should visit this modern museum. They also give a electronic guide to you at the begining. But they also sold a mask while we had already one. Lastly, you should spend minimum half day to exacly understand and visit museum.

Excellent museum. Amazing collections of cars from all eras. We will go back to see the things we missed. Also has a special kids design experience and two places to eat.

Perfect and well planned museum containing rich information regarding the history of Mercedes Benz. Requires a minimum 3 hours to go through all the models and details of the exhibits. Museum is well maintained and supported by staffs in each floor. Loved the ambience and detailing of the exhibits. To avoid crowds recommended to go during weekdays (excluding Monday as it's closed). For more information refer the Benz museum website

Easily could of spent all day exploring the museum! The building itself is so interesting. Highly recommend getting the audio guide. They have a coat check area and a small locker if needed. The cafeteria at the end of the museum has a great selection of drinks and snacks. Don't forget to check out the giftshop! We took home a few souvenirs!!

I'm a huge Mercedes Benz fan, so I might be a little biased. But it was a fantastic museum. The selection of cars blew me away and the architecture of the building was incredible. A fantastic experience, I truly recommend. I also suggest coming as early as possible because it's a very popular attraction and it gets very crowded.

  • 5/5 Aaron C. 1 year ago on Google
The experience was amazing. If you have a love of cars, history, or architecture this is the place to be. The cars are beautiful and the building is just as impressive. 100% worth the visit and you’ll get your moneys worth. The gift shop is definitely worth visiting especially if you need a gift for someone who loves their Mercedes.

Great to see the evolution of cars. Impressive collection of cars from the original to the latest high tech. It's also fun to learn MB makes all kinda of vehicles besides cars. Mercedes-Benz Museum is another famous and unique attraction at Stuttgart. You can take the train or bus number 45 (better option) from the city centre. The decoration, art quality and exhibits in the museum is world-class and excellent. You will definitely feel shocked and amazing. Apart from different models of benz cars, I admire the introduction of German and even world-wide history. You can learn more practical knowledge and deeper recognition of the growth of this great enterprise. Highly recommended!

  • 5/5 Marcin U. 9 months ago on Google
I highly recommend this place. The museum tells the story of the Mercedes-Benz brand in a very interesting way. A beautiful exhibition that shows cars that have been very important on the automotive market over the years. Only minus for not taking responsibility for cooperation with Hitler.

Located in Stuttgart the Mercedes Benz Museum is worth visiting when you are in the region Stuttgart. The tickets to the Museum visit also includes an audio guide which clearly explains the history of first ever made automobile. One can easily spend 4-5 hours and if you are a car enthusiast even more. Highly recommended. I find the parking at the premises however expensive.

Must say... wasn't too excited to go here, but our friend insisted. Glad we listened! I think I ended up having more fun than he did! Pretty cool to walk down the walkways reading through history of Germany, mostly pertaining to Mercedes-Benz. It wasn't a display of all their cars, like I thought it was going to be. It really was more about the history, and all the other ways Benz contributed to German history and economy - other than making good looking luxury cars. You start off the tour from the 8th floor and walk your way down in this beautifully designed architecture. Lots of lines and curves, and plenty of cars. At the end of it, you get to keep the lanyard that holds the phone with the audio tour guide. headphones are comfortable, and fit around your head, not your ears. It was lunch time when we finished, and the museum's club restaurant had surprisingly good food! Not sure what the whole deal in Germany is for not serving tap water... or ice for that matter... but the food was delicious! We had the steak salad, pizza, and brats with fries. The salad was out of this world.

The museum layout is a bit confusing and the audio guide that they gave me didn’t work. I wish they provided maps for us. When I returned my broken audio guide to the lady, she didn’t seem to care. But overall, it’s a really cool place to visit, especially if you love cars. It’s cool to learn the history of the company. They have tons of vehicles to look at too. If you want to read about everything in the museum a visit will take you an entire day. Definitely worth a trip!! The tickets were well priced and included a free audio guide!

An awesome collection of cars and paraphernalia that is a must see in Stuttgart. It is a bit confusing to navigate the interior, with the displays spread between levels and not connected linearly. There are very good displays exploring the timeline and history of the company, and it is easy to spend several hours taking everything in. Only slight let down for me was there was no display for their modern performance cars such as the AMG or Black Series lineup.

  • 5/5 Machulkas 8 months ago on Google
Really nice experience, the whole museum is built as some sort of timeline of Mercedes-Benz. There are many of beautiful cars,trucks,F1 cars, buses There is a restaurant with nice food for a good price. Fan-shop with many, many models of cars, clothing and even with stroller :D. Worth visiting.

Certainly a “must see” in Stuttgart. Very informative, providing a lot of context for development of the motor vehicle industry. Luckily we went quite early, as the queues were quite long when we left around 13:00. Unfortunately the audio guide did not work all the time, but we certainly had enough info.

A great place to visit when in Stuttgart. I have been there twice now and I am mesmerized each time. Their organized manner, way of storytelling is just amazing. We started at the very beginning of human civilization of using horses as a mode of transportation. From there, the discovery and use of motor vehicles, steam engines and fuel engines was just marvelous. A huge collection of collectibles and historical facts made the entire experience worthwhile. This was really a great experience for us. They also had a nice cafeteria and souvenir store along with a simulation centre. Tickets are subsidized for students, kids and senior citizens.

Awesome museum to learn more about the evolution of Mercedes cars, trucks, buses, etc. you’ll even get a history lesson of Germany if you spend time reading the informative displays on the side. There are 8 floors and you can certainly spend many hours here if you go through the audio guide in great detail. 3 hours will certainly be enough to get an in-depth experience. 4-5 for an extremely detailed visit.
